How weird to have stumbled upon this when he died the other day. All "(x) is dead" internet rumours are true, they only get their timing wrong. Reed was one of the best. "The Velvet Underground", their third album. Wow, the best. "New York", released roughly 20 years later, is my favourite Reed solo album. Thanks Lou, for all those amazing songs. Your musical gift to the world. And thanks SNL for finally making all these clips available on UA-cam, a gift of comedy to the world. Thank you.
Did they not write any jokes for this other than “Lou Reed is dead and he doesn’t deny it”? Jimmy seems terrified of Lou.
As he should be.
Jimmy is a small man. Especially next to Lou. Lou was larger than life.
