If they do change something from the book, I hope it’s the proposal 😅, well more like I hope they change the way he worded it and make it more into a proper proposal with him on one knee and asking her to marry instead of just springing the whole “for heaven’s sake Penelope, are you going to marry me or not?” on her out of the blue, that way instead of making it like he’s doing it to take responsibility for his actions towards her in the carriage, it can seem more like it’s because he loves her and not just responsibility.
I totally agree. And I hope that they change him being such a jealous dick over her being Lady Whistledown and her success as a writer.
Yes same, I just finished reading the book and it was so sudden and brief, I felt cheated haha
I didn't read the books yet, but to me that "For heaven’s sake Penelope, are you going to marry me or not?" sounds like "I can't take my hands of you, the attraction is too strong, I must have you as my wife, so hurry up, decide and put an end to my misery" which, in my opinion, is actually very romantic and hot, not like just taking a responsibility. But maybe it's out of the context and I don't understand the atmosphere of that situation, I would need to read the books to have a better insight.
@@karinawolniak8440 In the book he's a little more of an ass and it was right after he compromised her in the carriage. Being seen coming out of the carriage unchaperoned, he would have been forced to marry her. So romantically it was very disappointing.
I was a little disappointed too by the proposal but, in reality, he propose exactly because he compromised her. And she knows... but at least "he cares for me" she think when he is trying to talk her mum. He understand that it was love later after taking with Dafne. And the scene when he say it is one of the famous that everybody is waiting but at the same time I am too embarassed to watch. But I like that in the serie they put another man for Pen. This is something that I will love to see... I hope Colin will burn in jelousy.
I wonder what's going to happen with her and Eloise's relationship in this series compared to the books. The books didn't include the drama between them.
Yes, it's also interesting that he learned Penelope's secret in season 2. I think this also causes friction in their friendship. In the book, however, I remember that he didn't find out sooner, but when everyone found out, the problems between Penelope and Eloise came after that. So this part was brought forward.
You know what i find funny, that people think there's even a small chance Penelope will choose Lord Debling over Colin, not happening Colin and Penelope are end game and Lord Debling was just added for drama.😅

I just wish they had a pg version for all of us of all of the series. I read the books ages ago and only watch clips of the series, so must have missed the worst of whistledown to the bridgertons besides statements to try to help them (that usually worked). Can anyone fill me in?

What about Penelope being discovered by Colin. Like if he does fall in love with her and then finds out??? What a betrayal
To be fair he doesn't see it as a betrayal in the book. If anything he is rather impressed and angry at the fact that she isn't taking the 'out' that is practically being handed to her by someone else claiming to be Lady Whistledown. But, I do see where you are coming from as Lady Whistledown in the show is much more vocal on some matters, especially those to do with the Bridgertons and Featheringtons. We shall see.
not like the book, if you cannot wait to read the book it's much better than this storyline which is a bit similar to the first series
