Jesus didn't have time (remember 30 years or so) to teach people the 'practical' way to be one with God. Yogananda's teaching will help you merge your theoretical knowledge (bibles and books) with practical experience (meditation).

Yoganandas understanding of the Bible is a syncretistic mixture of Hinduism and the Gospel. I did his meditations and his lessons, read mist of his books. When i suffered from lung cancer stage 4 Yogananda wasn't there but Jesus appeared to help me profoundly in physically and spiritually. The truth is: he is the only redeemer. He helped me, Yogananda did not. I got babtized and received the promised Holy Spirit. Now i know this is the only and last incarnation by grace and only by grace of Jesus, the Messiah, the son of God. This is the Gospel. If you don't know Jesaja 53 i really recommend to read this prophesy, given 700 before Christ.

When Babaji is not even an Avatara how SRF Church can name Babaji as Mahavatar Babaji. How to remove sadness and Sufferings ? There are 1000s of Babas meditating in Himalya, whose names we don't know. We call all of them as Babaji. None of them is even Avatar, how far it is justifiable to call anyone as Mahavatar? It is an intentional insult to all our Avatars of Lord Vishnu lord Shiva. An Avatar has all the miraculous powers by birth and doesn't need to meditate or achieve them by meditation or yoga. All these mischiefs have been done by YSS/SRF (Church) and many other Ashrams minting 1000s of crores from their bogus Ashrams in the name of Mahavatar Babaji. These Ashram doesn't have even a temple of any Hindu Avatara of Lord Vishnu like Rama or Krishna. These are mischievously propagating Babaji as superior to all our Avatars. It is heartening.
All avatars and holy ones do not have their attainments simply by divine "automatic grace" ... they have attained thru incarnations by efforts in meditation, just like anyone else.
