WLToys K969 Unboxing, Testing and Review 1/28 4wd scale R/C Drift

- This version, the K969 comes with drift tires. It is a plastic compound tires for sliding. Comes with a 2s Lipo battery that is said to have a run time of about 20mins. I ran mine for 10mins from storage voltage which is basically half of its full capacity. So yes, about 20mins or more sounds about right. The little bugger is hard to drive as I no longer drive 4wd and no gyro helping out with transitions. Has made my skill weak. Lol
It is a very good buy for its price. Got it at shopee for about 38usd as I used a discount coupon available. Should be about 42-45USD at other online stores.
My son had fun with the car. I may decide to keep it 4wd for the time being as I did learn on the 4wd before jumping to 4wd cs and then moved on to rwd with gyro.

I’ve been seeing this WLTOYS k969 Porsche and it’s rally counterpart the k989 Ford Focus in Shopee. It’s around 2,300 pesos. It’s cheap honestly, it’s a bit botch on the built quality. But the way it’s designed is like that of 1/10 touring car.
You also have cars like the Sinohobby TRQ1 which has simple plastic chassis but with considerably less fitment issues.
For best budget 1/28, someone suggested me to get an Atomic AMZ. Which is considerably better judging by the looks alone compared to WLtoys and Sinohobby Mini Q. Though it atleast 5k and you still need to provide wheels and lexan body separately. It’s not available In Shopee. Maybe in Banggood, haven’t tried buying from there yet.
Would you recommend this for beginners? How about the Mini Q TRQ1? Should I get this one or the TRQ 1 as a begginer? Thanks man!
Yuan Francisco I have not tried the QTRQ 1. I got this because it is by far the cheapest one out there with the parts that have potential to be a good drifter. As with any kit like this, it is a good starting point for beginners to get the feel for drifting as it is very cheap. Also a chance to learn how to build or rebuild one properly in order to get it to drift better as this kit is far from perfect out of the box.
My friend say the 1/24 scale body fit really well which one did i should choose? 1/24 or 1/28?
It's really all about wheelbase. 1/24 or 1/28 if they have about 96-102mm of wheelbase will fit.
Here's a bit of an idea. Like a 1/24 rx7 would fit which has maybe 94-96mm of wheelbase. Then a Skyline R34 1/28 has about 93-95mm of wheelbase. The Skyline R34 1/24 scale would have about 130mm of wheelbase which would be too long for stock K969.
So, it's really all about the wheelbase and, your shell of choice and scale and doing modifications to make it fit.

Actually, same here. Never really given it much time to work as stock as I am so used to driving just gyroed rwd drift.

No, they come with CVDs on all 4.
Hi sir naka RWD set up na ba ying tinest mo? Based sa ibang reviewss may madali icontrol if mod to RWD.
Sa test lang siya 4wd stock out of the box. After nun, mod agad to rwd yun. Matest ko lang base handling.
Yes masmadali control kung rwd. As long as maayos siya nakatono.

@@johnybrav3 naku sobrang tagal na nalimutan ko na. So far mga 3d printed parts lang. Ah tsaka manual labor sa axle niya para mapaliit ko yung sa harap. For a time binebenta ko siya.

@@dencio1976 thanks for the help, i did and received one awhile ago. Found that it really isn't my cup of tea. Like the short course trucks and monster trucks more. Now im trying to figure out what to do with this lill guy
@@qvo3426 Drift rc cars are only and I mean only fun when you drift with other people and you do tandems and challenge yourself. Otherwise it really gets old really fast especially with the difficulty of setup and driving drift.

Honestly mga 25k yan kung 1:10. Puro bnew. Pero kung makakakita ka mga 2nd hand items like 2nd hand radio controller, batteries and chargers baka umubra 15k.
All minimum yan.
@@dencio1976 Ano po irerecommend nyo po na ready to run Drift cars since po beginner palang naman po ako. Any size budget po is 3k maximum po kahit di po Rwd since po meron na po ko drift car na Hbtoys. Parang sa Tamiya lang po lay out 4wd po sya but mas maraming time pa po syang inaayos kaysa po sa takbo. Kaya po nag hahanap po ng atleast mas durable. Salamat po sensya bago po eh medyo matanong hehehe
