I will be going to this cemetery on Wednesday and I got a Voodoo tour scheduled with Robi on Thursday..Can't wait!!
I just came back from New Orleans. I love it every time I go there. The city's vibe and the amazing food are always worth coming back for.
Thanks for subscribing and taking a tour with us. We will be happy to show you around New Orleans when you get here. In the meanwhile, if you know of anyone else who might also enjoy these videos, please share us with them. We would really appreciate that! Thank you.
I was in New Orleans the first week of June 2023. I didn't get to see this cemetery, but I took the St. Charles Avenue street car down to the Garden District to check out Lafayette Cemetery #1. I was so disappointed it was closed for renovations, but that was my own fault for not checking ahead. Still had a beautiful walk around the Garden District, though. Awesome videos! Bought you a coffee and will be sending a few more!

I recently discovered this channel, and ever since I've been binge watching every one. It was an awesome compliment to Andrew with many fans of this channel acknowledging him during the Anne Rice Halloween memorial parade...I just watched it Jan. 2023.
6:46 There she is. My friends and I went up to Metairie Cemetery once just to see the Weeping Angel. Gotta admit, I thought it would be bigger.
Some also call her “ The Angel
Of Grief, no matter which one she is beautiful. 💜
I love when you do Cemetery tours!

Steph and I loved our tour of the cemetery. It was extremely impressive to see and the stories and history behind so many of the monuments were fascinating to hear.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Metairie cemetery is really cool! I love going there.
My husband recommended your channel since New Orleans is my second favorite city (besides my hometown of Los Angeles) and I have gone down a serious rabbit hole learning SO MUCH I missed on previous trips! Will definitely book a tour (or 5) next trip out, but in the meantime thank you for these great videos!! I really love this style of walking tour because it's very relaxing to have on so I can at least pretend to be back in the city or as a more interesting way to spend time on the treadmill at the gym.

Not the dragonfly at the cemetery 😭❤
Love your videos. Technical comment: left and right audio channels are reversed. This is especially noticeable in the first few minutes where cars are on the left but their noise is on the right.
Glad that you enjoyed the video Jeremy. Also, thanks for pointing that out.

Well, the sights of New Orleans must be wondrous indeed if they are capable of holding me in rapt attention for close to an hour without a word of commentary.
Thank you Andrew, such beauty and peace.
Glad you liked it Tammy!
Thanks Andrew!
Glad you enjoyed it Dennis!
Thanks again Andrew for a great tour of such a beautiful cemetery 。 It would be hard to pick a favourite spot for a small picnic 。
💀💀💀
Totally agree Ian. It's always hard to chose one.
I think my Aunt Rita is buried there. Our family goes back way back in New Orleans my cousin's owns Pete's plumbing been in Metairie since day one.
I love cemeteries, and I'd like to visit Metairie when I come the end of April (I'm a huge Louis Prima fan!). I visited St. Louis #1 when I was there 5 years ago. Metairie looks very different, so I will make the journey. Quick question. Do you folks offer live tours? I've been enjoying your videos and I think spending an afternoon with any of you would be a blast! I don't see info on your site, so please let me know. Love to meet any or all of you! Cheers!

@@FreeToursbyFootHQ Don't know what's wrong with me that this seems to be the only place I'm able to comment, but thoroughly enjoyed/LOVED my visit to New Orleans last week. Attended Robi's Voudoo tour Thursday and had a wonderful experience. Found Robi to be knowledgeable, passionate and hilarious! Lovely to meet you and have been spreading the word since I've returned home. Can't thank you enough FTBF!
Can you guys do a video on Woodville, MS

They used to have a recorded tour you could play in your car as you went through the cemetery. Do you know if they still do?

As I'm watching this beautiful cemetery, I have a question. I'm up in Cincinnati & way above sea level. How long does it take to inter someone? I'm sure some people build their mausoleums (?) ahead of time. But what if it's an unexpected death? Are people still buried this way? I hope I don't seem...crass. I'm genuinely curious.
Study for and pass the FAA Part 107 exam to shoot videos for money from a drone. I bet you could make great videos with historical lectures using a drone. Look into it.
Thanks for the suggestion. Will keep that in mind.
Very interesting, Do u know the difference between a cemetery and a graveyard?
Cemeteries refer to large burial grounds that are not affiliated with a church. A graveyard, on the other hand, refers to a burial ground that is located on a church’s property. Graveyards since attached to the churches may have stipulations that only members of that particular faith be buried there. Cemeteries, on the other hand are secular.
Thanks for asking Paula. I hope you liked the answer of our friend here.
Thanks for clarifying Fred!
Can you visit without a tour guide?
