Early on I put 5" wide GatorGuards KeelShield down length of my Hobie Outback and a thick ABS plastic TactiKeel bow keel bumper to protect it. He may have a crack in scupper holes. Hear that happens if you use the Hobie cart that uses the scuppers. Agree w Nick the plastic not as thick as Oldtown.
It's amazing how similar it looks there to the Chesapeake Bay marshes I fish in. I go to a spot near Langley AFB that's a lot like where you are, but there are fighters taking off all the time. But the grass and the low trees are the same basically.
Man idk what it is about this vid but i can see the lure fly so much better and it’s super cool lol usually I lose it and I look for the ripple when it lands lol it’s like the catcher cam in a mlb game lol
Hey Nick I’m from Miami love watching your videos..I own a 2018 PA and have trouble shooted everywhere and still getting water in my hull..do you of any place where I could send/ship my kayak so that they could figure out the issue and fix..hope your friend found his leak issue on his Outback brother
@@OffdayTherapy OK.. I was down at the Galveston Park the other day and a couple where putting in their kayaks and they were so proud of their Anchor sticks that they bought while down here and was telling me how nice to have those sticks in the marsh... as he was showing me his anchor stick he was placing it into the scupper hole ... which sounds like a good idea but actually that part of the kayak is the weakest point and a harder place to repair... I was wondering if one of them might have created a leak of their own kayaks.. best of luck...
Dude, sorry for the leak, BUT, I am glad you figured out where it was coming from. Now, how are you going to deal with it? I have a 2021 Outback & I AM curious! I use the C-Tug cart system due to fear of scupper failure. I modified mine with padded PVC pipes for the channels. C-Tug now has a winged version that is made for channeled yaks like the Hobies. Good Luck my friend! @@OffdayTherapy
@@nealhagood6792 you can unscrew the black sleeve in the scupper, so I did that and plastic welded. Then I used some sealant where scupper touches scupper insert. Then I used some marine epoxy over it and also inside around the scupper used marine epoxy. 3 trips so far no issues
Thank you for the details! As much as I have read about the scupper issues, I never read about how the scupper liners thread out! That is very comforting info! I am headed to your channel...@@OffdayTherapy
I put seat risers on my Outback which added about 2” to the height. Maybe it’s the GoPro wide angle lens but those casts seem pretty far for being so precise. 👍
I know your big into getting new reels and things I got this new cnc machined bates fishing co baitcaster mind you i fish with high end shimano try it out man I’d love to see it in your collection
Nick, good to see you in your Oldtown. A 12ft boat, feels safe in rougher water. The pdl drive and the Bixpy, NK, or Torqueedo is the perfect combo, going out 2 to 5 miles out. Youll always get there and back, on a craft you can trust. Oldtown designs there boats for 2 to 3 yrs, before releasing them. 500lb weight capacity, us amazing. And i believe a lifetime Hull warranty. 5 yrs on the, floating pdl drive. 😎 🛶 🎣
Awesome video Nick as always! Old Town looking good 👍🏻 now get out there and Show em Your stuff 🤟🏻
Love the show! Tight lines to ya!

He explained the problem in another comment and yes it had to do with the scupper holes.
Just purchased that rod with your help for my BFS setup...love it ! Thanks
🙌
You can tell this man really trying to take shots at hobbie after they didn’t warranty his pedal drive
Agreed
The kayak is taking on water. I can tell you that.
Solid fishing out there. Glad you hooked up on a flounder and a good bull. Good stuff! Tight lines sir!
Nice catch my brother 👌

If you use the scupper beach wheels check the scupper holes for cracks, pretty common leak area.
Analytics! So here ya go! I gotta pack up the truck and get down there.
Great video and always like the content
Like the video, and the unboxing. tightlines brother
Nice video. Hope all is well with the leak.

Got to love Old Town Sportsman kayaks. They are tanks.
My son and I will be fishing Galveston for the first time in a week. Where are a few good places to launch the yaks the from?
Great stuff as always… How shallow are you able to go with the PDL? My OT 106 mk can run as shallow as 9 inches of water with no problem.

Nice work.
Do you have a active discount code for digitaka? Looking at getting a new reel & supporting your content.
did you guys figure out where the leak is... I wouldn't mind knowing and what the final fix is... best of luck
Yea it was my scupper hole behind the black support sleeve.

What’s brand of motor you put on?
Click the "more" and gives the info. It's a Bixby.
