- Running behind schedule after a stop in Oakland to add equipment, Amtrak’s Coast Starlight Train #11 passes through Fremont’s Centerville district on the Niles Subdivision as it heads for its next station stop in San Jose. 6 Comet cars, and 2 Cabbages were tacked on to the rear of the train, deadheading to Southern California to be used on the Pacific Surfliner route during the X Games in Ventura. 06-27-2024

I thought it was going to take the Coast Subdivision and skip Fremont Centerville, but seems you were lucky enough to get it at this station. Great video, Jordan!
Thanks! I was tracking its routing to see which way it would go. Once I saw it on the Niles I made a beeline for Centerville, and made it just in time!
Nice rare catch! 😃
@@Martin_TrainSpotter thank you!

Is 90225 and 90215 gonna return
Not sure, but most likely..
@@ROADTRAIN23 I’ve heard that they’re being used for surfliner service
They supposed to stay permanently here I’ve heard
Will a similar consist operate tomorrow?
Not that I’m aware of. They’ve been putting this move off for a while now, and finally they made it happen today.
Will they be painted in the Surfliner paint scheme?
@@trainguy387 I have no idea, I would imagine no given that would take money that they don’t have..
Oh PS did you caught the BNSF trains on both UP freights recently
Unfortunately no, I had to work
@@ROADTRAIN23 oh ok don’t worry I’m sure there will be others like there was one yesterday on the IOANP again it had the same units as the last time I caught them but some Railfan told me that UP is leasing more BNSF trains on UP freights hope we get a ATSF warbonnet leading one someday or soon the possibility are endless
