How old are they? As I have 2 horses that are almost 3 years old. I just wanted to know when is the right time to introduce them to jumps (we have done trot poles)
Usually your supposed to introduce jumps to a horse when it's fully developed (as the leg muscles are growing and developing) , which they are fully developed at age 5 , when they are 5 Usually start with small x's then tiny verticals to build up leg strength as landing is hard on their feet , but with strengthening them up it gets less hard on the legs , and trot and canter polls for them and learning the basics is the best to teach so when they do jump they are used to aids.
Aww cute!! They're beautiful! I just hope they're not too young to jump that high and a lot. I've heard it can hurt the foal. But some small jumps are okay, in my opinion! :)
Baekhyun What are you talking about? They would have to clear obstacles in the wild. Besides, young horses are always frisking about and bucking and jumping In exuberance.
These yearlings are bred to jump. Not just any horse ! And don't worry they do this for fun and certainly not on a regular base. Have you ever seen how big jumps they make in the field just playing and bucking ,this little crossfence with very lightweight poles is just another jump for joy ! They are 6 years old now and we have waited them to be backed untill they were 4 ! And yes they are incredible showjumpers now as they showed at young age and they are sound and happy!
toos knegt I don’t feel like arguing, you can believe what you believe and I’ll believe what I believe. A horse can not support its weight and the riders weight on just two legs, it’s very hard on their legs. Horses are not “bred” to jump, if anything they would rather not jump
Actually, most horse breeds commonly used for jumping have been selectively bred to jump. Horses are very different from what they use to be due to selective breeding. This is how most breeds have come to be. Believe it or not, they are bred to jump ;)
Therese swordfoot Nonsense! Horses are tough. In the wild they would have to clear obstacles. Besides, young horses are always frisking about in exuberance. What do you want to do? Wrap them in cotton wool?
That black filly is going to grow up to be an amazing jumper - she makes an incredible outline when she jumps already!
Ttgtttwfgtt
Black Filly's got some TALENT! Ever wonder where they are now?
Their probally winning showjumpings shows 😂
The black filly cleared the crossrails with room to spare. She is gorgeous.
the black fill is born to jump, I think the grullo may be a dressage prospect lol
Gianna Faith I don’t think it’s a grullo. I didn’t really look but it has roaning and doesn’t seem to have a dorsal stripe
Gianna Faith if you watch it says it’s a grey
The black filly has an amazing natural bascule! She is a true born jumper !👍
They over jump it so much 😂
I wasn’t even born yet when they uploaded this video! 😂
I like your introduction idea. They looked like they were a little nervous but enjoyed it after the 1st time. It was up to them.

The equestrian Freak thank you so much.

Caitlyn The auzzie girl I would say 6 because most of their growing is done
Krysten Zwierschke thank you so much
Gotta Love Palominos thanks. You helped save my horse. Because I was being told to jump him at 5 months
I bet when and if then ever get ridden they will be jumpers cuz they looked happy. Gorges there just gorges!
I like the black filly I can tell she is going to be a jumper.

Icy Fleckz They would have to clear obstacles in the wild. Besides, they’re always frisking and jumping about in exuberance
@@dnr2089 That is true. They just don't have to do too much of it, but usually people know not to push a foal too far.
Who watching in 2021?!
In the pictures, all three of them jumped like two feet higher than they needed to 😂!!
Clever ponies 😂❤👀💪
Miss Unicorn xx..
Hey I know you!😁
Miss Unicorn xx i see i everywhere

Damn poor horses, all that arthritis and bone pain
Baekhyun What are you talking about? They would have to clear obstacles in the wild. Besides, young horses are always frisking about and bucking and jumping In exuberance.
They is havin fun!
2018?
And so they were never allowed out of the stall unsupervised again!
I had a yearling colt he could jump a 5bar gate with ease!
Horses aren’t designed to jump you know. Especially at that age, you are just asking for them to get arthritis!

Foals should not jump it is bad for their bones and will giv them splint's when they get older
Standy Girl and when they are wild and free, a foal NEVER Jump or what?😂 and they are a litte bit older and free to jump
I know but if they are going to compete they will have splints and will not b looked at
Shut up
Standy Girl horses are meant to jump and run idiot
Of course they can! What do you think they’re made of? Glass?!
Awh
Come out and play.
Afraid?
Makes a jump the only way for them to get to freedom
No they have 2 paddocks and the horses can jump between them.
Their jong horses, no foals!!!! Wtf are you saying!!!!!

Therese swordfoot Nonsense! Horses are tough. In the wild they would have to clear obstacles. Besides, young horses are always frisking about in exuberance. What do you want to do? Wrap them in cotton wool?
