Haley Darby-Miller I was lucky enough to have a big 16 h cremello gelding "Pookie"when I was in high school. We did pony club, a little combined training and some regional shows ( children's hunter) - which was fun and all but the best thing about him was his pretty blue eyes (and goofy sense of humor). He lived a long happy life- was almost 32! When he passed away.
Looks like everyone had a good day outside. Mom got a breath of fresh air and the kids were able to run and stretch their legs. Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. Hope they are still doing well.
What a beautiful, healthy palomino mare with twins! I could tell right off one was a colt & the other a filly by the way each was acting! The colt surely has confidence & a beautiful gait!
Katherine Hendrix Duet is a female, the “albino” is a male. I don’t think they’re the same horse. I don’t think they’ve posted any updates on Duet which may mean she may have passed away. Also fyi, the horse isn’t albino, he’s cremello :)
@@katherinehendrix3887 That's another horse. a colt named Dreams. This is Duet-facebook.com/saratogastud/photos/a.10153677185538284.1073742093.338716663283/10153677256483284/?type=3&theater
Mama looks like she has more than one horsepower. What a gorgeous gal. I had a few horses over the years but I lost my gentleman's farm to my first wife. and my last two mares died of old age. One last year and one this year (2021) Muffin was thirty, a beautiful gentle appaloosa and Chrystal a beautiful and spirited Arabian at twenty seven. I am tearing up thinking about them. I rode them and made them pull logs out of the woods and they loved the attention. I stopped working them in October 1997 when the sheriff put me out.
Daisy is gorgeous and your statement 'nobody messes with her babies...' makes me smile. I wonder how they all our now. Thanks for sharing. I love your music too.
Thanks for sharing. Very nice. Looks like the little one is having a hard time keeping but I’m sure you know what you are doing. Beautiful animals. Absolutely gorgeous. Enjoy.
How heart warming beautiful is this special family. Thanks for sharing. Never cease to amaze me what beauty there is in horses. Does the mother ever show signs of favortism when it comes to twins? I have wondered...anybody have any insight?
Tacos Schermerhorn the second foal is almost always weaker. I think she looks less healthy in terms of weight compared to her brother, and she isn't keeping up with them. That's why horse twins is almost never a good thing
I would love to see recent pics of these two, particularly Duet. It is clear how Don Quixote was going to turn out. He just happily learnt from Daisy and had a beautiful stride, even at that age.
My mare was pregnant with twins, but she couldn't make it until the end, the foals were stillborn at 9 months of gestation. I just thank God that the mother didn't suffer any physical problems. Love the video.
MKequimik Makayla Jameson I know a lot about horses and I did read one time that its rare that horses gets twins. When that happens there's always a problem. There will always be a weaker one and either they survive or the mother rejects them completely. They also have the possibility to die. But the cremelo we can see is a little weaker then the palomino but if the mother rejects the foal then she could be taken care of by hand. I have a book on horse diseases and problems. Very useful seeing as I have horses myself.
Makayla Jameson ...I thought she was ignoring her, too. I really hope Duet overcame the obvious differences and grew up to be just as healthy as her brother.
So long as she's strong enough to catch up to momma now and then to nurse, things are going reasonably well. There are no threats in the field to be protected from, and, otherwise, foals don't need that much parental attention.
absolutely precious please update your video I would love to see how these babies are going anything something I hope so ultrasound is so important to do when breeding horses it will prevent this from happening again I myself have had this happen but was fortunate enough to have an incredible veterinarian
We did do an ultrasound on Daisy, the twins dam, we only saw one embryo, I was at the scan and always look too - after 20 years of breeding I know what to look for. She is such a huge mare the other embryo must have been hiding out of range. We were very surprised that she had twins because she had been scanned. We have had many twins picked up over the years and have popped one - we would never let a mare carry twins knowingly. Luckily they are now two strapping 2 year olds of normal size. I will get some video of Duet in the next week or so, they have had to be separated because Quixote is a colt. Duet is big and beautiful - we are going to keep her as a brood mare, Quixote has been sold to a super home and is going to be a top quality riding horse.
Jenny, I have only just stumbled across your page. how perfect are your babies :) I found the video Of The colt doing loose jumping. I know I will be looking again in a few week for his sister. I'm falling in lust with your horses. The paints are stunning!! thank you for making these videos
Illiena Volynskaya Yes she does, she has lovely movement. I will take an updated video of both of them now, very fluffy as we are In the middle of winter but will get some video of them now - they are still beautiful and lovely to see them full of joy of life and their bond.
Jenni they’re beautiful and you know what you’re doing. My sister was a horse whisperer and out on a ranch in Oklahoma it was a different world back there on the Chisholm trail. All my sisters horses were green broke and most couldn’t ride them but her. I did of course later on.
I think I fell in love with Duet the moment of birth but now ... it's definite! I AM in love with that tiny cremello!! In Alaska, we've horses but honestly, it's hard on them (except for the Icelandics). Best wishes with all your paliminos! I grew up with them in Texas. Daisy is beauty in motion.
My mare a Quarter horse had twins in 1989. Both healthy just like yours a filly and a colt. At about a year or so the filly fell doing the splits with her back legs. The vet had to put her down. But I kept the little boy until he died of old age.
Was the second foal an albino? it did look that way although still absolutely beautiful and their mother is a stunning Mare, quality she is and her first son as the same movement and look as his mother, although little Duet did not have the same good looks he wasn't going to be left behind and me thinks he'd be just as stunning a week or two later when he filled out a bit......Are there any more updates on these 3 horses at all?
Duet looks like a little ghost next to the other two. 😍
OmegaWolf747 I think he's a creamello (sorry if I got that wrong... He might just be a really light palomino)
I think once his baby coat sheds he may be a Cremello too
Ally Litz most likely is cremello ive always been obsessed with them cause most have blue eyes
Haley Darby-Miller I was lucky enough to have a big 16 h cremello gelding "Pookie"when I was in high school. Looks like everyone had a good day outside. Mom got a breath of fresh air and the kids were able to run and stretch their legs. Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. Hope they are still doing well.
Duet looks albino. She's so petite and dainty! Hope these loves grew big and beautiful, happy and healthy
Too cute.. How lucky for the little girl that she is being protected by her loving owners..

What a beautiful, healthy palomino mare with twins! I could tell right off one was a colt & the other a filly by the way each was acting! The colt surely has confidence & a beautiful gait!
little one is too adorable
Franziska Rygol yes👌🏻❤😍
Can you upload a video of them how they look now :) ?

i feel so sorry for the little one :( seems like they leave him behind :(
I know made me sad :(
Tacos Schermerhorn it's ok, she'll make sure he's with her! Sometimes she wants peace tho.
little one was probably just a little slower than big one so no worries :)
The little one is female

Love the video.
Duet is so adorable!
She had twins! Wow what a beauty!! The foals are gorgeous 😍 ✨️
That mare is literally gorgeous
It will be interesting to see if now that they are out in field if the little one's development catches up with her brother's.
It looks like the cremello foal is going to be abandoned the mom is only paying attention to the palomino one....
Makayla Jameson no, she won't abandon her! She just wants some peace but he big boy won t leave her be! She'll make sure the little girl eats.
Polopony20 oh okay! Sorry 😊

why wouldnt you have wanted twins?
Twins are super dangerous for horses! Often all 3 will die, so its safer to abort one twin and let the mare carry one baby to full term
Jenni Benson Did you get an updated video? I can't wait to see these guys all grown up!
Jenny, I have only just stumbled across your page. how perfect are your babies :) I found the video Of The colt doing loose jumping. I know I will be looking again in a few week for his sister.
