caste system is wrongly explained on that video. british interpreted caste system to their advantage for divide and rule . they made priests write books which divides based on caste . before british there was slave kingdom in india (1206-90) . former slaves became kings of india .that's one of many proofs there was no discrimination based on caste in india .
I am a Hindu brahmin with orthodox brahmin parents, I am practicing Advaita philosophy and visit Ramakrishna Ashram most of the time. I spend around 2 hours every day in meditation and spiritual practice. Let me tell you, In that time caste system was the worst phase many Indians had to gone through just like South Africans who gone through racism. Actually British were able to rule Indians because Indians were fighting against each other which was indirectly due to caste system.

Not true. We have Varna since mahabharat times and is mentioned in all ancient texts. DNA studies show we have not been intermarrying and we still dont. Varna used to be flexible but turned very conservative as Islam and Christianity came to India. People clung on to their identities harder out of threat. Kshatriyas also had to organize themselves for constant invasions. That's why Kshtriya castes are found more around the western frontier. It was a natural response to attacks by organised religions, since otherwise Hinduism is not an organised religion.

In Bhagavad Gita it's clearly mentions that nobody born with caste, the become what they chose to be, there is no mention of untouchability or discrimination. Due to some wrong perception a person ability was determined by their caste in indian society.But it was totally prohibited by our ancient script eg. in mahabharat karna was not allowed to learn archery as he was the son of a charioteer but later on he was allowed and then Krishna(GOD) taught to all the universe not to identify ones ability through caste. But now the caste system is active in a lesser scale in India.

Caste is the Portuguese word introduced by British during colonization period to divide and rule . Word caste is not mentioned in any of the hindu texts in fact the word varna is used which infact based on ones karma or merit based

There are actually many misconceptions and wrong assumptions and controversies about hinduism... Hinduism is a term which was coined by the British which described the various religious and cultural practices and concepts of hindus in India..they are indeed very complex and difficult to understand in depth..even for hindus themselves..most hindus are not aware of the reasons behind the complicated rituals..every scripture and society rule has been created by the Brahmin class since many centuries...
contrary to what is described in the Gita, it is not lord Krishna or God himself who created the caste or Varna system...it is the Brahmin theologians who created this system and placed their own group at the top...and they passed on the buck to Krishna who has been presented as supreme god in the Gita in order to gain legitimacy..the first official religion of the hindus is Vedism or Vedic system and it is centered around the four Vedas...which are supposed to have been revealed to indian sages during their meditation around four thousand years ago...it was mostly a ritualistic religion where sacrifices were being offered to the different deities who were the personification of natural forces such as sun, water, rain, wind among other deities...but often these sacrifices also involved animals...including cows...fortunately later such sacrifices were stopped and ingredients were being used instead... probably due to the ciriticism which the Buddhist reformers levelled against the Vedic priests...the idea of a universal god or supreme god was already present in Vedic times...it was in the form of a goddess... namely Devi and to whom the most famous mantra... Gayatri mantra was dedicated...it was the Vedic sage Vishwamitra which had composed this mantra... hindus have been worshipping this supreme goddess as Durga ma or Kali mata in her fierce form since the early centuries of the present era..
Modern day hinduism is a mixture of Vedic and non Vedic or ancient regional traditions... hindu religious traditions already existed in the Indus Valley civilization and other parts of India prior to Vedic religion at least five thousand years ago...such as the proto Shiva... whom the Vedic sages named as Rudra..

Most ancient texts have defined it in sanskrit as "abang manaso gocharam" and "nijabodharupam" which means beyond the domain of common mind or senses and realizable during meditation only.

2) Don't believe in God! - You're accepted as Nastik.

Actually the english translation of manusmriti popularly known as laws af manu represents manu as a person with wrong thinking but actuall the translation interpreted it in wrong way manu never said of stucking into a caste manu always refered to" by filling the criteria u can opt any of the caste on the basis of knowledge ,work and their power(bal)" it is mentioned in original version of manusmriti in sanskrit .in hinduism there is no caste never existed .the thing which is now known as caste is actually varn which is like houses in the school or a set of peoples named as brahmin, kshatriya, vaishya and shudra is made to indicating the group for following seperate sets of rules for the maintenance of dharma
Bharat /India and Sanatan Dharama, so called Hinduism dates back at least 50,000 years. Carbon dated by archeological diggings but very hard for so called "conventional", historians /archeologists to believe. As it doesn't fit on the "conventional" narrative of history.
PS: Cast system was not meant to lock people into place, but meant to be identification of the work people did. But unfortunately, during British rule, they used the cast system to their advantage, to divide and rule and lock people into place...
