Hippity Hopptity diese Kommentarsektion ist nun im Besitz der Österreichischen Republik
Feels so good watching this as an Austrian
Just use oida in every sentence, instantly best friends with everybody. Gute Analyse!
First question an american friend asked how visited me was: where are your poor people??? I told him those were at home. After a minute of silence, he asked me how you can call dem poor people if there be able to afford homes. And after i explained to him how our socialsystem works. He thought we were communist xP
Österreich is afoch super, gaunz simple
Reasons why I wouldn't wanna live in america:
1) I live in austria, no more reasons needed
Kristin here from Salzburg. After living a year in Florida, I will never leave my beloved Austria ever again😘
I'm from Austria and seeing this made my day! :) The truth is, a lot of people here don't appecriate what we have. They are spoiled. xD
Watching this video just made me realize again how spoiled we are in Austria. He really gets Austria, it's interesting to watch
Today, Corona Crisis: hell yeah I never would change my place of living in austria 🇦🇹 with the states
"Mohn" are poppy seeds
I’m not Austrian but do have the luck of being settled here. I’m happy and have no intention to leave. You just expressed my feelings. Thank you 🇦🇹
Yes, after three years and half over here, I can confirm that Austria is lovely and amazing. I adore to live here, to pay taxes here, to have money back for my continuous education here, to have friends here and - soon - to ask for an apartment here!
Even the bureaucracy is long but clear. And if you want to go back to university, the cost is absolutely ridiculous. Plus German is just so logic and beautiful, the way the Austrians pronounce it is musical, with so many little particularities...
I cannot wait to let my Canadian husband to have the permanent residency in Vienna to enjoy with me the incredible lifestyle of this Country.
Thank you very much!
It's good and important as Austrian inhabitant to hear, that "obvious" elements of our daily life are impressive and desireable for people from other countries.
You are very welcome to visit us again if you want. 😊
I am an Austrian living in Australia since over 20 years, and I thank you for your insights. You have definitely caught the real meaning of "Austrian". I am still struggling of making real friends, what we Austrians consider as something normal, is definitely impossible here in Australia, people are superficial in regard to friendships, impossible to really get close to them. Australians a very friendly, don't take me wrong here, but only on the surface, impossible to really get close to them, I am not the only migrant that has experienced this.
Mohnnudeln= noodles from potato dough with crashed poppy seed and icing sogar.
It's great to hear such nice Words about my Country from a stranger. Thank you! ☺
You've managed to translate the Austrian (especcially the Viennese!) lifestyle perfectly. Congratulations!
Greetings from Vienna.
I smiled throughout the whole video. That was a wonderful capture of the austrian spirit :)
This increased my national pride lol
Thanks for the nice compliments for our beautiful little nation.
Every person who doesn‘t live in Austria: They mean Australia, right?
I really appreciate the effort he makes pronouncing our language.
and btw "Mohn" is just poppy seeds.
and btw: really makes me proud hearing how much he appreciates our values.
I'm 4th generation American and My family tree is from Austria. The more I live the more I'm realizing my mind is more likely built to thrive there than here. I'm looking forward to visiting very soon, perhaps this summer in June/July. For any Austrians who are curious my surname is Troutt, or Trautt.
i love his enthusiasm - such a positivity - Nothing in life is taken for granted
15:00 ... There's a word for this: "entspannt" :)
this is ASMR to my ears
im from Villach and i find it amazing that you actually mention my hometown bc its soooo small
I am from Austria...and yes! most of your experiences are totaly truth! Thank you.
Love your "outsiders perspective", haha. Made me rethink what we have over here. Greets from Linz! 😁✌
As an Austrian living since 30 years in Germany , you put it very nicely , its so true 💕👍💪
This touched me, thank you for your kind words! You did capture the Austrian spirit very well. Of course there are always negative aspects to any country, but sometimes it is nice to just think about the beautiful things you have. Especially in times like these. Stay safe everybody, bleibt‘s daham! ❤️
As an Austrian this made my day 🇦🇹☺️💕
I want to go to Vienna, it looks amazing! Love from Mexico City ❤
It's "Wiener Schnitzel" if the meat comes from a calf, otherwise it's "Schnitzel Wiener Art from... cow, pig, chicken". If it is filled with ham and cheese it's cordon bleu - other ingredients would be listed as well.
isnt it funny that Austria was voted for one of the unfriendliest folks of all... again, meanwhile being one of the most livable countries ... again ....doesnt seem so wrong now does it :P!
Mohnnudeln are amade out of a potato dough covered with a mixture
of butter and poppy seeds
(The german word for poppy is Mohn) garnished with "Staubzucker" or grounded sugar
Austrian lifestyle in one person: Anton Horvath
Good video, everything was well descripted
Greetings from Steiermark ✌️
You're pronunciation of the German words is really good 👍 respect
Yes, fantastic is the correct word! I love Austria!
Da wirds einem warm ums Herz
yes, beer is important here. and i notice that when coming home from a business trip to Arizona or vacation in thailand. in those places the beer is like cold water with a strange taste. in austria it has a certain richness in taste similar to bavarian beer. that is home to me. beside that there is a lot of great wine too but not the designer wine with high volume output but more with individual characteristic that never gets boring.
It’s nice to watch that as an Austrian
That's it I'm moving to Austria!
Except of the "Trachten" recommendation for tourists (I wouldn't wanna dress up like a cowboy when I visit the USA), he completely nailed it. Cheers from Vienna!
We love living in Grinzing , life in Wien is so nice , we did made our mind up a long long time ago that we will retire here! And now we did !!
That’s such a cool video, I’m from Wels and I wish there would be more tourists🥺 Hope you liked it in Austria
I am from Upper Austria and this (attractive and intelligent ^^) young man described my beloved country exactly the way it is...! Vielen Dank und gut gemacht/guad gmocht! 💓🇦🇹😊
The Wiener Schnitzel is traditionally made with veal. The Wiener Schnitzel is a veal cutlet (veal legs) breaded with flour, then beaten egg and breadcrumbs. It is traditionally fried golden in lard and served with a wedge or half of a lemon. The Wiener Schnitzel is one of the most famous specialties of Viennese cuisine and is considered the favorite dish of the Austrian population.
"Wiener Schnitzel" made of pork is not called "Wiener Schnitzel" in Vienna, but "Schnitzel made the Viennese way."
Greetings from Bad Ischl upper austria
Hahahaha
The part about deep friendships:
It always irritates me when in US movies or tv shows, people seem to start to turn on each other so easily... that doesn't make any sense for me...
Greetings from Austria
2:20 Mohnnudeln. Poppy seed noodles are cooked yeast noodles that are pan-fried with butter after the cooking process and then served with butter, poppy seeds and powdered sugar.
Cheers from Wels !
I loved your story with the mothers day... lots of love and hugs to you and thank you for this interview meant a lot to me and MISS YOU ALL. IT LIGHTED UP OUR LIFE and warmed by all you love and joy.
"Mohn" is poppy seeds, by the way and we love to bake with it often :)
Greetings from Graz :)
I’m Austrian and I can fairly say “You got us man!” Thanks for those nice comments!
leiwander Typ. If this isn't scripted he totally got it :)
A typical "educated" American first asks: "who and where is Austria?"
i rally like living in austria i'm a motocycelist and a car guy right were i live ther are just awsome roads really nice corners up the mountains
7:12 "Tracht" is the specific garment in (especially) southern Germany/Austria, which reveals the origin of the wearer of the traditional costume.
Depending on the costume, one recognizes the origin of the wearer.
Traditional costume is the clothing of the indigenous people of Germany.
It's funny to watch that 😂🇦🇹🇦🇹🇦🇹❤️❤️😍😍😍I am from Austria 😜😂❤️🇦🇹
I love how fond this guy is of Austria. What he said is definitely true. But you have to take it with a grain of salt. We have lots of unfriendly people or even those who are hostile to strangers. Like any place where I went on this planet, I found there were many good but also quite a few bad apples to be found and it is the same here in Austria.
I like to make friends from Austria.
You have to come to the west side of Austria, if u want to see our Beautiful nature. We have cool skiing resorts as well as pretty views in the summer and many other things
here is a wiener kartoffelsalat made by a star-cook: 1kilo potatoes cooked. before peeling em and cutting, put 65 gramm shugar, 120gramm of oil and 1 tiny onion cutted in a bowl. then cut the potatoes in it. after that heat up 200mililiters of water, put in 30gramms brühe (soup) and pour it over. last: bright vinegar, 100mililiters. done. enjoy!
I like this Guy. He seems pretty nice. :)
I've been living in Austria for the last 3 years and I love it here.
Affordable healthcare. Shocking!
I had a big grinn an my face for the entire video, your pronounciation is just hillarious😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
A leberkassemmerl
actually you can't do "anything" with a wiener schnitzel. the cordon bleu is NO wiener schnitzel. the original and real wiener schnitzel is veal with bread fry and NOTHING else. no variation allowed!!! (i am from austria)
Thank you for the nice and respectful description. As an Austrian I think you've nailed many typical spots of our beeing and feeling.
At last one point about the difference between German and Austrian feeling:
For a German 2+2 ist 4. Point. No way for other solutions.
In Austria it's also 4, nur in some cases 2+2 can be 5 too, If the solution is ok for everybody and closes or ease the case in a human way
I love your passion for Austria.😃 See you next time in our country.😉
don't. don't look into the Trachten. seriously! just don't. it's so so bad when your not a native Austrian. also, the difference between Austria and Germany is more like the difference between Ireland and Britain. for better explaination I recommend Christoph Waltz describing the difference on Conan. ;-)
I had "Mohnnudeln" today XD
Wien, Wien, nur du allein! Oida.
I love what you say I am from Vienna I still have my sister living there.
Wow, that's quite an endorsement!
ha ha haha...Mohnnudeln....I am from Vienna and this guy say it like its something from an Alien Spaceship :)
Mohnnudeln...
Basically potatoe-dough dumblings with opiates
Best thing to eat if you ask me
And this made my day 😃
Thank you
Good morning from Sankt Pölten in Austria! 😀
A very positive description of my country. But some habits explained correctly.
Makes me feel good I am from vienna
😅I love my country 🇦🇹
Your observations is great. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
You have seen through the soul of the Austrian.
One thing I‘d like correct is: in Austria we pay more attention to politeness. Germans would greet or say goodbye to strangers saying „ Tschüss“ This applies in Austria if you know the person rather closely but hardly to strangers. An elderly guest in the restaurant or coffee house would address a young waitress or resized in a formal form‘, because it calls for etiquette.
Thanks for your excellent appraisals of the county’s mentality, nature, culture, standard of living, transportations.
St.Pölten - a great city if you want to be alone and chill in Austria
I sink wi can be praud of aua cauntry
wiener schnitzel has to be calf, otherwise its a ripoff especially if its pork
15:48 i had the sound running on my bluetooth speakers an siri popped up haha ...
Greetings from sankt Pölten ...i can give you the recepy for Mohnnudeln if you want it...
Jo krasses Video aber schnitzel is nit is gleiche wie hotdogs aba ja😂👍
Where are my Schnitzel's at??
Austria might be OK now but was a sad Place when most of us emigrated to a better Place.🇦🇹🇦🇺
beer is a big deal... yes it is haha ✌️... and you cannot really compare it to you american "beer" - no ofense ;)😎🍻🤘
