In the 1960's I bought a beaded strawberry coin purse that looks exactly like the one you showed today. It was new at the time. I used it as a coin purse in my evening bag. I was taught to carry a dime for a phone call, a tissue and a lipstick in a small evening purse when I went to dances or parties.
I needed a cold shower after this episode! I would love to stitch the Laura Duet circa 1962 sampler. It is so beautiful. I always counted your early designer parade episodes among my favorites.

Just wanted you to know……before Christmas I received my first total framing order. Well….it took forever! But…..it was well worth the wait. They made my stitching look so good that at first I thought it wasn’t mine. Have already sent them more cross stitch to frame. They told me it might be awhile as they are backed up. Told them it is definitely worth the wait. Thanks for recommending them. They just love you two at Total Framing!
Total Framing is THE BEST! I need to get some stuff out to them this week. I (Laura) have had stuff to send to them for 2 years and I have not done it. I am weirdo. So happy that you had a good experience Kim!!!!!!

Ooh boy that was fun! I don’t have any HATS charts (yet) but I hope to change that very soon - thanks for the enabling! Laura - you need to stock up on ALL the DMC! I got “lucky” a few years ago when a local craft store was going out of business and all their DMC was 10 cents a skein! The hubs authorized a purchase of every single color!!! When I got back into cross stitch two years ago I only needed to stock up on the newer colors. So now I’m a bit OCD, but I have all the colors listed in a spreadsheet and I note which I’ve pulled for a project- then I know right where to go if I need that color for a different project (and I put them back with the original project when I’m done). It might seem like a lot of work, but pulling colors for a new project is my very favorite thing to do! If I’m getting low on a color, I make a note in my phone and next time I’m at Hobby Lobby or Joann’s I restock. Have a wonderful couple of weeks!

Saphire Mountain Crafts. while visiting today.... you are suppossed to listen to the book while you stitch... I have tried many times I just can't stitch and listen to a book... I don't usually comment, because I watch it on my tv but just wanted to help you get this mission going!!! It is so hard to choose what lovely to work on, almost overwhelming at times. I am in the Esther Blackwood SAL and have a small start on her. Almost half done with Ann Morison. I finished Only One Rose for my hubby for our 31st anniversary last year too. I have been so lucky to have met both of you twice and hope our paths cross again. Going to a small get together with about 20 other gals next week. We are going to a B&B and just stitching our hearts out for a few days. Always so much fun to share our love of needlework. You are both looking so good. Hugs.

You ladies sure are bad for the pocketbook! Just ordered my first HATS...Mary Snow...doubt I will get around to stitching her this year since I already have my long list of charts I already have kitted to start this year. It is so hard to decide what to stitch first...I get something kitted up, and then I change my mind! Work sure gets in the way of our stitching time. I turned 65 last year...so in Oct. I semi-retired so I hope to get a few extra hours of stitching in this year. Happy Early Birthday Brenda!

I finally found my stitching mojo again, stitching the MFE SAL 2022, just my speed right now. Got my thread from Evertote for Elizabeth Eyles, just having a hard time with a choice for linen. Going to either start Rosa or the Pear for my birthday this Wednesday. My husband gets to ring the bell Thursday but then he is having a major surgery in February but we are thankful we have good doctors who help us navigate through all this. Hope you are both doing well!

Ooh boy that was fun! I don’t have any HATS charts (yet) but I hope to change that very soon - thanks for the enabling! Laura - you need to stock up on ALL the DMC! I got “lucky” a few years ago when a local craft store was going out of business and all their DMC was 10 cents a skein! The hubs authorized a purchase of every single color!!! When I got back into cross stitch two years ago I only needed to stock up on the newer colors. So now I’m a bit OCD, but I have all the colors listed in a spreadsheet and I note which I’ve pulled for a project- then I know right where to go if I need that color for a different project (and I put them back with the original project when I’m done). It might seem like a lot of work, but pulling colors for a new project is my very favorite thing to do! If I’m getting low on a color, I make a note in my phone and next time I’m at Hobby Lobby or Joann’s I restock. Have a wonderful couple of weeks!

My first one in Book of days.. Jane Marshall 1837... Stitched oan coffee /tea dyed 28 count Laguna I dyed it meself.... I am stitching oan Pride and Prejudice by Kristen Ashley... Saphire Mountain Crafts. while visiting today.... you are suppossed to listen to the book while you stitch... I have tried many times I just can't stitch and listen to a book... I like a book in my hand when reading... Hubby has bought from a few shops today. trying to get the floss for some Samplers.... My birthday is this month too... Happy Birthday Brenda.. I don't usually comment, because I watch it on my tv but just wanted to help you get this mission going!!! It is so hard to choose what lovely to work on, almost overwhelming at times. I am in the Esther Blackwood SAL and have a small start on her. Almost half done with Ann Morison. I finished Only One Rose for my hubby for our 31st anniversary last year too. I have been so lucky to have met both of you twice and hope our paths cross again. Going to a small get together with about 20 other gals next week. We are going to a B&B and just stitching our hearts out for a few days. Always so much fun to share our love of needlework. You are both looking so good. Hugs.

Just ordered my first HATS...Mary Snow...doubt I will get around to stitching her this year since I already have my long list of charts I already have kitted to start this year. It is so hard to decide what to stitch first...I get something kitted up, and then I change my mind! Work sure gets in the way of our stitching time. I turned 65 last year...so in Oct. I semi-retired so I hope to get a few extra hours of stitching in this year. Happy Early Birthday Brenda!

What a beautiful sampler for Laura! It’s amazing. Oh and your HATS parade was awesome. You will love Elizabeth Atkinson and Sarah Spencer and Alice and oh so many great charts. I finally found my stitching mojo again, stitching the MFE SAL 2022, just my speed right now. Got my thread from Evertote for Elizabeth Eyles, just having a hard time with a choice for linen. Going to either start Rosa or the Pear for my birthday this Wednesday. My husband gets to ring the bell Thursday but then he is having a major surgery in February but we are thankful we have good doctors who help us navigate through all this. Hope you are both doing well!
