Colin Meads was sent off against Scotland for nearly taking the Scottish scrum half head off with his boot. The ref Kevin Kellegher NEVER reffed another international game. Why?
Alan Quinlan talks about "player behavior has to change". Well possibly the laws of the game should be changed to promote tackling low, rather than tacklers needing to wrap the ball up. For example, no more offloads from a player who's off their feet (back to the old days), and even reversing the maul law back to the team going forward being awarded possession. Instead of simple punishment, why not address why tackles are required to be higher today than 30 years ago
No, 20 minute red card was not "right across the board" in the southern hemisphere. The ref could still give a full red card for punching or striking a player and the Drua got full red cards for doing just that. The way they are trialing the 20 min and full red cards for these internationals is how they have been using them in the Southern Hemisphere.
Wow, mate, even for you that's a stretch. The All Blacks are currently their own worst enemy; side with the worst discipline at the RWC, most penalties conceded and equal top cards received in the RC. If they continue to play like that and other teams continue to beat them then that's on them.
Player safety is important no doubt but we need to also look after the game as a spectacle. 14 vs 15 for a tackle that's purely accidental does the game no favours. I dont believe players will try and exploit the 20 minute red card rule by deliberately trying to injure an opposing player, and if that is the case then a ban should be imposed on such a player, surely if they could ban rassie for a year over a video then they can also ban a player for maliciously injuring another player.
Over 480 games with a red card, only 60% of them were lost by the team that lost a player. Ireland and South Africa have shown player tackle technique can be changed. A NZ team full of woman beaters choosing not to change should be punished
So you upset that ab lost... what about all the losses sa faced when they were undisciplined? No law changes then? What us accidental and what is intentionally? Was the bongi injury intentional? A lot think so...
I wish Quinlan would stop interrupting and let someone else speak.
He always does that

Henshaw’s jaw was broken by that tackle!

Everyone wants red cards for the whole game because its the only way they can beat NZ and they think NZ will get cards forever 😂

So Matt Williams what do you have to say about the ungamesmanship of Borthwicks 6/2 split. You must be feeling a right w ⚓️ right about now!!!!!
Matt Williams blah blah blah.
I don't like it. I could manipulate this rule as a coach. Think Harlequins blood gate or the hand of Neil Back. Give an inch, they will take a mile.
