Dr. Scionti, I have a localized tumor in the transition zone (Gleason 3+4 in only two cores out of 4 taken directly from the lesion in a MRI guided biopsy. Other 14 cores from the rest of the gland negative). I'm really considering focal treatment and TULSA sounds interesting. The fact that the lesion is in the transition zone makes it a better candidate for TULSA over HIFU? Isn't HIFU, overall, a more consolidated technology? I mean, being the patient and only interested in the outcome (and not the future possibilities of the TULSA Procedure), what I should consider to choose between the two treatments?
