Just started playing recently and I have gotten addicted to the East Vineland NJ map. Love how you start off owning all the production points and have the ability to purchase the animal pens next to the farm. The terrain looks amazing and gives you a real life feel. Definitely enjoy Griffin IN and Frankenmuth being a Indiana/Michigan guy. Really hope the eastern NC map comes out as it looked like it was in the exact area I used to live in.

I remember when I 1st started playing FS22 almost 6mths ago, I was super upset that there wasn't an Iowa map, didn't take long for them to release Iowa plains view though after I started, I instantly downloaded it and have enjoyed this map immensely to date its my favorite by far, I recently downloaded the Welker Farms map and wow that's a whole different beast but absolutely enjoy the size of fields, takes damn near a month in game to prepare any field for sowing lol, but once that is done and you get your first harvest finished you're a millionaire damn near so then it's off to upgrading to some of the biggest and most expensive equipment in game lol... Really enjoy your content and it seems we are of similar minds in our preferences to mods and maps for this game I rarely if ever find myself questioning your judgement hahaha...
Totally agree with maps on this list and Iowa Plain View is the number one American map for me too. My top five is: First is Iowa Plains View. Enough can't be said about this map and the level of detail and realism this map has. It is the first map I've played both US and EU where I could say it actually felt fully immersive and like this was a real place. The level of detail on the map on things like the terrain for example is second to none. Then you add in all the enhancements coming in the update and, well it is an obvious number one. Second is Griffin, IN. This map feels really overplayed at times on YT but yet it still feels really fun to watch and play which is an achievement that few maps can claim and why I think it deserves to be ranked so high. Also it feels very real when you play it. Third is Piney Run. This review covers it so well. A lot of extra work on the productions and all those extra fill types and customizations make you go wow. Fourth is Frankenmuth. I love the simplicity of the map and that you can literally just pick it up an play, but it has a lot of somewhat hidden depth or little surprises that you notice as you are playing through it. Fifth would be Stone Velley which could be much higher on my ranking, except for one important thing. It feels like the map was never finished. There are a lot of areas on the map where you can see the vision the map maker had for it and it is an awesome vision, but the vision was never fully realized on the map and some things are just not fully done. That said the map maker did an amazing job and I am thankful for his work on it.
My favorite American maps so far since I seen this video are,#1:the new Texas map, 2:Iowa Plains, #3:Griffin, Indiana, #4: Stone Valley, #5: Piney Run. All Maps my Top 2 are, Texas #1 and then Monette Farms #2

Lone oak, Griffin Indiana, Bucks County PA, Feankenmuth, and Goldcrest valley. Are my top 5. Hope Lone Oak and Bucks County make a return. Along with Lone Oak peaceables.
I'm a huge fan of Frankenmuth, MI and the story/history of the Weiss Centennial Farm (upon which the map is based), dating back to the mid-1800s. The maker did a fantastic job of utilizing the real location and making changes to incorporate sell points and the forestry option. Plus there are the two racing tracks in the woods. The ditches alongside the roads are just waiting to swallow the vehicles of distracted drivers. The only thing missing is the corn maze, but that could be added by the player. The field sizes are terrific in that you have options but don't need to get the biggest equipment in the store (ala County Line on FS19 or Deer Creek with the 100+ acre fields). The one issue is there are some fields where there is not enough space between them (and that IS realistic, just look at Google maps' satellite view and you'll be hard-pressed to find where field 12 ends and field 13 begins), but it complicates things for Courseplay. It's an easy fix but something that could have been corrected. I'm also a big fan of the realistic nature of the Graystone Farms, NC map. This area is just south of the Virginia / NC border and was narrowly missed by a tornado this past Spring. The fields are modeled pretty accurately to the real world, and if you like small-field farming (going from job-to-job-to-job and staying busy) with small equipment it's a great map for that. The drawbacks are similar to Frankenmuth with several fields running together in CP, but it is correctable. The other issue is fields up against the edge of the map - where it looks like you're going to fall off the world. It can be tricky to take contracts on some of those fields because you may not be able to physically complete it with the invisible map boundary. The use of the Methodist Church as the shop and main sell point is creative, but I found that placing sell points at the ends of the three main roads to represent towns off the map (Eden and Reidsville, NC, and Danville, VA) provided more options. I'll have to check on Griffin, IN and Iowa Plains. I haven't quite hammered the real-world location of Griffin's map down yet. But I really like it when map makers use real places and are able to make minimal changes if only just to facilitate sell points, etc. The big issue I have with Stone Valley is the water. Water doesn't flow uphill or across hills. And though the number of drainage ditches and low areas may be realistic, they weren't modeled well on the map, simply because the water would flow out across the fields and take the shortest course to the low points. Otherwise it's a beautiful map... Well... except for the creepy people walking around the gas station and houses. Very sketchy area. Enjoyed the review. Might have to do one of these some time after I've explored more of the real maps these modders have made. 🙂

I'm playing it right now but I have issue with the Farmers Market, I have 2 contracts and I have delivered the wheat there, but it doesnt count for the contract. I lost the wheat and I'm stuck with the contracts at 80%. If you know what the issue is or where to take the wheat instead. Or if anyone knows, please let me know. Thank you.

I had this issue on a couple of maps but it was related to grass contracts and the fact that I didn't pay attention to it needing to be dried and baled... So that was on me. I just sold what I had and cancelled the contract and moved on. As far as your situation goes, I'm not sure what to tell you. If you have specifically fulfilled the terms of the contract that is one thing. But I think it is possible with multiple contracts going at the same time the game can lose track of where the (product) is coming from and thus applies it to one field's contract when you harvested it from another field. On PC there you can see the contract % going up until it is fulfilled, then your cash $ will go up as you sell the excess. I'm sorry if this isn't helpful but I didn't realize until I saw your note that this thread was about console and not the PC version of the game. Hopefully it helps but otherwise just cancel the contract and move on, or report a bug. The most profitable way I have found is to buy the field, harvest it, sell all the fruit for your profit, then sell the field so you don't incur the cost of planting it again. 🤔😊 Best wishes and Happy New Year!

My favorites are the Michigan and Iowa Plains. I would love to see some Tennessee Valley Maps or at least a map..lol, for the PS4.! PC has a map called The Holler, so that's cool. A lot of corn harvesting comes out of Tennessee. Much of it for the JD Distillery and others...🥃😉
Yes! Lots of corn and dairy farms still here. In the western part of the state there are cotton farms. There used to be tons of tobacco farms here in East Tennessee when I was growing up in the 80's and 90's. Best wishes to you! Maybe someday we'll see a Tennessee map.
Want a single farm to yourself? Fox farms is the way to go if you like large scale with little to no buildings when in farm manager. I wish I could say the same when this map came on fs19 but dhal ranch was my go to map in fs19, wish that map was duplicated for fs22 tho.
also my favorite everything is great on it except sell points are wonky the gas station one i have only gotten to work once and the 3 others i have used are super tight for getting a semi and grain trailer in and out of

@Spiro Kokkinos my biggest problem was doing contract jobs and failing them on that map.... couldn't get sell points to work for some reason they were always short on harvest amount so I had to buy some and give it away but that could be a mod issue not the map itself

So far, Griffin IN is more go to...other then the Goldcrest Valley map. I like the sound of that Iowa map but for some reason, I don't remember seeing it in the modhub. I must have over looked it. On PS4 BTW. My favorite types of maps, other then being U.S. based, are maps that have a good mixture of big and small fields, have building that can be deleted ' same with fences and any other yard clutter ' but also has a decent town in it.. Idk but I just enjoy maps that have a town or city in them...just makes them look more lived in or something...idk.
Surprised you didn't have new Vineland, New Jersey map. It's one of my favorites. Able to purchase the homes and sell them to put production or selling points is a huge bonus

The fact that you put frankenmuth on this list is astounding. It’s such a shitty map. And the only reason for that is the ditches. It makes hiring AI workers impossible and it gets your heavy equipment stuck almost every 5 mins. Further than that, there’s a random house placed in your starter field and you have to work around it? AND the trees are literally 3 feet from your fuckin farm edge so you have to struggle just to seed. Ridiculous.

Been disappointed with the mod maps this time around. Way too many unfinished/boring or small maps. On PC I prefer 4X or bigger. Right now I am enjoying Oberthal because the American map offerings are not cutting it.

You can most tell how good a map is by the file size. @100-200mb is dead simple generic style with nothing special. The best maps are @500-1gb.

The fact that you put frankenmuth on this list is astounding. It’s such a shitty map. And the only reason for that is the ditches. It makes hiring AI workers impossible and it gets your heavy equipment stuck almost every 5 mins. Further than that, there’s a random house placed in your starter field and you have to work around it? AND the trees are literally 3 feet from your fuckin farm edge so you have to struggle just to seed. Ridiculous.

My guess is it is probably the Big Flatts Texas map.

Been disappointed with the mod maps this time around. Way too many unfinished/boring or small maps. On PC I prefer 4X or bigger. Right now I am enjoying Oberthal because the American map offerings are not cutting it.
