This is the best year for Mario RPG fans
We start with the iconic "red shell, green shell" again and I am so happy about it!
Yeah I disagree with people saying it’s not the same. This is on par with Superstar Saga’s brass with a bit of BiS accordions and obviously its own flair.
Don’t know if Yoko Shimomura will be doing the soundtrack but it would be a mistake not to, this series is the other half of why people love her work so much (the other being Kingdom Hearts.)
Also can we talk about how dang expressive these two are now? I mean they always were but part of what makes Bros Attacks fun is seeing their synergy, their silly dance to the beat of the music... It’s all here in full force and it’s great because as we all know, it’s really hard to translate that from 2D to 3D and they nailed it
the squash and streatch gives everything so much oomf, especially the hammer combo attacks

This is not Yoko. Nothing about this sounds like anything she would make. She was probably replaced with a different composer contracted by ILCA.
They're the most goofy they've ever been in the whole Mario franchise and I LOVE IT!!
Its crazy how this is the battle theme. Make you wonder what the actual boss theme will sound like.
Now imagine the final boss… oh god.
I have a feeling it'll sound very electronic, because the main enemies are outlets & adapters, etc.
I personally hope Bowser doesn't worm his way into being the final boss again in a way lol

Ngl I thought this was going to be the boss theme. But it’s actually the regular battle theme! Now I’m excited to hear what the actual boss theme will sound like!

The battle animation looks visually stunning. This might be the best Mario RPG to date. My favorite so far is Mario Sparks of Hope as far as battle mechanics.

every time the music gradually gets more bombastic, i still get teary eyed. i love these rpgs so much and the fact that it is back from the dead brings me so much joy. Nintendo truly got me with this one as someone who stopped caring much for the switch era.

This feels odd to be just the main battle theme. Could it be that different battle themes play depending on which island you’re on? I mean think about it, they did it for Paper Mario TTYD when it wasn’t like that for the original game right?
I absolutely love this battle theme. I definitely like the more serious tone in comparison to most of the previous ones.
So far I rank it behind Mixed-Up Scramble, Try, Try Again and Oki-Doki but above the others.

Sounds like a Pokemon-esque Rival battle theme. It is serviceable, but I will miss the more melodic and dramatic themes from Shimomura.

Huh. I just realized, Mario has a completely different version of his team hammer attack than Luigi. They both team up and do a spin, but mario sends luigi spinning horizontally while luigi causes mario to do a series of flips. I wonder if the jump attacks are different too, either way that's crazy attention to detail
@@squiddler7731 they are! If you watched the Nintendo direct version of the brothership trailer, it shows Luigi’s jump attack after the trailer.

Did Yoko Shimomura made this? it doesn't sounds like she made it. I don't think it's bad though, it just lacks of strong melody/emotions to me and sounds more like a generic "happy" "party" battle theme. I like the use accordions!

Yoko is busy with Kingdom Hearts 4. There's just no way she would be on this so it's a bit disappointing. This song is okay but nothing compared to her work.
I will say that this theme fits the cartoon aesthetic much better than the previous themes.

To be honest this is now my new favorite battle theme but Never let up is still my favorite boss theme

I actually like this battle theme (accordion goes hard). It's going for a different style compared to past games which I can respect since Brothership looks like a soft reboot to M & L.

Maybe it's because the other games have been out for so long without a new game in the series, but I just don't see this one being as good. It just doesn't hit the same way the others do to be honest, so i hope the rest of the soundtrack makes up for it

I don't think Yoko Shimomura is behind this. Personally speaking, I think this battle theme lacks a memorable catchy melody like the rest of the battle themes from Mario & Luigi series. It's still a decent theme but for a battle one this theme was utterly disappointing for myself.

Excited for this game, but this music is kind of a nothing burger I gotta say. Sorry, it just really lacks a tune especially compared to the memorable music from previous Mario & Luigi titles. Here's hoping there's better music then this.
