Hi I am just getting started in trains and would like to know where does a person go to buy a locomotive so that they can build on it such as you are doing in the video.
Hi! Those are 5mm (13/64″) grids on the paper :) Thanks for the comments, I will try to upload more often but unfortunately RL does not allow me too much modelling at the moment.
Thanks for the video. I'm interested in starting my first On30 narrow gague layout butthe small locos prices are more money than I am willing to spend. Building my own like you did intreagues me. Where did you come up with the engin/wheels? I'd love to know. Thanks!
The engine was an old HO scale engine that I bought from eBay and took off the chassis :) But I'm planning of making my own power boogie too, I already have the parts (motor, cogwheels, etc.), just need the time for it. Right now I'm into learning to build different types of trees, the next video will also be of that one.

Are those 1/4 inch squares on your graph paper ? Very inspirational. Thank you !!

Very handsome build. Having a couple of motors laying around I may attempt something.
Thanks. I will build more locos soon
I just started a on30 layout, but I'm having a hard time finding stuff, guess I'll be scratch building also!
It is much more satisfying to design and build than to buy it, at least for me :-)
Rough and ready but nice.
Cleanly built locos do not look right.
Thanks :)
