    Been watching you for a long time, and to be honest your videos are what inspired me to get off my butt and get back into sign work. my dad owned a sign shop growing up, so I had this entire skillset just sitting there going unused. My next move is a heat press and a large format printer for doing full color heat transfer shirts. keep it up man good luck and I'm happy for all your success!

    OMGoodness, I love your honesty.
    I was making signs, truck lettering and wraps to window film and frost.
    One day doing a sign 25' up I fell and broke my back and quite a few other bones.
    Now on disability I'm so scared and even insecure to start up again.
    Man, I get strength just watching you. My confidence even perks up listening to you.
    I subscribed Ermano and will check often to see how you WILL succeed each video you post.
    Thank you so much.

    Bro I just stumbled upon you last night and you are awesome man your whole attitude everything. I'm at the very beginning stages of screen printing. I own a successful construction company and I started making my own shirts and fell in love with screen printing. Then I bought a heat press and started cutting vinyl with a vinyl cutter and now I've been using the flashiest stand out vinyl around and I can't walk into a store without 20 people saying your coat is awesome you are shirt is awesome who made it. So I decided I'm unique and as far as I'm concerned I could make better shit than whats being produced in my area. So I started the struggle from scratch I'm making my own screens out of wood and fabric from the craft store they work great I'm rinsing out my screens in my tub like you and all the other shit. I just wanted to say you inspire me to keep moving forward with it even when I doubt things.

    Bro you're under valuing your product. I do custom leather work and I'm cheaper then most everywhere else but I don't give it away either. Most shirt sale for $30 I think you should be $15-20. That way people are getting a great deal and you're keeping profit up. Keep in mind when you figure a price that some of the money has to buy more material. Each shirt actually cost you double in materials plus whatever you want to pay yourself in hourly labor. Keep up the great work and the great videos

      Thanks Joshua for your feedback but we all have to start somewhere. Now I'm charging $25 per shirt.

  • @muribe85
    @muribe85 6 років тому +1

    7 dollars for a custom screen printed shirt is a steal! We charge more than that for the print and set up cost, and we don't do runs below 50 pcs. 7 dollars is about what we charge for the shirt before the printing. And it would normally be more than double that including the print. Regardless of the print type (we do decals, plastisol transfer and screen printing). Is the competition really this high in the US that you have to do it for 7 USD?

    Reyes! I love your videos, I am doing about the same thing, I just have a Silhouette Cameo, a heat press, and vinyl. I want a DTG machine but need to wait. My only question is do you make designs and post them for orders or do you get customers email you what they want? I keep getting people sending me other peoples mock up shirts and I don't know how to tell them how to send their ideas.

    • @ReyesTheEntrepreneur
      @ReyesTheEntrepreneur  7 років тому +3

      its called vinyl master cut but it came with the cutter. the transparency is i cut a decal, put in on the back side of the glas and thats it.

    What’s up bro! I know you are way past this video now and way further in what you want to do, but just thought I should ask the question here, I’m running into the same issue you had with your raiders logo in the beginning where the ink went on the shirt partially, where some of the image looked good and some of it was scattered or missing, how did you fix it? Thanks for all your videos !

    sup bro...love your hustle. I noticed your using a heat press as ur final cure. I think we are using the same one from powerheatpress. I can't seem to dial it in. I'm pressing for about 60 sec at 355. twice. but when I put the heat thermometer on it...keeps showing low 300s temp. any advice would b great....thanks 👍

      I've done one wash and it was coo, but I just felt I was pressing for too long. thanks for the advice. I'll try shorter times with future cures. keep the videos coming. love the tips and ur sense of humor. 👍

    Hey so I think I have the same screenprinter as you, I’m having a problem with the arm moving around between the two bearings that are supposed to keep it in place. Do you have the same issue? If so, how’d you fix it?

    • @ReyesTheEntrepreneur
      @ReyesTheEntrepreneur  6 років тому +1

      This machine has a lot of those little problems that you'll have to face when you reach them but they all have solutions, you just have to improvise. What I did on all my arms is wrap tape around them. I wrapped until they became thick enough that it would go down and not move between the bearings. Does this help?

    hey reyes....quick.question....what ink brand do u use for screen printing? where do u get it from????.......do u recommend speedball ink???

    • @ReyesTheEntrepreneur
      @ReyesTheEntrepreneur  6 років тому

      Brandt Lopez i use plastisold wilflex from screenprinting.com but they are pricey. I've been trying to find another supplier but haven't had much success. And speedball is great if you're beginning

    • @brandtlopez4987
      @brandtlopez4987 6 років тому +1

      Reyes The Entrepreneur thanks. now do u recommened plastiol inks instead of water based inks for screen printing? whats the difference? does both equally last as long as the shirt does?

    • @ReyesTheEntrepreneur
      @ReyesTheEntrepreneur  6 років тому

      Brandt Lopez plastisol last longer but you need a dryer or heat press (i use a heat press to cure it). Water base fades quicker but it's cheaper and you dont need to dry it for it to cure. Of course im not an expert. This is what I understand it to be

    • @brandtlopez4987
      @brandtlopez4987 6 років тому +1

      Reyes The Entrepreneur ok cool. i have a heat press too, but how woyld u cure it with it? do u just let it air dry and the press it with a teflon sheet over it?

    • @ReyesTheEntrepreneur
      @ReyesTheEntrepreneur  6 років тому

      Brandt Lopez i dry it with a heat gun and then i cure it with the heat press

      @@SpikegamingThepro Negative. Everything uses spot colors. Designs are created in Adobe Photoshop then manually separated for spot color printing (except for vector designs that aren't photo-realistic). There's a tutorial video on our channel showing how one of the designs was separated:
