1977년 뉴욕 맨해튼. 당시 시대의 스타일 아이콘들의 관능적인 화려함, 고정적 관념에 대한 일탈로 예술적 영감을 준 전설의 디스코 클럽 'Studio 54'. 'Studio 54'의 크루들이 자유와 일탈, 예술을 갈망하며 떠난 이탈리아 럭셔리 휴가지인 포르토피노에서의 Day & Night를 현시대적으로 재해석한 컬렉션입니다.
1992년 이탈리아에서 시작한 메트로시티는 1997년 서울에 론칭, 2009년부터 한국에서는 유일하게 매 시즌 패션쇼를 통해 하우스 컬렉션을 선보이고 있습니다. 2015S/S 서울패션위크에서 국내 최초로 할리우드 셀럽 제시카 알바가 방문했으며, 바바라 팔빈, 로지 헌팅턴 휘틀리, 케이트 모스 등이 참여해 매 시즌 최다 방문객을 기록, 글로벌 브랜드의 완성도 높은 컬렉션으로 해마다 화제가 되고 있습니다.
2024 S/S METROCITY Fashion Show & Party [Dear Studio54]
1977 New York Manhattan, 'Studio 54' was a legendary disco club that expresses the sensual charm of the style icons of the era and unprejudicedly gives artistic inspiration. This is a collection that presents a contemporary reinterpretation of the Day & Night in Portofino, an Italian luxury vacation spot where the crew of 'Studio 54' departed in search of freedom, rebellion, and art.
Founded in 1992 in Italy, Metrocity launched in Seoul in 1997. Since 2009, it has been the sole brand in Korea to showcase its collections through fashion shows every season. During the 2015 S/S Seoul Fashion Week, Jessica Alba, the first Hollywood celebrity to do so in South Korea, made an appearance. Following her, celebrities like Barbara Palvin, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Kate Moss also participated. The brand consistently set records for the highest number of attendees each season, and its collections, known for their high level of craftsmanship, have become a global sensation, making headlines every season.
