Paint the foam white with latex paint and follow that up with a white pearl paint. Before mounting the skin it's a perfect colour match to the white pearl layer that is usually scraped off the inside of the fish skin.

How do you honor the fish as you separate its vessel into pieces?

Do you leave borax on the fish mounted while its drying cause I did that with my pike and now its impossible to get off
