Question for you on this really fine Channel: A couple of my favorite "last guests," which were hilarious spots, but never see any of them on here or elsewhere: Stan Kann--demonstrated many working & non-working gadgets Dr. Lenden Smith--baby Doctor Thalassa Caruso--taught Johnny how to plant and grow plants Robert Easton--Dialect Coach for the stars Leonard Barr--Dean Martin's Uncle, who was a stand-up, old-time Comic. If you have any of these, please try and upload. Thank you!
For those who who may not know but are interested, Buck Henry's show "Quark" was a clever little sci-fi parody that NBC stuck on Friday night (you'd think they'd learn). It didn't even last a half season.
But that’s what made Carson special. His authentic reactions to blowing a joke were priceless. Sadly, overly scripted shows of today make them so stale and boring
The best version of MacArthur Park that Richard Harris ever performed was when he appeared live on Mel's Rock Pile with Rockin' Mel Slirrup, and he was doing the hitch-hike dance move, and got so sweaty he needed a big towel, but somebody threw a brick at him. A-ha Ah ha Ah ha.
@@johnking5174 He acts like he is an aggrieved customer who has been cheated out of his hard-earned money. Who wouldn't want The Tonight Show for free, and twice at that!
Richard Harris, Fantastic Actor, One of the best ever
The Jim Webb song "McArthur Park" hit #2 for Richard Harris. Then later #1 for Donna Summer.

No one was funnier when they bombed than Johnny. And Ed showed how important he was to the success of this show as he saved Johnny 3 different times.
That is very true - he was the absolute best at turning the tide - making lemonaide out of lemons.
yeah, this is some WEAK writing. Doesn't matter for Johnny though. Smooth as silk.
Full respect about refusing to be knighted
He refused to be knighted by the Queen!
Omg
Well everyone has their own beliefs and rights about
protocol
Like I’ve got my own belief’s about the Business

It looks like they aren't going to answer you. 😖
The only one I heard of is Barr. He came to Hollywood as a dancer. I couldn't imagine that until I saw him dance - surprisingly light on his feet

Quark was a series, not a movie? Never heard of it until now.
Wow, that monologue was brutal. Johnny at 5:44 pitched it so perfect. That monologue went down the crapper fast.

1977 - the WIDE tie era!
The end of the 20th century kicks the ass of both the start of the 20th AND 21st centuries! Where have we ended up?
This video is also stretched from 4:3
Johnny B. Great!!!)))
They should have left the old commercials in.
LOVE RIchard Harris!
I love it that she (Mr. Harris' Wife) is sitting in a very unlady like position, and it's killing me, cuz I'm dying laughing about it.🤣😆
Items good thing she’s wearing coulottes/knee britches. Not very ladylike, I agree.
@@janeceeastwood8035 "Items"? And you're right, she's like a boy!
Yeah, wonder why she's sitting like that. Seems odd. Richard Harris is EVERYTHING!!!! My favorite, nobody comes close. Dream cream. ❤
They tried to cut out the line, "OJ is gonna kill you."...............This was a crazy episode.
I noticed that too, it's just childish to try and rewrite history!
Do you have the show from Oct 1 1970?
At 6:35 I wonder how many people would like to see Jimmy Fallon do this now on that version of the Tonight Show?

Makes me wonder if this interview is what got Buck on SNL.
Sorry but, Richard Harris is too Weird. And OMG, I just found out that he is IRISH TOO just like me.
Richard Harris is fantastic!!!❤❤❤❤
Harris seems like a big-mouth idiot to me
harris a bit insecure with the loud canned laughter. also stealing some of horowtiz's time.
i like that your putting up jonny but i dont want to watch it twice in a row. cut them into individual episdes if possible please
It is designed to try and fool UA-cam copyright. When they upload a longer video, it generally allows the video to remain up

Yeah as Johnny likes to say "you can't complain at a free show!"
@@matthewreynolds2384 He did anyway. lol.

Harris came across as an insecure little boy.
