Followed this in its entirety on Instagram but this is a whole different experience. It’s crazy how much content you captured solo while still putting in record setting efforts day after day.
@@The_Normalised_Cyclistthe NP would be in VCs Strava upload for each ride, but surprised he’s not including in the daily stats summary in theses vlogs.
I’m amazed you can make a coherent video series like this by yourself and still do 200 a day. The ride alone is hard but this makes it astronomically more difficult.
Dudde you are a f--king superhero. I don't mean just for your inspiring adventure rides either. The commentary at 21:00 on not projecting your anger onto your wife; that it's, "fine to feel that way, but not to project it or vocalize it," is mint. People pay massive dollars to therapists to learn that. Most people, especially guys, will never go to a therapist.. You sharing that wisdom in the middle of intense effort, exhaustion, pushing yourself to the limit, is an exceptional gift. Thank you for being who you are and doing what you do.
Skillet+sleeping equipment may slow me down a bit, but homemade curry at the end of each day is worth it! Gaps between towns up here in Canada are also much bigger, and stuff can close without warning so it’s good to be prepared. I am okay with doing 100km a day and smelling the roses along the way. On the other hand, you are absolutely crushing it, and I can’t wait to follow the rest of this epic effort!
The Return of the King! Been playing catch up on this series, want to watch when the time is right and on the big screen for full impact, but I followed this epic on your daily IG posts, fantastic achievement to put out the content while crushing these monster rides day after day, and also a one man series of films to capture on YT! Amazing storyteller and filmmaker, not too shabby on the bike either! Burrito powered genius ❤🎥💯👊👏🔥🚴♂️🎼🥇
Damn class act Tyler, you really have made cycling that much better, honestly. 1. Your passion brings out the passion in everyone. 2. Love of cycling is contagious. 3. Being so cool, down to earth and honest is so refreshing. You brought cycling back into my life, had swayed for a few years but after finding your channel a few years ago, sparked that fire once again. Got to ride with you, virtually on Zwift (Gran Fondo Ride) and you were extremely friendly and a monster on the bike, lol. My few followers, literally very few on Zwift include you VC and that is awesome, something I hold dear. Thanks for what you do, thanks for being you! Ride on.
Your videos are like therapy sessions. The way you view adversity and vocalize what you are going through is amazing. Thank you for the amazing content!
You are such a dude, crushing the miles and the burritos. You're appreciated way more than you think. I'll ride 100 with you when you're close to the Cali/Nevada border. Keep strong
Hey Dude! Greetz from Germany!! I Love your Content, your vibe, and your amazing willpower to achieve your Goals. And i Love that you keep IT so real, i mean, i can "feel" that ITS Not Just for the Video. good, ugly,or sad Moments ITS Just Like IT IS...whatever...BIG FAN from Germany wish you all the best!
Pete, I’ll be praying for you at 5:35 PST on 12/13. Sorry that you have hit a rough patch. Here’s hoping you can stay the course through the other side.
Me and my wife spent 3 weeks in September road tripping the West Coast from SF to Seattle for our honeymoon and it's so cool watching you follow some of the same roads we were on. That floating bridge felt super sketchy even in the car! Not good for someone who's afraid of heights! This looks like the trip of a lifetime even by bike. I'd love to come back one day and do something like this. Nothing but respect 👌
JEEEZ Louise, man, I am so freaking excited right now to be watching this, and I just can't believe my December VC video dream came true. Is this real life? Is this really happening right now, God? I'm a nerdy fanboy. Yuhhhhh
Bro I love your honesty always, and have done for years now and you have always been open with us! I, like you have had to learn, that sometimes you just cannot do anything about the situation, I'm a perfectionist, and when something is out of my control I hate it! But now at 40 years old, I finally am able to just say "that doesn't matter" and just get on with my day. Thanks for being such an amazing and honest creator, your content inspires me, and I love the hell out of your style and effortlessness infront of the camera. Here's to many more years of diamond cutting Boners! Yupppppp 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Tyler, doing great, buddy. Although I reckon you should've joined Francis, Lawrence and James in Thailand! Thanks for uploading each day, I can't imagine that bit is fun when you're absolutely trashed.
Thanks for sharing this cool ride. It's actually still quite expensive even though you are being frugal. I still watch and looking forward to the rest of your videos 👍 Keep Hammering!!! 🤘
Sending you the love, Bike Bro! At 5:35, your time on Friday morning, I will be praying for your day. That you don’t feel loneliness and that you can feel blessed throughout your day. Loved the second video, your transparency, and sincerity. Stay strong, and may God bless!
Minute 21.7, yep very true and I've been working on that myself right now too. I just take a deep breath or two and I'm avoiding a lot of unnecessary conflicts. Great video- I'm watching from Eugene, OR so we were very close!!
Love the coastal views. I live an hour from the geographical center of north America, so I don't get to see the ocean much. Didn't see it for the first time until I was like 28 in 2021. Also it's a winter tundra here right now. Like -30F with wind chill. Digging the warm weather vibes.
I think most people we suffer with only thinking about the finish line or big picture and we tend to ignore the mini victories we're currently accomplishing. From someone who is an extreme overthinker it def takes lot of effort to try enjoy being in the present moment and also allowing ourselves to enjoy those mini victories.
man this is fucking amazing! you're killing it. one little piece of advice if i may! a famous DOP told me once - you could shoot a feature film on an iphone these days, but just make sure that the lens is clean! i recomend just getting a microfibre cloth and tying it around the frame somewhere. that you can just use to rub the lenses on before hitting record! unsolicited advice i know.. but it comes from a place of love and admiration for what you're doing and dreams of getting the most cinematic documentation of it!
15:28 Movie of the day: The Goonies It was filmed around there. 17:20 We cut about... I thought you were going to do a joke about cutting the cheese...being at the Tillsmook cheese plant.
Congrats on the huge physical and mental effort dude. The only thing I would be worried about is these cafe stops and someone stealing your bike. Keep an eye on it and get a itag for it asap and hide it on the bike.
Darn you, man! I'm sitting here recovering from four straight ultra-endurance events and a minor bout of the flu, and you have me staring at my bike and wondering what's next! Also, now I want a dang burrito...
VC I think you should do stretches of the Mississipi river. I know there might not be a ton of elevation but the views and the environment youd be riding through could be amazing content Also In minnesota Im sure you have a big number of viewers and you can talk about bikeing ready cities
How did your pre planned route not prioritize shorter routes? Love this series for making the hours pass on the zwift machine. Vibes with music, fpv, and thoughts on life!
The belief that "things are going too good; something bad will happen" can stem from growing up with an unstable parent who created an unpredictable environment as a way to project their own neurosis onto others. This cyclical pattern of chaos and calm, driven by mechanisms like displacement or projection, serves the parent by externalizing their inner turmoil, allowing them to avoid introspection or confronting their own issues. Could be BPD or a Narcissistic parent. Over time, the child internalizes this dynamic, learning to anticipate disaster as a form of hypervigilance. This coping mechanism often evolves into a cognitive distortion in adulthood, rooted in early experiences of instability and the parent's need to control their emotional landscape through external drama. It's pretty Standard.
Bro… deep. Thank you for this as you are spot on. This makes so much sense, I had an amazing mother and grandma but no father and we always moved so there was no stability day to day. ❤️
9:10 A burrito is literally support, it's not that weird of a rule. Not everyone is an influencer who can just manifest emotional support and food from social media at the roadside. The category of course needs to have an even playing field to be fair
Tyler... Luv it. Great content. Good to see you dealing with all that after the ride... flip ... I think I would just end the day with my legs up in the air stretched out up the walls. Guess you deal with stretches at the end of all that or is it just hot shower... food and video making?
12:28 classic semi truck driver. the oncoming lane is free to safely pass and give some interval but no - let's drive just right by
Followed this in its entirety on Instagram but this is a whole different experience. It’s crazy how much content you captured solo while still putting in record setting efforts day after day.
I’d like to know the watts, do they spiral down or keep steady through the days

Yep ... I'ma be late to work every damn morning for the next week -- to watch these dope videos!!!!!!!

So so glad you made it safe my guy. So much love for all the legs, work, and vibes. So much!
Sitting here on the indoor trainer and vibing so much with this 🤘
Your expressions of the turmoil thoughts that happen while long riding if A1 and real relatable… thank you for the content, good job 👍🏽

Nice!
Where did you put your bike so it doesn’t get stolen at Chipotle? 14:51
VC is back just in time for Xmas
Man it would have been CRUSHING seeing you chewing a toothpick while riding. Imagine this 😂
Darn you, man! I'm sitting here recovering from four straight ultra-endurance events and a minor bout of the flu, and you have me staring at my bike and wondering what's next! Also, now I want a dang burrito...

That huge bridge you crossed can be seen in the background of some of the scenes from the movie, The Goonies!
Yeah! I saw a bunch of goonie references in that town. I grew up on that movie.
Mr. Bill if you read this, go check your saddle height 😉
Great ride champ
Naaaahhh 😊
its too low right?
@@aaalllmmmn it looked that way.

Cave man burrito 😂😂😂
The stretch of Hwy 101 from Florence to Coosbay can be traffic challenging due to the RV traffic and narrow shoulders.
Who edited this whole video? It's incredible, especially the graphics and music!
That avocado scene was rough 😂
I’m starting a drinking game, down one every time Tyler says “dude”
Dead by Ep. 3 ☠️

Its not the lens 🤤🍔
How do you poop throughout the daily ride?
