Question, is the engine layout transverse or longitude? Cause I don't think they make a front wheel drive V8, since LS4 5.3! Let alone a 6.2 version. Are their front wheel drive LT V8?
@@anthonydilapi410 NOOOOOOOOO! My 05 Equinox and 19 Blazer were Awd and had transverse front wheel drive engine layout. Just watch the TFLTruck review. The engine is transverse mounted And their is no V8 LT front wheel drive engines.

One thing I noticed while watching a few videos on the Traverse was that the Z71 trim didn’t seem to have as many bells and whistles as the RS. I like the Z71 trim level but wouldn’t want to sacrifice things like passenger seat was manual controls vs power and the 3rd row seat were also manual vs power. I definitely think they nailed the look of the vehicle and it’s the first time I would keep the travers in mind when choosing a new vehicle. I would have preferred them to use the 2.7 instead of the 2.5 engine to get that 400 number of torque. Overall, I’m impressed
What is up with the odd shape of the rear side windows? Really takes away from the good looks of the Traverse. Reminds me of the Terrain which is hideous to look at.. Also hope there is a wider variety of colors other than black for both interior and exterior. Same thing with wheels. Disappointed that the PREMIER edition is going away. I have a 2022 Premier in beautiful pearl white.
Just about the time you're ready to wave buh-bye to little "g", little "m", they come up with something to keep me hanging around. 🤔 Hopeful it is as nice in person as it is in the photos. Very curious about the 2.5 power plant so please let us know what you can as soon as possible. Exciting....Can't wait! 👍
My impressions are the same as yours. I've owned 2 Tahoes, an Equinox, and a Terrain. My first Tahoe was the smaller 2 door model. That was the right size. The Equinox and Terrain are not quite big enough. The previous versions of the Traverse and GMC Acadia are boring. The 2024 Traverse styling is following the form of the new Colorado. I live on rough dirt roads in the mountains, so I like the Z71. My only concern is that the engine is new. It usually takes some time to work out serious defects like with the original Equinox engine.
I just came across your channel my family hauler was a 2018 Awd cloth and it was great nice power for the v-6 however my wife grew tired of of .this 2024 Z71 is sick can't wait to test drive it .
Base 40K Loaded 10K more with some room in between for those who want a little bit more but can't go all the way. Near 60K with TTL included is possible. The warranty is about half the Hyundai/Kia . Forget about power boost. This is a near 8 second car running on four bangers. It does look good and it seems spacious. I couldn't go for a four banger albeit Turbo in a car this size. They are delaying mpg release b/c it will be the same or worse as the outgoing V-6
Amazing how much hate the Chevy Blazer got when it first came out. 🤔 Now Chevy's entire SUV lineup look similar to the Blazer.😂 The frontend of the 2024 traverse looks like a cross between the the Silverado and Blazer. The flat frontend gives the Traverse a more truck like/rugged look. 👌 for styling!
I'm on my 2nd Traverse. We love it. We had a 2020 and we were actually looking at the Tahoe but the salesman told us the Traverse actually had more cargo room. It's like a mini van and an SUV had a baby. I just got my new one about a month and a half ago and chevy made the interior even nicer now so I can imagine how nice the 24 will be..I like the z71 package..maybe there will be 2 Traverses in my driveway soon.
a 4 cylinder pulling 4,956 lbs less displacement in most cases the engine struggles to pull that level of weight around. Causing it to be less efficient costly in the long run all of this toping out at $50,000 USD. It looks nice it end there.
I love it. May trade our 2011 LT in for the either the RS or Z71. I just love the interior on the Z71 model and the AWD. Ours is front wheel with 20" wheels and no matter what tire we can't keep from spinning the tires if you have to take off hard or if it is wet or snowing.
I think with the way that the dash is laid out the air condition vent the center stack that's already in the high-level trim of a European type of car or German type of car looks really clean
I agree. I currently have a Ford Explorer and never used the 3rd row seating. A delete option would be nice if the vehicle had a flat floor behind the 2nd row seats and additional easy access below floor storage.
So this can only mean gmc acadia should be revealed soon right? I mean its basically the same vehical. Im curious what they do with its front end design

I hope this powertrain is more reliable than the 3.6L V6 that the last generation had. Actually, I hope the entire vehicle is better and not just a facelift.
It's based off of the 2.7t, which is the current gen Silverado's most reliable engine. Even with cylinder deactivation, similar to the v8 counterparts. It's still having less problems than the v8's and even the I6 3.0td that utilize the cylinder deactivation. So it's not doing bad in terms of proving itself. With the 2.7t in the Colorado, it was able to complete the Vegas to Reno desert run race. Granted, the 2.7t was designed with the 3.0td but for some reason the 2.7t is doing better in terms of reliability.
Own a Traverse right now and the vehicle is literally crap on wheels. Always something wrong or broken. I may never buy GM again. Get the warranty if you buy one. I would hope the new model is improved but I have my doubts. I will admit I like it's looks nice though.
nice but that 2.5 engine and the 3rd row seats killed it for me, i would rather have the extra trunk space, but i suppose this is more for a soccer mom.
Oh well, at least it looks tough, but it's not tough, it's still a front wheel drive, unibody platform, with a transverse mounted 4 cylinder engine. I applaud Ford for taking the current Explorer back to a rear wheel drive platform.

Great looking SUV. You can see the kinship to the Colorado. I do not like how the center consoles keep getting wider and taller on just about every vehicle from every manufacturer.
