@@ByrdsRebuilds Ok great, besides the fuse box and the battery, is there any other parts I should be careful with water? Also, is there a product that I can use to keep it nice and shiny that is safe?
Luv all your down to earth Vids especially on the "E" as I own an 03'. Can you offer away to get my hood open as the cable came a loose. The cable is not broken, but came dislodged at the hood bracket after replacing orig rusted out hood latch. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thks. Hope your healing is on track.
Yes I was able to put the new cable and latch on. The hood closed okay, but when I pulled the cable you can hear movement but I can't release anything. The hood will not even release to the safety latch. Radiator and trans cooler in the way. Maybe trying to get between the motor and radiator from underneath may work unless you can offer something else.🤞
2010 Element, didn't have enough clearance for a clean close - Experimented with several mounting ideas and approach - Didn't want to modify anything to resolve overall fit - Pretty cool, just didn't work out for me...
i love how clean your engine bay looks, any recommended products and cleaning techniques
Use Simple Green spray it down and then rinse off with a power washer or the self service car wash

I tried installing similar, but when closing it hits the hood of my car and I could not close. I have a 2009 element EX.
Dang, yeah, it's special brackets

Is it loose at the latch of hood? And I believe it's a plastic clip thing to hold the cable in.
