@@lostwing I've watched a bunch -- great stuff. What I really need is more info about what to buy. Unfortunately I don't have the space for cutting foam, so scratch build won't work for me. Some nuts-and-bolts videos about how to get started would be appreciated.
I love the 03, but it's only weakness is low light. I just loaded the new fw today that's supposed to help with low light, but for now i'm keeping one bird on OG Air Unit/Vista and keeping the 2 main birds on 03's 👌 got them on my site if you wanna try, it's amazing upgrade. And the G2 goggles arent needed to appreciate the 03 👍
@@Fly_High_FPV I got one for Xmas, gonna put it in a small fast wing. Problem for Lost Wing crew will be having 6 or 7 pilots on different systems. I hear Og and 03 don’t play nice together.
@AlanzFPV havent had any issues with OG and 03 air units yet, but my group understands RF and no one is flying on auto mode. The 20mhz is basically the same as 25mbps and integrates niceley 👌
Thank you very much for your answer, you are very kind people, I can ask you something, could you tell me what are the measurements of the compartment where the electronics and the battery are housed? Also, do you know how much the final flight weight is? I have 2 motor options to mount it, T-Motor AS2814/3536 1200kv and T-Motor AS2317 (2836) 1400KV, which of these 2 do you think would work for me? greetings to everyone
I don’t remember how big that motor bay is, but I think it was pretty large. I don’t fly that wing as often anymore since we started cutting our own wings. The final weight for most of those wings turned out to be 1100 or 1200 g. One of mine ended up around 1400 g and was noticeably more difficult to fly. The best advice I can give you is to build it as light as you possibly can. That wing flies 1000 times better light than it does heavy. That’s why we had Shawn make the special foam cut for us. Also, be mindful of the CG, that wing will tip stall if your CG is too far back. If you build it light enough, the 2836 motor will be fine. Otherwise, 3536 is closer to what most of us have been using.
Hi guys, I recently bought a lost wing defiant, I'm from Colombia at the moment it's being imported to my country. I really want to have the same configuration as you, could you please tell me which one do you use? motor, servos, batteries, etc. Thank you very much, I send a greeting to all of you, your videos are amazing.
Oh thanks, that’s awesome. For a motor on that wing, I use an RC Timer 3530 1400 kV, servos are Hitec HS-82MG, Castle Talon 30 amp esc. We used to use dragon link but now I use Crossfire. DJIFPV camera and GoPro recording camera. Most of those are Lipo 3300 4S, but we just started using homemade lithium ion. The key is to cover it in clear Scotch packing tape, not laminate. It is tougher and stronger and you can make it really tight.
@@lostwing Hi guys, I bought the same components that you recommended me in this comment. Could you tell me which propeller gave you the best performance vs. amperage consumption? thank you so much
Love seeing the ground and the undersides of the trees illuminated as you pass thru.
Great flying amigos!
Thanks man. It's pretty fun to chase too!
Sick!!!
Thankya Nater.
Liking what I see 🤘😎😎GYSOT
It's no @MSR. or @shelbyvoll but it's not bad...
I've been thinking about picking up a fixed wing for fpv and this is the video that sold me. I'm in.
Nice! We have a ton of wing videos on the channel if you need another hit.

That wing is on FIRE !! It's only 5700 miles so I will fly with you, no problem !
Should be a piece of cake with a lithium ion battery.
@@lostwing one day ..
Damn that wing is beautiful! Great showcase of the Fire Falcon in its native habitat. Love that ending too
Thanks Alan ! Fire Falcon loves golden hour !
Aww dude, this is amazing, you know I gotta repost this 🙌 #GetLit
Do what you gotta do! Ha! Thanks!
That’s a hot wing
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
She's spicy. Ghost peppers were used...
So gorgeous. What camera rig do you use for this?
That’s a GoPro, either 7 Black or 10
Black. Can’t remember which is on that wing. Flown with DJI.
Yes I would like to fly please send me info.
For sure! Where are you located? We usually fly in the San Diego area.
Flaming Cheeto indeed! Any thoughts amongst the crew about trying the new dji 03 air unit and it's higher res to ditch the hd camera's weight?
Gonna let John test it first. When he's satisfied, I'll prob look at it. ; )

@@Fly_High_FPV good to know. How many pilots have you had up at once?
