I agree you do need money for the restructuring and chicken feed etc. The cost of equipment and tools. People should be honest and upfront. Tell us how you really did it. To the last cent. You weren't just two people who left on foot with nothing.
@@AljameaSuleman let's be serious you need to either have a savings or inheritance maybe even be a trustfund kid, of course it's going to take money! Everything is gonna take money even if your renting a studio apartment jeez I'm sure she knows a thing or two about how to build a house.
@@AljameaSuleman Cut out all the unnecessary things in your life. Coffee, movies, streaming services, television services. Pay off our phone, car, education. This was a beautiful video. Your right about the money. You have such a beautiful homestead. You might of had some tears and sweat but look how wonderful it turned out.
I’m Soo happy for you two BFFs! I would give anything and everything to live off grid and away from the city chaos and corruption. Beautiful home you two ❤❤
Wow! Great job, y'all are livin' the dream!!! Mo' money mo' problems. I just wanna be self sufficient and be in a better position to help others. I think life can be very simple 💖
You have created a paradise for yourself, and I admire your abilities. I wish my generation had the support to pursue these kind of dreams for ourselves. Don’t look back. Congratulations! 🙌🏻
But where did you find the land to set everything up? Are you legally allowed to just go into some random part of the woods and do that? Can you make a video on how you did everything and what all of the startup costs are for you?
It’s all a person needs. We have become so materialistic and value is placed on what you own versus who you are and the family unit is being destroyed. If we go back to the basics I believe people will be happier and healthier
Hi Ladies, I suggest y’all buy another shed to attach to the first one. Make 2 bedrooms and closets, and a bathroom w/o a shower. Good for company and using at night. Composting toilet. Have some comfort! Y’all are amazing!
I'm so happy to find this account I used to follow you on tiktok but I deleted the app a while ago and I think about the beautiful life you've created all the time and there you are on my feed today! Thank you for sharing your inspirational journey on UA-cam
I have own my home with some land and have written down my intentions to rely on "the system" less and value my self more. I admire what you have made with your own hands. My next buy is solar for hot water and electricity.
I did this fron scratch when i was younger. I suggest little wall mountable kerosene lamps with reflectors( to increase lights focus ) and an Aladdin lamp. One for the table, and a hanging Aladdin. We didnt get outs I de power for 4 years. Used a generator intermittently like on wash days with the wringer washer and the well pump that day.!! 😊😊
I've been homesteading for the last 7 years I live off of 19,000 a year I am debt free I am fully self-sufficient people fat ass crazy all these years but I'm very happy
Some from column A, some from column B. Being handy and capable of fixing and building useful things yourself, and not feeling that you need all the latest and greatest toys and consumables and status signifiers is definitely helpful if you want to make good use of the resources you have available, but a solid source of income over the course of ones most productive years is also indispensable if you want to build a life with security for your later years.
My grandparents went with a make more, need less approach and saved the "extra" for their retirement. Other than the economic era they were living in during their working years, they did have a couple of advantages. My great-grandparents bought a property in 1936. My grandparents moved on to that property in 1964, where they lived in a 3 room cabin with their 8 kids. They then built their big house over the next 6 years, building as they had the money and only taking out a small mortgage at the end to do the sheetrocking and other finish work. This made their bills significantly lower, and they paid off the mortgage before they retired.
I have lived well below the poverty level for so long that I learned to be creative and resourceful, and I'm doing better & living better than people who make 4 or 5 times as much as I do. I've been in the same place for 25 years and have very low rent living out in the country in the woods. I forage, garden, barter & trade, repurpose, shop thrift stores. I'm happy, have a superlative dog, am well fed, set aside food stores, have everything I need, am well dressed, debt free, have superior credit, and emergency savings. The simpler the better.
I ABSOLUTELY AGREE!! BUT ☝️ UNFORTUNATELY There's ALWAYS PROPERTY TAXES TO PAY even though you payed taxes on said property when you bought your property as well as SCHOOL TAXES for a FAILING SCHOOL SYSTEM!!! Always the TAXES!!!🤦🤦🤦
It's a balancing act. Once the garden is established, the house built and transportation paid for it has to be maintained. We own our place but there's a lot of necessary repairs not getting done because our finances are out of balance. We need a $300 part for our vehicle. Unless it's repaired we lose our stuff. House is paid for though. Good luck with your adventures
You are spot on. Being self sufficient is smart.
Completely agree but unfortunately you need money to be able to do this at least starting out
It doesn't cost a thing to change your life so you need less money.
She said less money

Agreed. It also helps to find someone who wants to live that simple life with you. ❤❤
But where did you find the land to set everything up? Are you legally allowed to just go into some random part of the woods and do that? Can you make a video on how you did everything and what all of the startup costs are for you?
You have to look for unrestricted agricultural land

So true girl 👏🏼
Girlfriend you did good! So beautiful and I agree with you about needing less money
Absolutely agree. 😊
Truth❤🎉
Love it, but that homestead still took a great deal of $ to accomplish I'm sure.
Simple, well and attractively crafted. A suitable home.
I love the fact you two are doing this yourselves. Most women are afraid to use power tools and build.
Well done ladies.

You're correct. I was raised that way. Unfortunately i am not living how i was raised.
Absolutely. Sadly it's become a novel idea to live below our means. Got to do what you got to do.
I love this, I wish I could do this

Jesus✝️ Bless your sweet Home.
It makes me sad that like 90% of what i just saw would be illegal in my country

Simple living is what we need not more government or crowds
Awesome!
Lovely simple sweet life ❤❤❤
Good job 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Beautiful home
It’s not just the needing less lifestyle- it’s also about not being afraid to DIY. Just get in there and learn some carpentry & farms
But where do you put your house when you're ready to build? That's the help we need, actually.
Looks great to me.
I agree with you.
I love it💌
Way to beat the system: make more money AND need less 😂 tryna stock up like a squirrel getting ready for winter
Love it
