I don’t know if it worked for you but the guys who do the big molds of resin and turn them on the wheel, they have a little air hose that they blow into the sides, and it separates and makes it easier.
You can buy compressed air in a spray can, would be interesting to see if that works before investing in a compressor. White a second, Julie got the vacuum pot so she must have boughra compressor!
Hi, SUGGESTION-- I saw a video that looked pretty cool to do, take your large mold, turn them inside out & apply nail foil, you can use different colours, turn back the right way & resin, it makes amazing items. that owl is adorable :)
@@chriscoulson1118 it adheres the same way the powders do. It sticks to the silicon. You just use a softe brush to cover the mold and tap out the left over bits. Works the same with metallic leafing sheets too.
Just make sure you use the correct side of the foils if you are using a Holo patterned foil. Take a small piece of tape. The correct side will show the pattern of the foil in the tape. Sounds like an interesting experiment.
I know this is an older video but would love seeing a new one on this owl! My sister loves owls and is picky too... loves chunky and big eyes ones. So I'm looking for just the right owl mold ❤😊

I don't think I want to get into making molds too but am very curious as to how you do it. Love your videos! ❤❤ Had to come back and say that I LOVE that cute little owl! I switched from a spray bottle to a squishy dropper to get the alcohol further down in the mold, let the mold sit for a minute, and then pop it out. I know your under a time crunch when filming but it's worth the minute wait time.

I knew that the new mold you showed was an owl and yes I really hope you make some for sale because I would love to have one. And I love the puffy hearts with the Glitter as a matter of fact I'm going to be ordering some.
Please make a mold of the owl for sale, maybe make it so that the part that's on the table be where the resin gets poured in in there and it's not such a deep pour. That way maybe we can use glass eyes sometimes instead of markers to give them definition.

I've been experimenting with super fine glitter to dust molds, just make sure you don't have a pile of loose glitter at the bottom like I did.😆
