When I practice the Cucaracha, I use the Alex Moore's red technique book on the Popular Variation in Rumba known as "Syncopated Cuban Rocks" and do this move several times in common "cucaracha" position - which is usually 2nd position, with this exercise I call "Cucarachas in Place." Syncopated Cuban Rocks Variation according to the book goes, timing-wise - "2 and 3 4 (hold 1)", 4 steps, and I often would repeat that several times........but I want to use that rhythm using Cucarachas in place. I love to start with the LF first.... LF RF LF RF, LF RF LF RF, LF RF LF RF, so this would be "2 and 3 4 (hold 1), 2 and 3 4 (hold 1), 2 and 3 4 (hold 1)."
Glad you like it Luiseme! Yes, it's designed to be without a partner (or in groups to work your individual skills), so you can aweseme-asize your dancing. Thanks! tytus

I have a question, In Jive how to dance slip tap and ball change, and combine these two steps together? I saw this action here ua-cam.com/video/ZPu_Ygr1uHc/v-deo.html , I can not do it at normal jive speed. thanks!
Hi Frank! thanks for asking, and sharing that cool video! try this... Layer your practice to work up to regular speed jive: 1. Practice only the quick taps to music. Just keep standing leg bent. 2. Practice only the slips to regular jive music. Keep ankle of free foot attached to slipping leg. 3. Think about the slips as little hops.. lifting and lowering the heel, keeping knee bent. Practice that together with taps to regular speed music. let me know if that helps? thanks! Tytus
