I noticed too that you guys didn’t pause at all during his performance. This song always has this effect on people, even those who don’t understand Urdu. And Atif, of course, always sings such songs with real feeling. Also, you’re right that Atif doesn’t sing the same line the same way twice. There’s always variation in his singing.

I would highly recommend Allahu Akbar (season 10), Tu Kuja Man Kuja (season 9) from CS as well. Both religious tracks but with a more dramatic feel. There’s also another masterpiece by Atif Aslam called Tajdar-e-Haram, from season 8. It’s a remake of a famous qawalli, in praise of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Listen to najam's "Na Tera Khuda koi aur hai, Na mera Khuda koi aur hai".
Najam wrote that hamd(poetry written in praise of Allah) himself and recited it without music.
