You see how men choose themselves first,.. women, we need to do the same for ourselves. If you are having sex for pleasure, please use protection.. Don't add the stress of having an abortion on top of this

At the end of the day, EVERYBODY IS SELFISH. DO NOT LET ANYONE MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE THE DEVIL BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE YOU’RE MORE SELFISH THAN THEM BECAUSE IF YOU TAKE A DEEPER LOOK AT THE SITUATION, THE CORE OF IT IS THAT THEY HAVE A STAKE. So at the end of the day, they’re just upset that you have the capacity to choose yourself over them and they don’t.

Gbemi kept it real the entire time. She's always been like that from the jump, so no surprises there. I agree with her 100%. The lady in question has been blacklisted by Canada. Canada and the US share certain immigration data, so the US would deny her as well. Asking him to come back because of that is quite ridiculous, to say the least. He is not exonorated in this situation; they were both responsible, but she got the shorter end of the stick, and guess what life can be that way sometimes. Because of this, it is advisable to always safeguard yourself, particularly as a woman. That's why there is something called self-preservation, so you don't feel like you have lost everything when things go awry.
At this point, she should just count her losses and move on; it's extremely hard, but it's doable. While at it, she should seek intense therapy too so she does not carry that hurt into the next phase of her life. He, on the other hand, should be gracious to her, just like Gbemi said; he should just let her go kindly and move on in peace. Curses aren't going to work here; she as much as played a huge role in the mess he has found herself in, so she may as well be cursing herself.

I don't think he has exhausted all his options, if he really wanted to start a family with her as he has said why can't he come back and marry her then she can apply as a partner because then the application will be viewed differently? I get from this message he already had doubts about her fertility due to their experience and is just making excuses IMO. If you really want to you will find a way, just saying.

Spot on.... That was an option I expected them to say. She shouldn't have blackmailed him emotionally, but I feel she did that because she is invested and committed. It's hard letting go sometimes.

I think we are out of touch with the fact that this story is actually people’s reality, and I feared this will happen when this became a UA-cam show. The human touch is missing in this episode, and no matter how blunt a person is, we must all cultivate emotional intelligence. Talking about paying her, blocking her, lol…very out of touch with the reality. Also out of touch with the guy’s reality too, he is writing because he is out of peace…he can’t be at peace and is troubled too, very ladened with guilt.
And everybody loves Gbemi now in the comment section until you are the one at the receiving end, or the the one getting the short end of the stick😂

I don't endorse her cursing or black mailing him. But can we be honest he hasn't been fair.
    1. He wasn't under duress to have sex without protection, that's just an excuse on his part
    2. We should ask when was the last abortion done, because he can't just say he suddenly realised that he was ready to start a family.. in my opinion i think his fears started when they tried to have a baby intentionally and it didn't work.
    3. What if they had gotten married before his move, would he request that they get divorced because they have tried for 2 years and it didn't work.. i mean we have people who try for more than 2 years.
He's told us his side of the story and honestly that's not enough, for all we know, she was probably instrumental to the success of his relocation (this is me assuming)
But my God 5 years isnt 5 days, and if we are going to include 2 years then that would be 7 years.
This is how burnt people are birthed and the hurt continues and the world remains a toxic place.
I think he needs to plead to her conscience genuinely and not just block...
Karma works not her curse but karma

    • @princesscindy657

They are two consenting adults who could have made better choices but that’s story for another day…
And yes karma works, it’s the rule of life, every action has its consequences..

      @boluwatifeyusuf-l6c Місяць тому +2

I totally get your point but as you have said every action has its consequences.
The boy has his own share of fault, the girl has too but there's always one person on the receiving end and the girl should have weighed her options. So this is her own consequence of her action. Why would you abort for a man 6 times? Why? The man has fault too but the womb is hers! It's her body. It's her system that is being damaged. She should have stood her ground. The boy didn't stand his ground but what does he have to loose now? It's the girl that has her own body at stake and she didn't protect it. You don't intentionally allow people walk over you then come back to complain.
Even if you are married, you should not under any circumstances have 6 abortions! As Gbemi has said it's unfortunate but the boy can move on

When the wife found out, she aborted his baby, cheated on the husband with his elder brother whom he loved so much and divorced his a$$😂. You don’t build just anything with the hope that nature will behave itself. That’s the same with life.

He can be successful in Nigeria or any other country too. I mean, this lady stayed with him all through the years he's been in Canada too. He just does not want her. She's exhausted with 6 abortions and several visa trials. The guy too should sacrifice. You don't want to imagine what the lady is going through. There are other options that doesn’t include him moving back. After 5 years, her ban can be lifted and she can them employ the services of an immigration consultant/lawyer for the next application. They both can equally try other countries after 5 years particularly because he’s in tech which is somewhat easier to settle in “any” country. They can try Germany, Sweden, Thailand, Finland, loads of other countries and migrate to US/Canada later on (if that’s still the goal). My point is, they’re both responsible and can surely find a way if he wants to.
Moving on without her is the easy way out

No I don’t agree with Gbemi’s advice respectfully. Who does he want to leave the girl for? No o, they both are guilty, he concurred to the abortion for 6 times, now he wants to leave… to where? Then the girl, I don’t want to curse your ass out, when you’ve done 1,2 abortions, were you not even scared? Did you not ever think to at least keep the 3rd one or have fear that you won’t get pregnant again.
Now the guy might leave you and go have his family and you’d be here crying and trying to conceive. My advice is both of you were in it together from the start so you guys should dry together till Jesus comes. Apply for Masters in Uk, the girl should come to Uk, you both get married either in UK or Naija then she can apply for US visa from UK.
    Girls please be wise !!!’

The UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand share information, immigration inclusive, so she would most likely not get into these countries. Other countries then ask for previous rejections and if these countries are there, they’ll most likely reject you especially when you mention reasons for the rejections

The guy is just skeptical because of rhe numerous abortions. He never cared about her and thats the truth. The lady in turn did herself a disservice by not valuing and loving herself because why are you having abortions 6 times? Once could be a mistake but more than once is a pattern and a choice

The wicked comments made me uncomfortable but Gbemi is a strong character, she refused to accept the projection on her personality, being logical is actually a strength most women lack because women are more emotionally wired, so we see it as wicked and a masculine trait. It's refreshing to see logical and not just emotional perspectives. Gbemi comes across as balanced emotionally and logically.

If it was the lady, she would have found a way to make it work. Come back, marry her and go back or better still help her to leave the country (try Finland or Australia)as a parting gift if you really want to help

I think it became complicated because they did not get married before he travelled. If he can come home to marry her, inviting her over as her wife might work eventually. I know about couples that one party joins the other after some years.
Because the guy is making his decision based on a lot of logical basis, which includes the possibility of her past record affecting her child fertility complicates the issue.
Marrying out of pity will not favour both of them. If they get married, they will have a lot of issues to deal with. There is also trust issue based on fake document, etc.
The guy should not marry based on pity. If he really loves her, he will put her first.
Both of them needs help separately, repentance, healing, forgiveness, wholeness. They can't even come out of the relationship to jump into another immediately.
Out of the broken pieces of her past, God can build an edifice of hope.
There is more to this thing called Love. True love is a decision not emotion. Whatever they had together having abortion was lust and fornication.

Aunty ife , this is very sad but what if he came back married her, and started applying for permanent residency? Why didn’t he try that option before asking for a breakup?
He wants to move on cause he didn’t want the no womb situation, Abi? Aunty ife , let people who destroy each other stay together. Why are you trying to go away? Who then marries the lady that has aborted for you ?

  • @yemisiodesilo5508
    @yemisiodesilo5508 Місяць тому

This is quite an interesting story.
I agree with both of you that they both need to move on with their lives as the visa refusals might be a way of the universe making the decision for them.
From the story, all the 6 abortions were the girl’s decisions regardless of whether or not the guy agreed.
The guy tried to be humane to the extent of suggesting the move to the USA from Canada. I wonder if the guy considered the option of travelling to Nigeria to marry her so she can use that to apply for a visa but then that could completely complicate issues. Also, was the guy aware that she used fake documents to try to get a visa prior to this time? If not, that’s questionable!
They were both irresponsible sexually, so it wasn’t just one person’s blame.
It’s unfortunate but it is what it is. There’s no need for the guy to succumb to emotional blackmail, it already shows that the marriage won’t last if it ever happens!

I think because Gbemi doesnt like long distance relationship made her cut other options easily. First ife, can the couple do long distance relationship there will be other options, the guy seem to write everything in his favour, what are the other things he said they went through together. The blackmail from the lady is unnecessary but she should know there is no love again and move on!!
