Trypticon and Scorponok are easily the most faithful to G1, so they are handily my favorites. They give me the nostalgic feels hard, none of the Autobots do.
Good list for the baseformers. Would have preferred the combiner titans to be included though as it would show that Trypticon was a comparatively better release than other years, say the year we got Predaking
I recommend the earthrise Optimus prime, it’s pricey but if you’re committed then it’s worth it. It’s a perfect G1 representation of Optimus prime. Also for the figure, it has no backpack kibble unless you count his wheels on his back.
Will agree with the Prime recommendation. If you don’t have a G1 Starscream, I’d recommend Earthrise’s version, too. This comes from someone who was very hesitant to pick him up. Greatly enjoy them both.
Honestly? All of Earthrise and Siege are pretty cool. You could get literally any of them and be happy. My favorites however are Starscream, Wheeljack, and Cliffjumper. They’re fairly widely available so you should be able to find them at Target.
For siege: Starscream, Netflix Megs, Jetfire, Omega Supreme, Hound, Flywheels, Shockwave, Ultra Magnus, Sideswipe, Spinister, Mirage, Reflector (Refraktor) set...any of them honestly. Oh and Impactor and Springer. I have every release of siege except for the original chromia (I got the netflix one), nightbird, galaxy upgrade optimus, and nemesis prime. I would recommend ironhide, Optimus, barricade, and soundwave but we are getting and already have better versions in ER (Optimus).
My ranking of the official Hasbro/Takara Titan Class figures: 8: Ark (Unreleased yet, and the head looks ugly) 7: Devastator (Great figure, but too small for a titan and too big for a combiner) 6: Predaking (Same problems as Devastator, but I like Predaking design-wise more than Devastator) 5: Scorponok (Grudge for the fact that it took so long for a Titan figure of hime to be released) 4: Trypticon (Eats Titanmasters, which is fun, but looks out of place especially compared to Metroplex) 3: Omega Supreme (Looks amazing, and could make for pretty good stop motions, but looks too big compared to Trypticon and the combiners) 2: Fortress Maximus (Absolutely incredible, but the city mode is underwhelming compared to the G1 city mode) 1: Metroplex (Benchmark Titan-Class, Former Record holder for about 3 years) Honorable mentions (3rd Party or other large Hasbro figures): - Haslab Unicron (Too big for a Titan class, but if it were in that class, it would easily be number 3) - Fanstoys Terminus Giganticus aka Omega Supreme (Way too big for a Titan class, but suitable for a Masterpiece style figure) - 01 Studio Cell aka Unicron (Highly articulated figure, but too small for the Titan Class) - Planet X Genesis and Apocalypse aka Omega Supreme and Trypticon (In scale with the game, highly articulated and very game accurate) - Cang Toys Thunderking aka Predaking (Unreleased yet, but promotional material and current line looks promising) - DOTM/ROTF Leader Class Optimus (Both great figures, but pains to transform and easy to break) - Maketoys Utopia/Pandanus aka Metroplex and Scorponok(Both great figures of good size)
I’m waiting for my scorponok to ship, I’ll definitely pick up omega sooner or later; but for now I’m spending all of my money on TF Animated figures. Another awesome “review”!
I’m hoping that Hasbro will now do the colony titans from the comics like Metrotitan and the Phoenix one (can’t remember it’s name but it’s the Titan for the predacon and maximal characters)
Omega Supreme I agree is definitely one of the best due to his great articulation and the fact that he has so much playability with his battle blast effects and track around his alt mode.
Thanks for the video, really appreciated. You are absolute spot on about the ranking for those titan class figures. I am very disappointed with the Fortress Maximus design, like you mentioned it was totally lazy by the toy manufacturer. After reviewed the design and no gun nor sword included with Fort Max I decided not to buy it. So after all, I managed to own the omega supreme and I just love it.
Sold my Gen Fortmax for all the reasons you stated. It's garbage and the G1 original is 100X better. At first, I was an Omega Supreme naysayer. But then I bought it, I was blown away! Got Metroplex and Trypticon. Both are not great, but very important in my collection. Finally, I'm waiting for a Select Black Zarak to get the Scorpy mold.
Fort Max is taller than Metroplex. As he should be. 😁 As for my top five, I'd go Omega, Max, Trypticon for 1-3. I don't personally own Metroplex or Scorponok (yet), so the latter may climb higher. Even if I do find a decent deal on the former, he will never be higher than Max because I'm partial to the Headmaster gimmick. Also, I think you got a bum Max. Mine has been perfectly fine since day 1 of unboxing.
My list would go Scorponok Fort max Trypticon Metroplex Omega supreme I loved all of the figures with exception of the Omega supreme that one was kinda disappointing, I think if they had stuck with the original design it would have been better. If you're not sure what I'm talking about look into it, originally things were going to be a little bit different with the hips and upper thighs and something to do with the head and chest.
PS metroplex would be higher up my list if they did a retooled version that was meant to look more g1 than war for Cybertron video game/idw. I just feel like the design isn't g one enough compared to the other Titans.
I owned Gen. Metroplex once and was thoroughly disappointed with it. It felt like an oversized Legends figure - the transformation was THAT pathetic. Floppy as hell too. Luckily I resold it at a profit. This character definitely needs an update.
Fortress Maximus is terrible. He needs a new titan release so bad. He basically has no city mode at all. Fort Max has my favorite city mode of all the big guys and is a shame the Titan release does him no justice
For me the worst of this is Metroplex, it´s lazy, floppy, his altmodes look like him sitting down with his legs spread, and him sitting down with his legs together... The Worst... also a slim tiny waist... Fortress at least has the faithfull Space ship mode and the Headmaster Gimmick and a much better made torso, Metroplex got nothing... I bought it and I was so disappointed I had to sell it. I wish he got a new better made toy, in better scale with Trypticon. The rest of the Titans are GREAT I just wish Trypticon was a bit taller! As always, GREAT VIDEO!
Will there be a new version? 5 more Titans have come out by now, (The Ark, Black Zarak, Cybertron Metroplex, Omega Sentinal/Guardian Robot, and The Nemesis)
I find the city mode lacking in Scorponok. I also find the tracks small for O.S.'s tank. And the fact that it is not motorized and the turret doesn't rotate.
Omega Supreme has some flaws. The main one is that the tank does not fit on the railway around the rocket. Which takes away the purpose of the railway. Also, the way the head is combined with the main gun of the tank is very disappointing. You mention that Fortress Maximus is a lazy design. I would say that OS is not much better. What i do like about Fortress Maximus is the headmaster/Titan master design. Further you can add COG's parts to it. It has just like Metroplex a lot of playability. I don't own Trypticon and Scorponok. So if i have to make a top 3: Metroplex, Fortress Maximus, Omega Supreme.
I own half the titans on this list and Omega is most worthy of being no 1!! The other two are Metroplex and his rival. With my Metroplex I had a problem with his gun, the 5 ml port connection pretty much snapped off so the gun can no longer be a tower in city mode, so clearly not really that well made and I have yet to pull the remains out of the hole on his back!!
I got omega and trypticon because they have the best alt modes. Fort max and metros alt modes are not very good in my opinion- the base and vehicle modes - the humanoid parts are very obvious. I wish the metroplex aircraft carrier mode was lot better - half of it looks good but then the arm pieces just giveaway the humanoid pieces.
I agree with this list, aside from flipping omega and scorponok. but if this is a titan class ranking, what about CW devastator and POTP predaking-I’m pretty sure they’re titan class.
Your voice is epic, man! British people always sound like they are more intelligent than everyone else. XD On the topic, it's unfortunate that with most Hasbro/TakaraTomy figures, it takes a third party company to make these figures much better. If it's not gap fillers, it's some accessory that should have been included with the figure in the first place.
It is known that the Takara version of Fortress Maximus has loose ratchets. If he had purchased the Hasbro version, he would have had a figure which has much better ratchets.
I have to say, I really hate the use of the word "lazy" when it comes to toy design. Particularly with Transformers which require a high level of engineering to make them look right. There was nothing lazy about the Fort Max implementation. My ranking worst to best: Metroplex, Trypticon, Fort Max, Omega, Scorpinok. I have Metroplex as worst because I simply can't look past the Barbie looking design. True to the original, sure. But the tiny waist and 2 big square boobs. That's what I see. I still like the figure, but still last on my list.
My only disagreement would be that Trypticon needs to be a little higher up the list, but I can see that it's just a matter of preference.
I agree. Though I might be biased because he's the only one I own
Wish they went with the wfc trypticon
@@zero-wolf5519 I don’t know, Omega deserved a new release and Trypticon had his shine for Titans Return.
Where's my Titan Class Tidal Wave, Hasbro?
Titan class Energon Omega Supreme.
My dream figure
Give me tidal wave !!!!!!!
Where’s my high tide titan
Or a grittier version of the rescue bots : I grew up on them and g1
Yeah Hasbro were is it!!
Trypticon and Scorponok are easily the most faithful to G1, so they are handily my favorites. They give me the nostalgic feels hard, none of the Autobots do.
i hope everybody gets that:"Fortress maximus is unable to enlarge because he used up his power to operate on spok"
great video keep up the good work!
3:33 I instantly knew that was from the FOC trailer😂
Yea do more ranking videos, good video by the way, we need a titan class picture of them all together.
Impossible
Good list for the baseformers. Would have preferred the combiner titans to be included though as it would show that Trypticon was a comparatively better release than other years, say the year we got Predaking
i think electronics are overrated. my main criteria so far for this size class has been alt mode(s).
Also it would add to the price
I'd like the next titan class should be a combiner...
Bring all the combiners unto the predaking, devastator scale.
Bruticus!!!!! CW dosen't do him justice
Instead of making the MP Raiden that will be incredibly expensive they should have made a Titan Class Raiden.
Yo I wish especially menasaur and bruticus and abominus
I love the thumbnail for the video it's awesome
Wasn’t Combiner Wars Devastator classified as a Titan Class
yeah and predaking
combiner styled titans are exempt from this list
@@PrimeVsPrime and whats with the grand maximus figure?
Lukas Priglinger because it is the same mold as fortress Maximus
The original Fortress Maximus is the better, this new one is just lazy.
Please do a seige or earthrise ranking would really help a newcomer like myself decide on what figures to buy ;)
I recommend the earthrise Optimus prime, it’s pricey but if you’re committed then it’s worth it. It’s a perfect G1 representation of Optimus prime. Also for the figure, it has no backpack kibble unless you count his wheels on his back.

I think the weakest animated toys are cybertronian megatron. Both deluxe and voyager class.
skybite yeah I like the design in the show but they failed when they made the toy.
DARK SCORCH OFFICIAL Blackout is not that good either
skybite yeah same thing applies with him; his design in the show was cool, but his toy kinda sucked
DARK SCORCH OFFICIAL not sure about Swindle and the joints though.
I’m hoping that Hasbro will now do the colony titans from the comics like Metrotitan and the Phoenix one (can’t remember it’s name but it’s the Titan for the predacon and maximal characters)
Metrotitan would be cool since they could just retool and repaint Metroplex (as in retooling to make him more G1 accurate)
Thanks for the video ...tottally agree with the List Omega RULES!!
I feel like blackzarak will be a takara tomy exclusive
Probably a mall exlusive like super Megatron
Omega Supreme I agree is definitely one of the best due to his great articulation and the fact that he has so much playability with his battle blast effects and track around his alt mode.
Prime vs prime, can you make a giant city using all the titans and all the earthrise transformers? I really want to see that

Peter from Family Guy changed her daughter's name from Megan to Megatron when she was born.
Ya convinced me to get scorponok before and it looks like you've done it wi omega as well now XD

Fortress Maximus is terrible. He needs a new titan release so bad. He basically has no city mode at all. Fort Max has my favorite city mode of all the big guys and is a shame the Titan release does him no justice
They should make a kingdom omega supreme that’s a repackage of the siege omega supreme so we don’t miss out on it
I really want a metroplex and triptycon toy
So you really made an 11 minute video for 6 figures? Cool
I don't even consider Metroplex as he's totally outdated and was done by a different design team. I am also super hoping for a new Fort Max.
I agree with this ranking a ton
We need a titan class driller

Originally metroplex sits down in city mode. That is what they were going for there when they designed it. Have you ever owned his original toy?
Love your vids
Wish I could have afforded these they are all epic.
Love the vid!
By the way the cybertronian writing on metroplexes chest says “Stay clear”
Please do a ranking on combiners . This video was great
Wow that live stream was epic!
Will there be a new version? 5 more Titans have come out by now, (The Ark, Black Zarak, Cybertron Metroplex, Omega Sentinal/Guardian Robot, and The Nemesis)

If anyone has a Generations Metropolex. GIVE ME IT! I THINK IT LOOKS SUPER COOL. He would look great with Core class Megatron for... reasons.
All titan class figures are actually great.
Primevsprime I really do like the omega supreme figure even though he is very hard to find for a decent price
Great video
I got a feeling that the next one is The Ark like Animated Omega Supreme
I like that optimus!
I am so excited!
And omega supreme and they both are great titans
I agree with this list, aside from flipping omega and scorponok. but if this is a titan class ranking, what about CW devastator and POTP predaking-I’m pretty sure they’re titan class.
combiner styled titans are exempt from this list
Oh, I get guess I missed that. thanks for responding! 😀
I just want a bay verse Titan class figure. Not sure which it would be, perhaps the driller bot?
Your voice is epic, man! British people always sound like they are more intelligent than everyone else. XD

Fort Max is my least favourite Titan too. I hate the fact they retooled a Titan class, the figure we only get one of every year.
Yup. This is definitely your list.
Updated Metroplex? YES plaese ^^
I can't past how bad Omega Supreme's hips look. They looked much better in the early preview version than the production version.
Even the worst titans are still really good
So should I get Trypticon or Scorponok
Clash of the Titans
Metroplex has been my favourite titan sins 2012 or 2013
2013
Im sad
I missed jetfire
And im stuck with the two lowest ratest titans on this list
:C
Wait, how did you manage to get your hands on Scorponok when he isn’t available yet?
Am dying as you say for a redo of Metroplex ….
What do you guys think the next wfc titan will be?
Wonder why you’d ft max got floppy arms,
I recently found my armada Unicron and one of his knee joints is now really floopy
The other knee clicks
It is known that the Takara version of Fortress Maximus has loose ratchets. If he had purchased the Hasbro version, he would have had a figure which has much better ratchets.

Where's Predaking or Devastator? They are classified as Titans too. Wish you would have had them all!

3:55 he says it's SDCC, but it almost looks like the TT Legends version
I’m guessing the earthrise scorponok scales with leaders, voyagers, deluxes, and leagends scale figures
no
Trypticon way to bulky but I'd still buy him tho
Hi guys i just purchased the kingdom ark that is a great titan
Nope, Metroplex is based off of his IDW design. Though he does have the voice lines from the video game
The Fort Max looks better than Metroplex which is too think in the body.
PrimevsPrime can do a Siege and earthrise size comparisian
I wish the main line release of fort max came with a sword or gun
Personnely mine goes metroplex fortress maximus then scorponok then omega supreme
What's the music going in the background?
This Fort Max is a retool of Metroplex, and that in my opinion is the huge drawback with the entire figure.
Scorpunok is in my opinion the best
Fortress Maximus is my favorite titan but I know the toy sucks have you ever seen the reviews I don’t know why can’t they just make a new version
Don’t forget transformers grand maximus tho it looks same as fortress maximus design
You should’ve added the ark for the best
metroplex is the best one in my opinion
Autobots roll out!
