I have worked around the area of sex abuse for many years and I think it is a sad state of society where people seem less aware of the sexual abuse of boys and men, though it's talked about more nowadays. Sexual abuse of young males is as high as it is for young females and no less relevant. From experience 20+ year old men rarely report sex abuse for fear of the stigma and shaming from their peers and society. There needs to be far more support for victims of sex abuse.

Keep the good work going....Thank you for this video. Trafficking literally the biggest out there which is a problem all over the world and I don't think enough efforts are being put to stop it. Raising awareness like this is a must. Thank you.

Thanks for this vlog. I think this needs to be brought to the public. Hey, just a suggestion ... be less general and try to give a couple examples to prove each point. Young people are being abused.!!
Hey sorry again.... your message is so important to educate the public. Please keep posting...

Thank you for speaking up about these things. I've long been saddened to see how little people realize the the numbers of boys and men subjected to sexual abuse and exploitation. There are many reasons for this, some complex, but I'm glad the information is getting out there more. It's important. For those who have been harmed in this way, I am so sorry. Know that you have sisters speaking up for you.

There are no questions about how wemon are abused in sexual relationship. Most people do not think of a man being abused sexually. Dysfunctional abusive relationship is a big problem in our society. The question really is , how do we create positive, constructive, healthy relationships. Love your self and love your brother as your self.

Great post. This video should be redone and updated yearly. Some great info to add as well could be the % of foster & aged out youth and young adults that make up, as much as we know, those being trafficked. It is upwards of 60%. So, the lack of support for aging out young adults if an awareness need.

I know from experience that the confusion of being coerced, and the interest/enjoyment of the sexual feeling are very difficult to sort out, especially if you're young. For a male, knowing if you consented because your body responded and gave you exciting feelings, is pretty impossible.

Yes, thank you for saying this. It took me about 25 years before someone helped me realize that just because my 13 year-old body responded to the sexual feelings, it was not my fault, and the adult was entirely to blame, not me. That was a big weight lifted from my psyche.

When I was molested, I was young in first grade, and I had problems because the boys were 12 or 13, and we were playing in my mind having fun. When it was found out by my parents, I got beaten and called everything from f@**et to q***r. That was the day my life as a human in my parent's house ended. You know, because obviously a 6-year-old understands what is going on. On top of being sexualized, as my counselor put it at such a young age, the rest of my younger years was hell. I left home for good when I was 16 years old.

Bs. There are many women in the comments. And if not, then this small comment section not the representative of the entire female population. And so many women speak and bring up the case male sexual abuse (by men or women) and male sex trafficking. And it's mostly men who comment "he enjoyed it" or "he was having a time of his life" when a case of male being r 8Aped or molested, especially by a woman, comes up. Or they comment "gay" and even worse things when the perpetrator is male. And you, a man, obviously know how horrible most straight men treat and view gay men. Women always have had more empathy than men, for victims of any gender. What you said is pure bs.

Good explanation. One thought I had. Victims might enjoy sexual abuse; they’ve been ‘groomed’. When questioning an alleged victim, this must be taken, gently, in the questioning. (Retired from Warren Co., Ohio Children’s Services (investigations).

I know it's not the point, but Taylor is super cute.
I have known several guys who identify as at the least "predominantly heterosexual" who were coerced/kept in situations and relationships with men who used safety/shelter/food/drugs and a general lifestyle of monetary tethering to hold control over them. Some guys didn't even know that was what was going on until they're out of it. It leaves alot of guys broken and stumbling through life.

I could give you an example in the form of a movie that was so well-made, and well-acted and it shows what really goes on; it's a drug-addict mother who pimps out, or trafficks, her 13-year-old-son for sex; the boy doesn't want to do it, but is forced to anyway so they can pay the bills and so the mother can continue getting her drug fix; the movie is titled 'Jet Boy' and it's here on UA-cam, it stars 13-year-old Brendan Nadon. And by the way, the movie was filmed in 2001.

@@dg1006 I know all about it; I was almost a victim when I was 14; a strange man tried to abduct me off the streets of Robinson, IL while I was visiting there for the Christmas holidays in 1998. Thankfully, i ran away, but I found out who the culprit was 21 years later while doing research on this very topic, to find out that he had victimized two other boys. Despite the fact that he's in jail for life, i still went ahead and pressed charges.
