- Jackson Wang is Hong Kong-born rapper, dancer, and producer who found fame as a member of the K-pop group Got7. But that hasn't stopped him from pursuing his solo ambitions. With a new album on the horizon in 2019, Wang sits down with MTV News to talk about his childhood ambitions, working on his solo music, and his 'Journey To The West.'

Iv’e never seen someone being so thanksful over the Korean Industry and his fans really, the pressure and tiring days you spend everytime became your strenght and cheer you up. I'm not a GOT7 fan, but when I first listened to all of his single songs on iTunes (cuz that's how I found out about him really), I became enthralled by his music, his PASSION for what he does, and he moves me in ways I can't begin to explain. I now became a 'Team Wang' fan and will forever be one in my truest of 'heart of hearts'. His vision on his future music career right now...this is just the beginning of where I see him as, where I foresee him going w/it. To ME, he's already successful in his own right. He doesn't need to prove to people or anyone what he can do or who he is. That's one of the reasons why I admire and respect him SO MUCH. His music and talent speaks for itself. That alone doesn't come by very often, much less become successful in such a fast amount of time. To see his music soar to new heights just makes me so PROUD to be a part of what I call the 'Team Wang Wave' of success. I didn't jump on the bandwagon like what ppl may think. Ohhhh no...Jackson is a special kind of music artist that only comes around once in a lifetime.
