Nope. I don’t blame the Palestinians for rejecting/not accepting Olmert’s proposition since he was already under indictment and there was rivalry across negotiation tracks. But Olmert agreed that an international force rather than the IDF would be stationed in Palestine as Mahmoud Abbas proposed. On refugees, his 5,000 number is misleading-in more advanced stages of negotiations, Haim Ramon revealed Olmert was willing for Israel to accept 100,000. On land, he was willing for Israel to drop to 5% land swap but then time ran out. Olmert made a very forthcoming and reasonable offer that was within the zone of possible agreement. The problem wasn’t that Palestinians accepted/rejected it but simply that political time ran out.

Secondly Netanyahu doesn’t want a 2 state solution and indirectly funded hamas to be a barrier to that, to use hamas as an excuse, a leaked video even shows him saying that Israel needs to fund hamas
