I love coming back to these old videos and seeing the comments :) Tombstone was my bot, and in this match facing off against Super Mega we were at a paid show - not a competition. We weren't bringing our "A" game so to speak. For this time period these were the two biggest hitters in the SHW class, and I think our record was about even between the two. Current heavyweights would probably dominate either bot today, and comparisons to RW era bots is meaningless. This sport evolves fast folks!
Is that the one and only Ray Billings! Winner of one giant nut!oh and congrats on that win with gigabite! Wow amazing I have a toy battle not tombstone.
@@KUTProductions yep I watched the fight against rotator and tombstone is sometimes too powerful for its own good. I need to watch the deepsix fight. i heard that one had crazy damage to the floor.
@MullinPerformance I've sort of given up on playing in the SHW class. It really is pretty much dead at this point. The HW class seems to be where all of the action is at now, and where most of the development is happening. For now I am going to concentrate on our HW Last Rites, and our MW Mortician. Interestingly, Mortician has almost the same kinetic energy numbers as Tombstone did :)
I’d love to know the kinetic numbers of the new Tombstone. Absolute monster of a robot. If that middleweight was almost pulling the same numbers as a super heavyweight 7 years ago you’d have to think the new (2018) Tombstone is twice if not three times as powerful. How the game moves on...
Ziggo was a 60lb lightweight. These are 340lb super heavyweights. The spinning bar on Tombstone probably weighs more than all of Ziggo. It wouldn't even be close.
Tombstone es de los mejores en battlebot sub en 2015 y campeón en 2016, pero no sabia que había empezado desde abajo que le tumben una llanta o que le rompan la hélice, eso no se ve en tv.
Holy shit Super Megabyte is strong! Perhaps it is even stronger than the Gigabyte in BattleBots we know today! I want to see how it would deal with today's robots.
Wow where is this super spinner at now the spinners of today dont even seem as good as this one! The spin just keeps spinning! Today spinners dont even get up to speed as fast as this one.
SlayerGaming_TV Ray has used several names for his robots as he also has had multiple weight class versions. Last rites at this time was his heavyweight contender. Tombstone is his Super Heavyweight in this match.
@DarkAltiar To be honest with ya, any KE weapons should have been banned before the use of lexan box's. The crowd would sit 2ft away getting chunks of metal throwed at them. Hell they didnt even put a top on the box until Nightmare broke a tooth off and threw it over the top of the box.
@ray9368 That's cool. It doesn't suprise me the way the economy is, bigger tends to be more expensive. Every year I keep telling myself I want to build a MW but I have too many hobbies now anyway. I been watching robot combat since the Battlebot days..
Does anyone know if tombstone is coming back in 2018? I hope he is because I have been with him since the beginning and man is Ray a good driver. Amazing. I just love watching him kick butt.

Ray Billings with newer tombstone models how do the wheels not get torn off?
tomorrow vs gigabyte`````
What a fight tombstone you tor off the shell
I love all the comments on here 7 years later. Also, you said Tombstone _was_ your bot? Who's is it now? XD
Is that the one and only Ray Billings! Winner of one giant nut!oh and congrats on that win with gigabite! Wow amazing I have a toy battle not tombstone.
Hard to think that Tombstone went from this, to the most feared bot in the competition
lipo battery density is a hell of a thing.
@@OneMouseGaming Tombstone's weakness even today is any ~45 degree surface.

I know right
He was one of the most feared bots in the competition, just like Last Rites, before it became the tombstone we know now lol.

Ray Billings nice tombstone
Tried to put Tombstone to the grave - didn't work ; he's already there!
are you actually ray billings? wow if you are not offence, but I do not like tombestone

loser
Very old rare footage. You don't see tombstone loose very often at all. I've always been impressed by tombstone. Great robot and great driver.
Ola, soy Dora!
*LOOSE CHANGE, LOOSE SCREWS, LOOSE RANGE, AND LOOSE TOOLS, TOMBSTONE LEVELED-UP AFTER THIS.*
Unfortunately it seems that tombstone isn't doing that well recent season tho
It’s because Tombstone got a ground up redesign and the new frame has some quirks the original frame didn’t have.
Tombstone is literally the bot that never gave up
Watching this in 2022 and I have mixed emotions
SMB's shape and spin nullifies Tombstone's spinning blade. Pretty impressive design.
Wait until you see how Tombstone dealt with that "nullification" :) Although partly due to Gigabyte not being a SHW
Rennie Ash more due to using crappy components
I love how neither 'bots spinners ever stop lol. so much power.
This was before Gigabytes were invented
It was megabite.. now it is gigabite...
Next it would be terabyte
Ziggo was a 60lb lightweight. These are 340lb super heavyweights. The spinning bar on Tombstone probably weighs more than all of Ziggo. It wouldn't even be close.

@DarkAltiar Really Blendo was the first true spinner. You might know the designer, Jamie Hynamen from Mythbusters...
Holy shit Super Megabyte is strong! Perhaps it is even stronger than the Gigabyte in BattleBots we know today! I want to see how it would deal with today's robots.
Who here 2018
Tombstone is once again, the serial killer of......ROBOTS
tombstone v 1.0
more like tombstone v 0.2
Old tombstone vs new tombstone would be cool same thing with gigabyte
I want to see a bot with fake wheels, lose all four wheels. Also, a bot that sheds fake armor half way to expose some hidden weapon or something.
The tallest twin towers on earth…
That hurt
Tombstone should be undefeated in this new season
Ana Tavares ...............wasnt it over by the time you made this comment
Yes Last Rites was built new by the same team, team Hardcore Robotics
Took his wheel off like a tricycle
Tombstone and megabyte have a wicked rivalry they are the robot versions of goku and vegeta
D Bb so does sewersnake just not exist here?
Wow where is this super spinner at now the spinners of today dont even seem as good as this one! The spin just keeps spinning! Today spinners dont even get up to speed as fast as this one.
Its actually called "Last Rites" outside of battlebots.
SlayerGaming_TV Ray has used several names for his robots as he also has had multiple weight class versions. Last rites at this time was his heavyweight contender. Tombstone is his Super Heavyweight in this match.
Thomas Hodo plus this was made in 2007
@@ow5929 And originally recorded in 2004

If RDC wouldn't have been cheated by Chinese manufacturers the fight in BB could have been this close, or even closer.
ITS BEYBLAAAAAAAAAAAAAADE LOL
@Powershade117 Razer has slipped behind in the evolution of robot games. Expect the same kind of fight like biohazard vs megabyte.
Mechavrore there are modern spiritual successors though, like petunia and sawblaze
Revi M Fadli - Google Spectre. That is the true successor to Razer.
I'm gonna build a super megabyte and take over the world. That think will probably even blow a tank to pieces.
Robot combat is way older than I thought
It’s actually been around since the late 90’s
@GameMaster255 Ofc. he went for the wheel. It's called finding weaknesses - and use them.
Its funny cuz both of the bots are blowing the dust away
@ray9368 That's cool. It doesn't suprise me the way the economy is, bigger tends to be more expensive. Every year I keep telling myself I want to build a MW but I have too many hobbies now anyway. I been watching robot combat since the Battlebot days..
Battlebots is back now.
i like how super megabyte seems to glide on the floor =D
This comment is as old as me, if not, older.
So ur like 15
@@Steampunk659 14.
It doesn;t always win, a good wedge will beat it. But it is very hard. It is a very good robot.
starts at 2:25 saved you some time there:)
norwayownz16 you gotta rare comment don’t change it
2:25
2021😃
I'd like to see Super Megabyte fight Razer
Powershade117 to maul razer to death is a delight
Powershade117 there's a chance it would fight sawblaze and petunia, razer's well armored spiritual successors
Revi M Fadli pussycat
Powershade117 Quantum is Razer’s true spiritual successor
It doesn't start till three minutes in!
@ray9368 Do you have any ideals for a new version of Tombstone. It would be cool to see a slim, almost flat version of it.
King of what
Skip to 2:25 to see the fight start.
tombstone looks just like last rites only a bit different
No
I know Ray, and he told me he scrapped it
And built Last Rites new
Are these robots even sweeping up the arena as they fight?
wish he had..
2021..wow
does super megabyte ever lose? it all ways wins? ???? ...... it must be that good.
@unknownkingdom
Battle starts at 2:26
tombstone a knock off version of shinsplitter?
Does anyone know if tombstone is coming back in 2018? I hope he is because I have been with him since the beginning and man is Ray a good driver. Amazing. I just love watching him kick butt.
He is!
And he's defeated:-(
@GameMaster255 Ohhh... Makes sense now! :D
Ya he wins a lot but also losses
You could have edited this just to show the fight you know...
Just biteforce
LOL 10 years old wtf😂😂😂 why?!?! LOL thats fucking old video!😂😂😂
I bet SMB could easily take out the new tombstone and icewave in the new battlebots.
If I put wheels on my dads old Nokia phone bet it would win battle bots
Make a robot out of steel beams, drakes mixtape, and a nokia plastic shell
Watch the world shake!!
If only they were in the new series.
Sedrin Novastar tombstone is
Roswell Night i meant super mega byte. Or any of the other full body spinners.
Is Tombstone and Last Rites the same machine?
I Want to Buy a Kitten yes, sorry for the EXTREMELY late reply
@@ow5929 No, they are two separate bots in two separate weight classes, but they are both made by Ray Billings.
wow
tombstone太酷了
Ha ha
@bohrokthunder Get it? Tombstone, R.I.P. off! hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Bootleg recorded on a cheap ass video camera no doubt.
Scooter George I mean, this is 2004 we’re talking about.
@@Romax-pg2is - When you're as old as I am, 2004 is recent! Or seems like it... ; )
