A GREAT song with two excellent singers. What a great steel guitar break. There is no question that Jake Hooker and Curtis Potter love country music. Keep playing it country.
With all respect to Mr. Price, this is my favorite version of Another Bridge To Burn. Jake and the band are so smooth and Mr. Potter punctuates the song so perfectly. I saw Mr. Potter perform many times, and wish I could see him just one more time. His passing left a big hole in my music heart. Rest In Peace Curtis Potter.
first issued as: 2003, Jake Hooker & The Outsiders with Curtis Potter, Southland Records, Arlington, Tex, USA, # SR-7724, CD, Album ''Live Set Two'', Track # 18, recorded live at Southern Junction, Royse City, Tex, 26 Apr 2002
Curtis has one of those voices that you can listen to all night long and then make you want to come back the next night. Jake has one of those voices as well....and both of these marvelous singers play "bass guitar" and at level that only masters of their craft can play.
"Shannon's notes" notwithstanding, that is Mr Price. My information comes first hand from one of the other musicians present at that performance. In any case, Rick's sound is unique and readily identifiable.
@@ckuehncnwhsyt I went to the live album, it clearly states Gary Carpenter. Oh well it is not worth a disagreement with someone who loves good Texas Country Music. I will say I miss Bobby Flores.
Two people can do this song. Ray price is the other. Absolutely love your bass line to this . If you ever play anywhere close to SW Virginia I'll definitely be there.
First time i saw Jake hooker was in cuero tx girl i was dating asked me to be there got off the drilling rig and made a tornado in south Texas getting cleaned up and making it there on time to see him. Wow was worth it although i haven't seen her since it was worth it. Keep on Jake
Electric or Upright bass both sound good. I also like hearing a natural vibrato. Not a fan when its too pronounced. Goats dont sing. With that being said I'm still a fan of Jake hookers music

Wow! Great music!
Rock on Jake Hooker💖🌹
This was recorded when it was Gary Carpenter pedalling. You can tell him laying on the E9 neck.
From Shannon's notes. God bless my Bear. I miss you.
Except this recording is Rick Price.
@@ckuehncnwhsyt except we were both wrong, should have read Shannon's notes more closely. Gary Carpenter on P/S.
