    You being a PG a professional and scratch golfer any club will feel good you could cut down a hockey stick and still hit the ball solid. Us 15 to 20 handicappers can't relate to the same experience

    love the looks of that 9i. Inviting is the right word. Big blade height (just like my i525). Minimal offset too. Almost a wedge size!

    Hey Alex, you are one of my favorite UA-camrs and I always look forward to your videos. Some things that you didn't mention that you should mention when reviewing irons is are these hollow injected irons like the P790? There is a black dot in the toe which makes me think they are. Another thing you didn't mention is what is the 5 iron loft? These days some 5 irons are 27 degrees and others are 24 degrees which is actually a 1/2 inch short 4 iron. In future videos can you let us know complete specs and types. I know I can look it up but if you include that info it would just make all of our lives easier. I would have to say high penetrating ball flight is more to do with shaft. They sound amazing because they come with great shaft options but I. Hold never buy them because I play X100 Tour Issue and if I can't get those I won't buy the club because that is what I play and I don't want to change. Most of my life I have played forged muscle cavity irons. In 2012 when I got my last irons I spent 6 months testing and surprisingly ended up in Titleist 712 MB's. I don't find them that unforgiving. You also keep pushing light fast shafts. I hate those. I like heavy shafts. It helps my tempo and helps me feel where the club is during the swing. I think most golfers would benefit more from heavier shafts rather than light shafts. I know 125 isn't light but just saying to counter you talk about light shafts. When I got my most recent Titleist driver, 3 wood and 5 wood I was talked into 60 grams in my driver and 70gram shafts in my 3 and 5 woods. I really do t care for them but have not had the opportunity to change them out yet as I have not played that much golf in a few years. When I do get new clubs I'm going to get 70 in my driver, 80 in my 3 wood, and 90 in my 5 wood and never listen to anyone again. I also play my driver at 44.5", my 3 wood at 42.5" and my 5 wood at 42" and I'm only 5'7" and 140 lbs. it sure what that is in stones. Anyway, you do a great job with the videos. Try to pin a comment with the 5 iron spec so we know. Thanks Alex.

    Keeping them quiet? Haha I’ve had 15 emails from vice in the last 5 weeks about these irons just because I bought golf balls off their website 3 years ago and I haven’t unsubscribed.
    The price will need to drop more towards Takomo/Maltby prices or these don’t stand a chance in my opinion. Directly to consumer prices can’t be $1000 usd without being able to try them or get fitted for them in store. Just my opinion as a golf gear nerd.

    The problem is that these clubs aren't a fraction of the cost of comparable competitors. These are suffering from the same problem as the putters.
    Vice made their name selling balls that performed the same as a pro v1 at half the price when bought in bulk (not half the price anymore). The new vice putters are comparable to huntington beach putters, but for more money. These irons look like they will be comparable to the name brand clubs, but not the high end offerings from those brands. They will be comparable or worse than the other brands $1200 offerings, at the same cost.
    Meanwhile, you have manufactures like Takomo that are coming in at a fraction of the cost and basically following the business model that put Vice on the map.
    I understand trying to grow the business, but I feel like Vice will alienate too many of its current customers and won't be able to bring in enough of the customers willing to spend this price for their clubs and not have the mizuno, titleist, cobra, callaway, taylor made, etc branding.

  • @tag_76

    The only issue I see is that Vice is known as a DTC with their balls, but these irons are priced like all the big brands BUT they are still a DTC company. Poor executive decision making.

    • @justinkoons8782
      @justinkoons8782 3 місяці тому

      They originally were. Their balls can be found in Walmart now and these clubs are also available to be tested and fitted at Club Champion. They seem to be slowly leaving the DTC space but no advertising it as much.

    • @dustinroberson1865
      @dustinroberson1865 3 місяці тому

      @@justinkoons8782 Hopefully they have a lot of new consumers lined up, because most of their current customers were there in the beginning because of the cost to quality ratio. Now it seems as those two things have flipped. I can buy forged clubs from the top manufactures with tungsten weighting in the toe and heel and any option in club shaft for about the same price as these forged irons. What makes them worth what they are? In my eyes, it looks like they put less tech and pricey materials in than other manufactures, but are offering at the same price

      I feel like they could compete at the $800 range but I agree the price is a little steep for DTC. But it does have a lot of cool shaft options which is almost worth it for some flair in my opinion.

      @@calebm2161The only shafts they offer without paying for upgrades is the one shaft, in three different weights. 4-PW is $1154.93 USD and that’s before shipping and taxes. These will be a very tough purchase at that price.
