    Micheal, I've always liked your videos but this series is excellent. It reinforces the fact that we're all pretty much in the same boat. We're all just trying to muddle our way through life. I'm 55 and I'm still trying to figure it out. Boogie, you're amazing and I wish I could meet you and sit and talk. Your message is powerful and I love knowing that you're getting more content and at peace with your life. You have so much to share. You're definitely inspiring to so many of us. Thanks for this video. Loved it.

    wow this is a great introduction to Boogie - he seems like a wonderful person. I was raised by parents who really looked down on fat/overweight people (and still do today), and I had to learn how to push out that negative influence to accept my insecurities about my weight, and on others. Its a struggle, but seeing this conversation and hearing his story gives me more hope. thank you so much!

    Love this interview Buck!! It's so disheartening to hear all that Boogie has had to gone through, but his positivity and character really shines through everything he does. Boogie, I hope you realize how inspiring you are and know that your fans love you and support you 100%. Love you both :-)

    This is my has been my favorite one. Not that it's any better than your others, they are all terrific. My story is very similar to his, including loosing my best friend, the one that helped "save me". Growing up over weight, abuse at home ( mine was more verbal, but my being a girl didn't always save me from the physical), anxiety, depression, suicide. All of it. And like Boogie, I try to share my story to help others. I don't have a UA-cam channel to share it, but I am so glad someone like him does. You're an inspiration, Boogie. & Buck you're an amazing interviewer, it's a big part of why I love these. You ask great questions and let people answer. Thank you both for this video.

    Buck, this is your calling. You make the superficial, celebrity, etc. stuff work as an entertainer, but I think this (I don't want to say 'serious') stuff is where you really shine.
    You are very wise and I think it would be a shame if you didn't share your gifts more.

    I am struggling a lot recently, with trying to work off my fat and negativity among other things. I stopped working out 'cause I have no motivation. Boogie is literally like the dad that says "You don't want to be me, learn from my mistakes ... I'm fixing me now, so should you." This video has finally shoved it in my face. What Boogie's been through ... I need to do more.
    I know this is entirely random, but thank you so much Michael (and you too Boog), for helping me fully realize this. Here's to fixing what we find to be so hard and impossible!

  • @LotusLove71
    @LotusLove71 8 років тому +2

    I love you both for being so genuine and kind. This series and the direction you're taking this channel is awesome! This is what I say when it comes to anyone who is ignorant enough to believe that because a person is overweight that it is because they are weak, lazy, stupid, or have no self-control. Ask yourself if you view those who use cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, sex, or anything else used to cope on a regular basis, the same way. Yet these are all things not needed to live every day. It's a much more difficult battle for something that can never be given up. Yes, better choices can be made, but it's not like other things since you must eat. It's amazing how often people seem so genuinely perplexed, even disgusted, about why you just don't lose the weight already, like it's easy to just do. Yet, they have empathy for these other things and how hard they are to conquer. Think about it, can an alcoholic, smoker or drug addict use only occasionally to control their habit? No, because they're an addict for a reason, and one time is all it takes to be right back into it, but we're the weak ones? No, we have to be so much stronger than someone who can go cold turkey on their habit since eating is not a choice. Food is also in our faces 24/7, in advertising, and a fast food joint on every corner. Health is a concern, but judgmental people are being disingenuous when trying to claim that's the reason for looking down their noses at us when they just don't want to see the weight. It's so sad that the real reason is because weight affects the body and looks, which are the most superficial aspects of a person, and why it is the most acceptable thing to be judged. How messed up and shallow is that?

    This video made me feel really good, thanks for making it both of you. Hearing Boogie talk about this stuff especifically is really the first person I've heard that has had a similar situation right down to some specific points to me, which I wont go into but I just wanted to say how much content like this really does matter and impact people like me. It makes me feel that tiny bit of motivation to try and work myself out of the hole I'm in a bit harder. I don't want to use you as some tragic motivational story and hope I don't sound that way, I just relate to your experiences and take some courage in that. Hope you both had a great VidCon.

      I don't really watch gaming either but I have been subscribed to Boogie for a couple of years now. He's a wonderful person, and I love to listen/watch him as a person. His channel isn't only about gaming, he has a variety of videos that he makes. My favourite videos of his are his "rambling" series where he just talks about how his life has been going, which can include stuff about his weight loss journey, his wife, events of the week and other things that are interesting to him. He is just a really smart, friendly, kind person, and very honest to his viewers it is very refreshing. So if you like him, I would say to at least check out his rambling series and see how you like his own content.
      Sorry for the long message, I always aim to write something short but can never be concise.

    Let me say something about this guy boogie2988..... HE IS AWESOME. I never would have come across him if not for the evil Fat People video Nicole Arbour released. His response video was spot on. It was the top response that came up when I searched for reactions. I am not a gamer, I do not watch any video game videos but I will watch boogie2988 when he is being REAL. His struggles ARE REALS and he has such grace when he is handling the trolls and evil comments. I love my Charles Trippy and Steve Zaragoza but this just moved to my fav Struggles video top spot.
