@@livetotell100 Maybe not young fans but I grew up in the 70s and 80s in PA. This game was a huge rivalry. Many times the road to the natty champ went through this game. Who is PSU's rival then? Not OSU or UM.
+gymman1031 "Better Head Coach"? *HE HAD PAUL HACKETT, A FREAKING OFFENSIVE GENIUS*........As a OC. ;-D I agree with you, firing Gottfried was a horrid idea on Pitt's part.
Looks to me like Richie Anderson ran the ball down Pitt's throats all day. And Fayak had a banner day. Some sloppy mistakes on the fumbles. But PSU's "D" makes up for that with Bonner's INT's. Van Pelt made some nice throws, but Penn State, as usual, is too much for Pitt.
Pitt was so poorly coached under Hackett. Pitt killed its football program for academics and result the rest of the decade after this game was 23 wins in the next eight years.
You make zero sense. Who did Sandusky tickle after this game? JoePa must have looked the other way like he always did. One negative to the polio vaccine invented at Pitt: it allowed you to be born. 42-39!
like how u put in the caption "LESSON 1 never line drive a punt to OJ McDuffie"....but on the very next punt Pitt line drived it to him and he coughed it up for a turnover!! huh?? Hail to Pitt!! we shut u guys out my senior year (the last meeting in 2000)
Hilarious, the only games I guess that matter are when PSU has a good team and beats Pitt. Penn State has had plenty of mediocre teams over the years. I'm just glad Pitt prevented PSU from making the playoffs last season. How does that still taste?
This game was actually on Thanksgiving day and went head to head with Bears/Lions
I remember going to this game on Thanksgiving day. It started really early, like 11:30 AM.
Should have renovated Pitt Stadium rather than tearing it down. NO College atmosphere at Heinz Field.
Blame Steve Pederson for that. One of the many things he did to fuck up Pitt.
really miss this rivalry, wasnt happy when Penn St joined Big 10.
the rivalry isn't one anymore. Penn State will win 9 out out of 10, every time.
@@livetotell100that's bullocks. Play the games and find out.
@@TheCanningite Penn State played Pitt 4 times recently. Won 3 out of 4. It may still be a rivalry for Pitt fans but not for most PSU fans.

Game ball to the kicker
Wish Pitt still used this logo, colors and uniforms. The ones worn by Marino, Hugh Green and the great Tony Dorsett.
Yes on the logo but not these late 80s early 90s canary/bright yellow colors. Give me caterpillar or mustard 8 days a week!
Great editing !!!!!

Is Van Peldt colorblind?
Jerkoff!

Man Pitt was a joke in the early to mid 90s in football
48-14

No head coach in college football history did so little with so much talent than Paul "pass pass pass" Hackett.

Who is that little kid standing next to Sandusky?
