I feel the same way. tats why I own so much of their merchandise and every vinyl record! they're so damn good I feel I have to support them as much as their music has supported me over all these years! they have tired with some of the biggest names in rock and roll, which tells me they are appreciated, its just so weird they never caught on.
In 2009, Help I’m Alive played in Tower Records and I had the same visceral physiological reaction to that song that I did the first time I heard Nirvana on the album Nevermind and the song nevermind no less…. My blonde little hairs on my forearms stick straight up I feel a tingling in the top part of my neck which flows all the way to the shoulders on each side, good tingling, feeling in at that moment, I knew music and change for me four times!! I made a beeline to the counter and interrupted a sale and said,”WHO IS THIS!!?!” Same exact words. I used at a party in college, but I heard about it the first time … loved Fantasies, Synthetica but in 2016,, Pagans in Vegas, was highly disappointing to me. But The Shade, Governess and lie lie lie (barely) salvaged it. But then!!?!! The Art of Doubt, followed by Formentara! Hellz bellz Adele!

Wow! What a song! I love how, when listening to Metrics music makes me feel, it makes me feel happy, I can feel love and joy at the same time. I love them soooo much. I was fortunate enough to have met Emily & Jimmy on the airplane & again at the airport parking lot later that same day after our flight, on our way to Mexico City, in November 2023, where they performed Formentera ll tour. They are sooo very cool, nice and awesome folks, a class act in my opinion. Their Mexico City show was outstanding. I hope to see them again soon.
Great video, excellent quality & sound, what a great song from Metric, I seen them on Oct. 17th at the Fillmore in Minneapolis& was blown away with the show. There's nothing like Emily's voice, so unique & pure.

Emily, is me muse since 2009, in Tower Records in Chicago and "Help, I'm Alive," grabbed me as I was falling down, had taken Morpheus' offer of steak and the blue pill, bc life was so painful...but I was alive still looking for music...Help I'm Alive, and ever since...saw her and Metric recently, numerous times in between...but NEVER like this! She gives me hope, Emily, was all solid thick beautiful thighs, lol, jumping around stage, full of health and life, like I've never seen her before....I hope my last rope holds but, if not me thighs ate pretty strong too and I intend to get enough of the most important things I've learned in this well, as well as before I dived in, to help those with similar pains so that maybe, there is one memory that can pause someone to think, "THIS!, This is what that crazy ol bitch was talking about! And then simply, write that twist or transition in their own life story to avoid all the unnecessary pain...Much love, gotta go soon. Xo
