You will see how to set up your loom, read your loom pattern, add the beads and finish off your bracelet. An adjustable chain clasp makes this a great gift and with our refill kits there is no added bulk of an additional loom and glue; just the thread, beads, clasp, and pattern so you can make all your favorite styles.

    These are very pretty. Thinking I might see if I could make something like this using an Alpha Knot or chevron knots for the pattern.
    I am a bit surprised that you worked the warp threads from one side, instead of working them from the center. Granted, everyone makes bracelets differently and I understand that. I guess it just seemed a little odd to me.

    A couple questions for fellow bead loomers from a beginner. I've seen equal numbers of people that work from the bottom of their pattern up and from the top down. I am thinking i'd like to start at the bottom. Is that ok? Also i'm a lefty and blind in my right eye. Is it ok to tie the working thread on the right and just go in reverse or should i really stick to doing everything from left to right? Thank youuuuu :-)

    I love these looms but they do snap in the center easily.... I am now on my third one. This one is lasting longer, so far, because I laid a piece of duck tape lengthwise between the holes, and then another piece of duct tape completely around the center. So far, I have used it several times and it's still not broken.

    I am using 11-0 seed beads. I am also using a beading needle and I am having a lot of trouble getting the needle to go back through the beads on top of the weft threads. It’s like the head of the needle gets stuck. Any suggestions, do I need a smaller needle?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  4 роки тому

      It does sound like your needle might be a little too big. The Jewel Loom that we demonstrate in this video comes with a needle that's 0.46 mm (0.18 in) thick, and we've used that for many 11/0 loom projects. If what you're using is bigger than that you can pick up a pack of those needles from us here: beadaholique.com/products/beadalon-jewel-loom-needles-3-125-8cm-long-6-pieces

    U and ur team does beautiful work and am definitely a fan! However I have a couple questions I have lots of different TOHO beads and I wanted to know if u make this bracelet many many times can u use some Toho’s instead of Delicas on any of the patterns by beadaholic? Also can u purchase just the patterns made by beadaholic?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  4 роки тому

      Thanks for watching! You can certainly use Toho beads instead of delicas. Just keep in mind that they are slightly different shapes. Unfortunately, the patterns are only available with purchase of the kit.

  • @j.m.england6828

    Hi, thanks for this very helpful tutorial, but i'm curious , how can we know exactly on where to start the beading rows, meaning exactly how far down before starting the very first bead row? Also when tying on new thread, why do you have to go thru so many beads?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  4 роки тому

      Hi Melody, thanks for watching! The pattern we using will give you a little less than 6 inches of beadwork, so if you like you can measure that out after you've strung your loom and figure out where to start your rows so that the finished beadwork has plenty of space. These looms are pretty forgiving though, so you can eyeball it too, just space your starting row far enough way from the end that your hands can work comfortably and you should be fine.
      As for tying on new thread, it's really up to you how many you go through. New beaders are sometimes very nervous about this step and want to make sure it's secure, so we like to show that there's no harm in going through a lot of beads and making a throughly secure knot. A few beads will do. Trust your hands, once it feels secure you can move on.

      @@beadaholique Hello, thanks for the quick & helpful reply, i hope this message finds you healthy, i recently got my purple loom to bead on, i'm getting anxious, i put that wire on & now i can't get it off, do you have any suggestions on this?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  4 роки тому

      Oh no, that sounds so frustrating. What I'm going to suggest is that you wait a few days before trying take it out again. When the loom is new the plastic is at its springiest so there's a lot of tension. Let it sit for now and go ahead and make a loom project on it if the urge strikes you. While the instructions recommend removing the bar after you've strung the loom we've never found this to be a necessary step. Later, once the loom has had a chance to loosen up a bit, and you've had a chance to get to to know the way it flexes, try taking it out again. It probably just needs a bit more force then feels comfortable right now. Once you've worked with the loom you'll have a better feel for how much it can flex and you should be able to get it out.

    I’ve noticed that you keep saying that you can extend the length of the beadwork by adding the stripes. My question is can you double pattern on each side of the middle of the bracelet? Instead of just extending the stripes?

    • @alexanderlightwood2100
      @alexanderlightwood2100 4 роки тому

      So you can make something to go around a hat or your making a belt.

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  4 роки тому +1

      Yes you can extend the pattern wherever you like. If you’re an advanced beader it will be easy for you to create that pattern yourself. We say to add to the ends because beginners intermediate have an easier time with that.
