  • Pure understated genius. Here is a great lick built around that famous "chop chord" position. The free tab for this lesson is over at www.bradleylair... All of my other free mandolin lessons can be found at www.bradleylair... Have fun! (Wayne's lick can be heard at 1:18 on "Troubled Mind" on the album "Letter To Home" by IIIrd Tyme Out - Rounder 0333)

Glad I stumbled across your video. Been working on the runs always wondered how these pickers get these runs out. About like a ole G run on guitar!

Thanks, Dennis! Let me confess that it is a little strange talking to a camera and wondering if I am doing anything of value at all. It is not like cracking a joke on stage and hearing the immediate giggles from the audience. In some cases, with this video delivery, I never know if anything "landed" at all. It is like going to your mailbox and finding it empty. Thanks for dropping a letter in the mail.

you are welcome and you are doing a lot of very valuable things when it comes to teaching the mandolin.. I have learned so much from you from these videos and your books, only wished you lived closer..

There is a good possibility that I may have covered something similar. It's hard to remember (no, impossible) things I played on certain video lessons 5 years ago. haha I should do a periodic review of my old stuff. Take care, Brad.
