  • Its all about giving this former New Zealand Police car a well deserved makeover, taking it from a mild mannered Holden Commodore Evoke, to a head-turning, ex-patrol car star!
We tear down the body, lower the suspension, undo some of the Police modifications, fit front and rear bumpers, side skirts and a rear lip spoiler amongst other bits n pieces during this transformation.

I'm not a mechanic or an engineer, I am an ex cop and love the new life you have given, and are giving to these holdens and falcons, both of which are now retired and replaced. The holden commodores (evokes, Sv6's etc.) may not have been the most beautifully put together vehicles ever made, but I remember working the frontline and they were the only brand and models that could take the daily punishment of hardcore frontline policing. Everything else we used or tried, tended to fall apart pretty quickly. Additive videos mate, keep up the good work.

@@cavieman136 Thank you Paul, appreciate your reply. The merger was a huge mistake instituted by Banksie who was Police Minister at the time. Since then, dedicated Traffic Enforcement has declined considerably. I see this everyday on Wellington/Hutt Valley roads. Police did not want the merger at the time and still don't.Good night Paul. Most people that lower these will go super low (sl) on the rear and super super low (ssl) to maintain the wheel arch gaps the same from front to rear. Great job on turning around the evoke, my complaint is that the repair work done to the roof, a bit of silastic and a cap. What a bodge !!!! i would have least filled in the holes and repainted the roof, your so called repair would only degrade your good work and if that car cameon the market for sale and seeing that type of repair, i would give that car a miss and look else ware.

Hey mate, thanks for the feedback. The silastic was just a precaution, as the “cap” was actually a blind grommet or, a solid body plug, which is designed for exactly the repair I used it for. There is no chance of it coming out or leaking. I know some people use filler on these holes, which I would regard as a far worse repair. At the end of the day, is it pretty? Possibly not, but does it do the job of permanently sealing the hole? That’s a big yes. I think the only 100% method is welding, light filler and a repaint. Cheers mate
