Took me a while to figure this out, I figured I'd share. The 'cushion' is the part that touches your face, as well as the plastic it is attached to. The cushion is removable from your head gear by squeezing the plastic part of the cushion, under the top head strap and pulling it away from the plastic part of the head gear. Hope this helps anyone else who is on this video for actual help haha!
Thanks for that. A far simpler explanation than the useless video above. There are written instructions in the handbook but I thought the whole point of the video was to be instructional which it clearly is not! Thanks again.
Thank you for this video, I sat here for over an hour trying to figure it out after I bought a replacement mask. Finally, my son said "MOM just youtube it" and voila. It was so simple ONCE YOU KNEW lol
Thank You For this video I was given the New Replacement Cushion and the wax it! Nobody showed me how to change it or anything about it! So I decided someone had to have a UA-cam video ! So with that being said I want personal Thank You for this!
The centerpiece *looks like* it's molded to the plastic frame, as though it were a single piece of clear plastic. It's not. By squeezing and pulling/easing the centerpiece off, it can be removed and then fairly easily replaced. I spent a long time trying to figure this out. The video does not make this clear. Good luck!
Thanks for asking! You can find instructions in your user guide or watch our video showing how to properly clean the AirTouch F20 mask here: bit.ly/3RCZSre
Hi Mario, Each component will need to be replaced at different intervals. Your cushion or pillows should be replaced monthly, your frame should be replaced every 3 months and your headgear should be replaced every 6 months. For more information, check our page here: www.resmed.com/en-us/sleep-apnea/cpap-parts-support/cpap-supplies-replacement-parts/
Hi Sandy, Please do not remove the memory foam (AirTouch) or silicone lining (AirFit) from the cushion section of your mask. As shown in the video, if you're switching from an AirFit to an AirTouch mask, simply pull the cushion section of your AirFit F20 from the headgear and connect the AirTouch cushion until it clicks into place. Further instructions can be found in your AirTouch F20 user guide here: www.resmed.com/us/dam/documents/products/Mask/airtouch-f20/user-guide/airfit-airtouch-f20_user-guide_amer_eng.pdf
To remove the cushion from the frame, with one hand hold the frame between the straps where it touches the cushion. Then, grasp the cushion with your thumb hooked around the little notch between the straps and gently but firmly pull the cushion away from the frame. The mask is meant to be airtight so this may require a bit of a tug to come apart. If you need any additional help, please bring your mask to your medical equipment supplier and they can demonstrate this for you in person. Thank you.

For this video

Thank you that's very helpful!
Thanks 😊
is that whole part called the cushion??
I think that whole plastic piece is called the cushion. Which I think is dumb, to me the cushion should be only the soft piece that touch your face.
Why is the original mask w cushion clear plastic versus replacement which is like foam?
The question is how do you get the original cushion off the face mask base?
What you showed is of no value
I think cushion and mask are one unit and don't come apart
It's not rocket science 🤦
The comments where more helpful than the video!

I have this very same mask
How to clean F20 with a SOCLEAN ???
This does NOT show you how to change out the rubbery part if the mask.

The foam cushion is not replaceable. You’re replacing the whole face cover
Totally unhelpful. It doesn’t show how to separate the old cushion or get out the circular part.
This doesn’t show how to do this
The M20 does
This cushion is an absolute piece of overpriced shit , and has all the strength of wet paper .
You needed to make a video about this?
I wanted to make sure I didn't break anything, so it helped me to know for sure it came off this way.
good to see you don’t have to press the cushion to make it “snap” in.
I sure needed the help the first few times I had to replace this. Thank you for the video.
Very helpful
This doesn’t help at all, neither does the instructions it comes with
