    i do agree with your rant. Who's gonna fight for you if every one leaves? You're own fighter, our own supporter. We have to believe in ourselves if every one leaves. It's also good to take a break too because you can use this time to use it as advantage to make a video that will go viral

    I really appreciate your vulnerability! As someone just getting started in this space, it can be really hard to be confident in my content or my worth within the space but your words were really encouraging to me. I’d honestly watch entire videos from you about your experiences as a creator and the ups and downs of that and any tips you have.

    The pressure to post consistently, and also imposter syndrome, are so real and your feelings are very valid. I'm currently on a Bookstagram break because I was burnt out and was feeling the pressure to post "better" content.

    • @BrittanytheBibliophile
      @BrittanytheBibliophile  Рік тому

      Imposter syndrome 🙃 I remember when I told my therapist I thought I suffered from it and she was like “well… why do you think that? I don’t think so.” And it was after a rant about content creation and I was just left feeling like I’d misdiagnosed myself lolol but now it’s been a few years and I can humbly say I think my diagnosis was correct lolol
      And I hope your break helps you see your content more clearly!! Instagram has been such a hassle the last year or so, their algorithm is so messed up and basically everything I’ve seen gets half the likes it used to, from huge creators too. So it’s likely not that you need to post better content, and way more likely that it’s their stupid algorithm, but I still hope you see better results when you feel ready to go back!

    Omg ok i'm not done watching the video yet but i had to come down to the comments immediately to tell you that i LOVED your annotation video! I applied some of the techniques you mentioned in it - specifically the combo of doing underlining and brackets etc. to emphasize different parts of the text - during my last read and it was super satisfying!

    I feel like that annotation video will be a slow burn for you… it was sooo good! I know that the way I watched it didn’t help you or the UA-cam algorithm though. I normally watch videos in the background while I work and I had to pause it and come back later because you had so many tips and tricks. I was 🤏 to sitting down and taking notes 😂 I know a lot of crafting channels get hurt by that watching style because UA-cam wants us sitting down watching videos back to back.

    I can relate so much to your experience being a creator online. I ended up taking this year off my art business because I wasn't able to produce to the level I know Im capable of, which made me really bitter at social media because no one saw my things and it was a whole downward spiral haha. Hey Brittany, I can understand how you must be feeling. For a few months, I have been feeling the same way. I lost all my cats, and I have been feeling disconnected very much. I have not been reading, and nothing excited me that much. So, I've kind of forced myself to pick up a book and start reading, but I've been in the middle of that for so many days now. I don't know the point of this rant, but I guess I'll go and pick it up once more or maybe move on to some lighter read; but yeah, that's kind of the gist. Love ya!

    • @BrittanytheBibliophile
      @BrittanytheBibliophile  Рік тому

      Follow your instincts!! After I lost my cat I didn’t want to finish books I was immensely excited for & it wasn’t until months later when I decided to read a trashy book (that objectively sucked, but was filled with fun tropes) that I started pulling myself out of my reading slump. So don’t force it, just do the things you know will help you feel better and your book will be waiting for you when you’re ready
