It's cold outside. I welcome spring. After December it really gets bitter outside. I will continue to support your shop. Really enjoy the travel journal. Always like a good fair
I liked the part of the travel journal which highlighted the telephone. And calling long distance for free! haha So glad your mom is doing well. Kudos to her for listening to her body and doing something about it at that time!
So glad things went so well for your mom. She is blessed! Also glad you got to go on your trip. Sounds like you needed it. I always love hearing about your farming trips too and about what you did. FYI. I always try to buy from you first and if you don’t have it then I look elsewhere. I love hearing about the travels of your great aunt. So interesting.
Wat a whirlwind of the past 3 months lol! Happy to hear your mom is doin ok n continues to feel better. Excited to see your daughter in her dress🙂 welcome cold December
Good to see you! I wondered where you've been. Glad your mom is doing well. How exciting to be planning for retirement. I retired 5 years ago and I love it! I've enjoyed your readings from your great Aunt's journal. We are in a cold spell here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. ❤️🪡
What a scary situation with your mom! Glad she remained cool, calm, and collected. And, especially glad she recovered so amazingly quickly and you were able to go on the trip. I'm happy for your upcoming retirement but sad for me and other customers. That's great your daughter found a wedding dress almost immediately. Another fascinating entry in your aunt's journal. TFS Take care, Carla!
I too have continually done the ‘math’ and used 80 as my guide and now that 80 is getting closer, it is a harsh reality check! I do appreciate every day though and know that aging is a privilege, but I have SO many things to stitch and do! I better get busy! I welcome hearing from your Great Aunts journal, she was a great writer! December, in my part of Oregon, never got cold, darn it! Wishing you a happy next chapter in your life’s story, I’ll be sticking around though for as long as you keep showing up🥰
Great to see you again. So many plans and events going on for you and your family. So glad your mother is doing well. My symptoms were like your mother’s. How emotional it must be to be sorting inventory and thinking ahead. Loved the reading from the journal. Such a grand experience for them. Thanks for sharing.
So happy every thing is ok with your mom. Also glad you got to go on an amazing trip. The journal is wonder, I really feel her journal allowed us a view into their time. So fun.
Hi, Carla, it was good to see you again. I have missed you. I'm glad your mother is doing so well. I enjoy your reading of your aunt's journal. It's so interesting. I'm happy for your daughter's upcoming wedding. It has been really COLD here this week. We got some snow in DECEMBER. I will WELCOME hot weather anytime. I look forward to your next video.
Glad your mom has recovered so quickly. I will continue to keep her in my prayers. If you think you are busy now, wait till you retire. It's so true what they say. You lose track of what day it is and may even have to mark off the days on the calendar... I have been retired for 5 years going on 6 years this May. It doesn't seem possible. Funny I always used the number 80 years too in comparison to lifetime left. With all the cross-stitch projects I still want to complete, I better move that number 80 up to 400 years...LOL It was snowy and cold in December here in Michigan but hoping Spring isn't too far away. Happy New Year Carla!
I love buying from your shop. I will continue to support your business as long as you decide to run it! Glad you will still do Flosstube and are not quite ready to retire yet! You will know when it is time and it is good to start preparing. Glad your mom is doing so well!
Happy New Year! 🎉🎊🍾🌟May it be the best year for you and yours! Carla, you are the most honorable and honest person I know! There are a few who are not, sad to say. Glad your Mom is doing good. That is very worrisome🙏🏼 Your Aunt’s travel journal is awesome history of the great movers and shakers and builders (of the old world). Absolutely love it! Cold. December. Welcome.
I love and appreciate buying my cross stitch from you! Thank you! But I do understand about getting up there in years and wanting and needing to retire. We adopted our grandgirls🙃It’s been a blessing but also really hard, trying not to make same mistakes the first time around. Sometimes life throws some curve balls, huh?
I am so glad that your mom came through everything so well. That old saying is more true for me every year - "the older I get the faster it goes...". We welcome December when the weather turns cold. The journal entry was so detailed about the fair. Their cost lists crack me up.
What an extremely eventful 3 months. Glad all went well. I do love your aunt’s journal. You will love retirement. And yes, as we are aging, all those thoughts do come into our heads. We do need to do don’t but don’t rush things.
Glad to hear that your mom is ok. We just had an ER trip for my husband with irregular heart beat so I can sympathize with waiting and how hard it can be. We were supposed to fly out to see his parents for Christmas that day and it was a wild ride sending our kids out that day then finding a flight the next day for us. Thankfully they switched medication and he should be ok. Just like you, there was no snow for us in California over Christmas, but we are back now and ready for the cold snowpocalypse that is coming this weekend in Missouri. Love to hear the travel journal, I'll be sad when they return home.
I’m sorry to hear your plans for Retirement…but I sure understand! My daughter is also getting married this year and we had the SAME experience with dress shopping. 3rd dress and she came out of the dressing room GLOWING. It was such a wonderful day. I glad you had a similar experience with your daughter. Happy New Year Carla!🎉
I’ve really enjoyed your great aunts travel journal. She is so detailed! I understand how you feel about your age. I’m going to be 68 this year and I finally feel, mentally, that I’m 68! I’m happy for you that you’re considering retirement at some time. However, I will miss you but I’m hoping you’ll be around for a few more years! 😊
Glad to see you back on FT! December was a busy month, wasn't it??? Yikes! I'm slowly getting back to the daily routine. I'm glad you mother is okay! 🙂
Thank you for being willing to share your cross stitch shop knowledge. I do have a few questions. How do you know how much inventory to have in your shop? Do you recommend just starting out with cross stitch patterns or fabric and floss. Any other tips you can offer for starting out would be so appreciated!
Going to miss hearing the travel journal when its finished. I've really enjoying it. Keep warm and I hope you don't get a winter cold. Take care !

Welcome back! Nice entry about the fair - I am curious about the monkey races, too! Glad your mom is well and you're getting some traveling in.
So happy to hear your mom is doing well, Carla. You’re so lucky to have your parents. Great video! ❤️🌷🌺
It will be cold in NE Texas next week. Enjoy your flosstubes!
