I would like to see where I can drop multiple samples in to sample box on the right hand side and not worry about all of them playing at the same time that really socks. Fade in would be great also. But yeah the sample box should be for you to be able to play different samples not just all at ounce
Why don't you jut set up the impact to be on different outputs and save it as default? You can put in a folder then explode the notes and it will do exactly what logic does.... I figured out that also it does do it in the mixer window without the explode. But if you want it in the track window separated you will need to explode it.
Exploding the pitches to different tracks still keeps them on the same instance of Impact so changing the note's pitch in the Piano Roll will still result in a different sound. Not to mention that once you do explode, if you want to use the Inspector to mix like I do, you still have to route that track to the approproate channel in the console.
@@ImIvanCalderon I understand the pitch thing but if you route the pads to different outputs and save it as the default setting all of the instruments will be on different faders. And when you explode the tracks it will be aligned with the outputs you set.
@@ImIvanCalderon Also you can automate the pitch bend wheel after so that you don't have to make new tracks. Although coming from logic myself I do think it would be nice to just adjust it step wise.
Nice video Ivan ! The fades that you mention in SampleOne & Impact is simply the Sustain and Decay at the Amp envelope. Just drug them slightly and you will see that it is exactly like you apply a fader. I always use them and tweak my kicks and snares and hi hats.
Mojito purpose is to make the TB 303 Acid sound, for Presence i really think Presonus should merge Deep FLight one and Lead Architect into Presence, and have it behave like Arturia analog lab.
Great Video Ivan. Your reviews of the more global aspects of Studio One are much appreciated. I use Impact for drums and Mai Tai for keys the most for the guitar based music that I do. The lead architect plug in is a dumb name for a gee whiz plug in that I think must do something swell, but I just can't find it. I'm interested in trying out the multi instrument and Presence more often after viewing your comments. Thanks again.
as for virtual instruments i use, i bought the ability to use the presence editor for S1v6, though never used it, i use kontakt 7 more because i have a lot of libraries over time that i bought at a very reduced price from cinesamples to sonuscore, etc as for synths, i have arturia's pigments and avenger (all at a reduced price (Audio Plugin Deals/Plugin Boutique) and i also use the free vital synth, all those instruments are more sophisticated than the ones in S1 (but their DAW is one of a kind) that said, halion 7 (steinberg 40Y celebration purchase) is a beast, it has a plethora of engines, sample, phisical modeling, wavetable, granular, spectral, and FM, it also has automatic sampling ability to sample your hardware synths so this €181 S1 upgrade does'nt come close to the power these instruments have cheers mate
I have many 3rd party VST synths, including Falcon. But really , i think (except mojito) , that StudioOne stock VST instruments are really on par sonically with the bought ones. Also i think DeepFlightOne & LeadArchitect are excellent if you want to find a background sound quickly , and play a bit with the small triangle and put the patch in your song. I use it much more than the falcon , and to my ears its sonically the same quality ( although the falcon can have more controls and oscillators and layers).
I love studio one for the mixer, interface, quantizing, etc. I still use it for live band songs and love it for that. It's great for mixing and mastering. But the piano roll is still subpar. All of the included VSTs are bottom of the barrel. Every single one for me is a NEVER use it. Like ever.
Impact XT really does need the ability to drop plugins onto the pads. So many DAWs have this in their drum rack/machine. CV Instrument requires an audio interface that is DC-coupled so you can send signals out to a modular. If your interface does NOT have DC-coupled outputs you can't really use it. I use Mai Tai when working with my singer-friend on collabs; she doesn't have any 3rd party synths. I basically never touch Mojito lol. I think they should have named Lead Architect after another mixed drink and kept to the theme XD Same with Deep Flight One >_> Deep Flight One was definitely a thing for Presence XT; I had it and used it that way on 6. They just rolled it into its own interface vs using Presence XT. I use Studio One's audio effects all the time, though. They're great.
SampleOne is top tier! My question for you is, at 1:39 How did you program your snares to fill in like that in the note editor?? I dont see those settings in my setup.
They need a serious sampler like Logic “Quick sampler” Reasons “Mimic” or Serato sampler. It’s ridiculous we literally have to use a 3rd party sampler like Serato Sampler to chop samples manually.
i love studio one, but the ugrade price is too hefty and too soon, every year €181 (€150+21% tax) for updates and a new version is like a (yearly) subscription to me, while an update from one version of cubase pro to another is €100 (21% tax included) for me (a hobbyist) presonus (fender) made a wrong choice by moving to this format, just like waves did its sad, but i wont be upgrading for that picetag, maybe when there is a coupon day i might cheers Ivan
hmmmm, I just upgraded from SO-5-Artist to SO-7-Pro and I don't see lead architect or deep flight one in my instrument list. I know you aren't Presonus tech support, lol, but any idea why they are missing and how to get them to show up? ;-)
@@montanamaxxamillion sadly not. but even though you tried to be a troll you helped me because I did look in my (fully legal and paid for) Presonus account and I saw the VST in there. I love studio one, but it has the worst instruments of any daw except for reaper. Some of the sounds are fine, but the feel of them is very sterile compared to other synths like Omnisphere or serum, etc.. They also use more CPU than other third-party VST’s. As an example Omnsphere is about half the CPU of most of the patches in Mai Tai. At this point I use all third-party synths anyway so I hope they focus on stability and CPU optimization. Cubase, Logic, and Reaper are much better in both departments.
What do we think of the Studio One VST lineup? What would you like to see in the future?

Mojito also only plays one note at a time if I’m not mistaken. I love some of the wonky sounds it generates. Great for synth bass.

I’m guessing that sample one is getting an update similar to impact, or like Cubase samoler track
Mojito is simple but useful when you need a no frills monosynththat is easy to program
We need the ability to add fades within the samplers brooo!!!!!!
100%. Seems like a simple add-on so hopefully soon! 🤞🏽
@ImIvanCalderon Did you get a chance to check out Apisonic Labs Speedrum? It might replace Impact XT for the time being 👀
Deep Flight One is not a new VST. It's literally Lead Architect. I don't know why they hyped us up with a "new" VST for version 7.

To be fair this list is just your everyday work flow!!! Don’t apply to the next producer!!! Ijs 🤷🏽♂️
..still can't beat logic pro...
All are wack and cheap, i never use any of them.. they better work on core features instead of anemic half backed instrument vst's
I agree.
