Can we just appreciate the owl houses first scene? Starting in a fantasy, landing in a principals office, just to escape into fantasy land, to notice it's not the family friendly fantasy land Luz dreamed of, then still falling in love with this world. Not to mention that some of the most frightening villians could be straight from a children's book, oh wait, one of them actually came out of a childrens book.

yes you are right! even the beginning of the series is great, Luz always dreams of being in a world that is somehow imaginary and full of magic!
