Hey Lubna, I kept laughing in between the video thinking how difficult it would be to you to understand Sanatana Dharma/Hinduism. Since we have grown in it, it is a little bit easy for us to understand the GOD concept. We see GOD in trees, birds, rivers, mountains, humans, animals and everything else. Hence, we can accept any culture and respect them as we do ours. We support you!
16:08 No, the influence of the Manusmriti is overstated, because the British used it when creating law codes for the natives. Tbh, the stagnation of what is called "caste" is a social process, with or without a book. The Smritis are as much a descriptive repository of what was considered ideal, as they are prescriptive... and the stuff in them didn't originate from them, but society at large.
15:50 There is no such hard rule in manusmriti if you read sanskrit and hindi translation but one of the english translation created and popularised by british, in 1874 for doing divide and rule, has that wrong translation. Caste is word is a foreign word which is coined for english of the sanskrit word varna, which actually means job occupation. I agree that due to cultural nepotism birth based varna system did start much before britishers and they just increased existing fault lines. BTW manusmriti actually says: :By birth everyone is born shudra; when the person becomes educated the person becomes brahmin; when a person works as a worrior or in army they become kshatriye; etc. Also when a brahmin person forgets their knowledge and also do not contribute in society they become shudra again."
I glad in this video castism is explained very well..many people thinks 🤔 caste is by birth but in our hindu scriptures caste is that which determined by your action(karma) not birth..❤

You should react on "What is Hinduism, a religion or a way of life?" from the StudyIQ IAS channel. Your Hindi viewers might appreciate it. *Caste system is a English invention.* Vedas talk about Varna system which is flexible. Manusmriti made it rigid but such books are not mandatory for Hindus, no book is btw. Maulanas, Brahmins, Fathers, slaves, Nobles etc such hierarchy and social order existed everywhere due to monarchy and it's not just in Hinduism tbh. *It's the only religion with Female Gods and believes that all religions are equal unlike other faiths.* As an atheist, I'm comfortable with Hinduism and I appreciate it's gift of spirituality and yoga to the world. The ability to Reform is what I appreciate the most. Cheers 🥂
Caste system was there before. Invaders just took advantage of it. Look at caste DNA. It was mixed in until 1800 years ago. Some Brahmin wanted to keep power in his blood. How else could they keep control.
A lot of that ties in with my core beliefs and I'm looking forward to my copy of the Bhagavad Gita, which is arriving today, so that I can learn more. Thanks for your recent post showing the book.😍
Manusmriti is translated very badly by the British. Yes there are based rules in India where people were exploited and but that is not from the scripture. This was occurred due to several years of occupation. But hindus rectified it. British coincided the manusmtrithi with that and communists used it against hindus. India is the only country in the world where slavery was not practiced. There is no world cast but 4 varna. Varna is a universal reality, which means division work based on individual ability, not by birth. Castisum was brought by the Portuguese and British. Yes, we have jatis. Varna is the reality. One country has one President, not everybody aspires to become president. How will the world run if everybody becomes PM, doctor, and engineer? Who will do the activities? It is determined by an individual's vasanas based on the result of their previous deeds. But every individual has no choice of their birth. But what to be after birth is his /her action. Karama= For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction to be experienced by the actor but not by anyone else.
Lubna mam, the area of our country where I live in a mainly a belt of western UP where mostly lord Shiva is worshipped. You should come and visit during the savan month when the worshipers bring the water of the Ganga river, carrying it on their shoulders from Haridwar to their cities and towns to bade the shivling in their temples. You will be surprised to know that this year the number of people who took part in this ritual was over 4 crores. More than the population of many countries. It is just unbelievable to watch that size of people on the roads with DJs playing music. The culmination is on the shivratri day.
Thank you for this video. We owned our flaws. We owned them and tried to rectify them. And today, our Constitution doesn't differentiate between any two people. We are all equal citizens.
No friend. Muslims have special rights privilege funds everything. Constitution differentiates. Because... they have unity in voting. From start they are a vote bank. So they have muslim personal law , state funding of madarssa , wakf board , halal economy , exclusive schools universities etc. And no one dares to touch these provisions. Now as far as hindus go.. Constitutionally there temple funding is confiscated by government. Its given to madarsa molvi pastor etc. Its also utilized by state for other purpose. Its not audited. The temple boards have political people and IAS etc. They can be of any religion. So you can understand where the money is going. And why hindu temples are dirty. Do not have gurukuls or free langars. They are very shabbily managed. Neglected. So all citizens are not equal.

Bro , No one is a brahman in true sense if you don't learn the vedas. And it apparently takes 50-60 years of your life to completely learn them . Till then you'r just a "dwij"
Very nice Lubna. Good that you saw it. I am pretty confident that the Gita and other Knowledge about Sanatan Dharma should clear all the doubts or queries that you have. After reading the Gita or even alongside, you should see the Ramayan and Mahabharat (this also contains relevant extracts from the Gita since the Gita was recited by Lord Krishna during the war which happens near the end. But these two epics are worth watching and there's a lot to learn from them. Moreover there are many more videos on different aspects of Sanatan Dharma which will keep giving you more knowledge.
Wrong information. Hinduism is as old as the creation itself. Ramayana is more than ten thousand years ago. Hinduism / Sanatan dharma exists before Ramayana.
Pls don't rely on western explanation or vdo on sanatani, most of it is misinformation and their tinted views, indian civilization was not only limited to indus valley , recent exploration of rakhu gari and ganga planes tells otherwise. And no this theory of migration from outside has been debunked by recent discoveries still want to peddle lies . Talk to people who know.
Migration did happen in multiple phases. And outmigration also happened after a point. Indian DNA is like a gradient. From full mixture in some communities to partial mixture in some when caste based marriages became stricter in the society.
Point of note, this philosophy part over-emphasises the Non-Dualistic schools of Vedanta, specifically Advaita. This is often done by both outsiders and Hindus themselves who only follow the spark notes version when intellectualising in English. Largely because the non-dualist philosophy is the one that is most distinct from Abrahamic standpoints.
Lubna - Im glad to see that you picked this one… I was one of the viewers who suggested you to check this one out as beginners guide to basic principles.. Just one thing to remember.. in Sanatan all Deities and Gods are just manifestation of Brahman (the supreme being also called Parameshwar)… which is why every Sanatani is free to choose which God he/she considers suoreme.. or doesn’t even believe in God
Dear Lubna, very nice upload. Vedic scriptures and Upanishads have a world of knowledge. If one patiently goes through thoroughly, he will be enlightened and will also lead a wonderful life. He will in turn attain Salvation( Meaning no rebirth).
Hi Lubna, nice of you to take interest in Hinduism. In this video you learnt briefly about Lord Shiva and his third eye. As per scriptures his abode is on Mount Kailash in the Himalayas. You may find it interesting that no one has ever been able to climb this mountain till date though people achieved a climb on mount Everest which is nearby. From the space when satellites saw Mount Kailash, they found a huge structure looking like Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati.
I am a Sanatani Hindu and love all human beings equally irrespective of their faith. Your aborgin is from Bharat so I sincerely love ur efforts and wisdom ❤❤❤.
Overall very informative video on Sanatan Hinduism. Covered a lot of Scriptures. Anyone truly studying can learn a lot, even more than many Hindus. About caste system as mentioned in video: In Gita Lord Shri Krishna speaks of Varna system, that too based on ones aptitude not birth. Later in last few 100 years back it became corrupt and birth became the benchmark. It took a name of Caste system a term imported from Portuguese "Casta." Even Caste system is slowly going out in most states of India except a few. Overall good video.
Caste system is the introduction by the British. Hindus believe in Varna-System and not the caste system. Ramayana and Mahabharata, both were composed by those who fall in the category of Shudra, as per the present Christian/Muslim standards.
Please always remember one thing. Sanatan is NOT defined. Always refer to multiple sources. There are no absolutes. We are a fluid belief system based on guidance and recommendations for the ultimate life experience. That is why you see and hear of so much divers in prayer methods or rituals or even celebrations. Nothing except the core beliefs is set in stone. Even the words of The Bhagvad Gita can have multiple interpretations based on your own experiences.
The Mahabharata is believed to have been dictated by Sage Krishna Dwaipayana also known as Veda Vyasa, who was the last compiler of the Vedas. Which must have been given out by various Rishis over many prior Centuries or millennia. According to Hindu traditions, he (Krishna Dwaipayana Vyasa) lived 5100 years ago, in the times of the Mahabharata war. The Aryan Invasion theory that a race called the Aryans invaded Northern India and built a new civilisation (later modified into the Aryan migration) is a 19th Century European fiction. There is a continuity of motifs, and cultural and religious symbols that have existed from the Indus Valley to the present day. The term Aryan in ancient Sanskrit refers to a person of noble character who faithfully observed the traditions and civilised norms.

Since we have grown in it, it is a little bit easy for us to understand the GOD concept. We see GOD in trees, birds, rivers, mountains, humans, animals and everything else. Hence, we can accept any culture and respect them as we do ours.
We support you!

I enjoyed that, a very good start to understanding Hinduism, thanks for showing this ✔✔😀😀
16:08 No, the influence of the Manusmriti is overstated, because the British used it when creating law codes for the natives.
Yes, this is corrupt manusmriti. The one by Arya samaj - Bisudh Manusmriti - is the most authentic one.
This video is great for beginners. .. great choice to know the basics
Jai. Hind. Jai. Humanity. 🙏🙏

I glad in this video castism is explained very well..many people thinks 🤔 caste is by birth but in our hindu scriptures caste is that which determined by your action(karma) not birth..❤
But it now by birth
After manu
And we are follow manu not Hinduism
@@ashok-nandlalmeghwal3986dude
Read Dr.baba saheb Ambedkar's book
The corrupted version of manusmriti was followed which led to Casteism ...
Later on scholars presented Vishudh manusmriti ..........
@@ashok-nandlalmeghwal3986 I*iot, it's because constitution of india, I'm Dalit not because I'm think that but actually Indian constitution calling me Dalit, My father also Dalit, our Future child Also dalit according to the Constitution of India!
Great podcast Lubna 🙏🙏🙏
Cheers 🥂
All religions are not equal. Any religion that's intolerant and violent (i-slam) is obviously inferior
Veri good Lubna ji 🙏🙏🙏

Nice video Lubna ji. This is educational even for many Hindus so thank you for enlightening and Educating
Namskar Lubna ji Jai Shree Ram i love my India 🇮🇳
Mujhe lagta hai Lubna sab dharm chodo sirf ek dharma apnao aur woh hai inasaniyat ka, teach your kids the same too. God bless you
Usko "manav-dharm" kehte hai .

🙏
Lubna can you do another video like this on sikhism and islam as well it will educate everyone
Lubna ji mujhe English nhi aata hai lekin story bahut pasand aayi kyuki main Sanskrit ache se samajhte hu jay hind jay bharat jay sanatan dharm ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
2:42 if you are Shia, chances are more, you are Brahman Before Converting to Islam
Bro ,
No one is a brahman in true sense if you don't learn the vedas.
And it apparently takes 50-60 years of your life to completely learn them . Till then you'r just a "dwij"
Thank you Lubna madam . Fire as usual and rocking💜💜💜💜💜
❤Hello.Lubnaji. Lk & Lv Evr. Tq. So Mch.
Ramayan Book is 10,000 years old Not Ramayan History!
gud video giving a basic overview of hinduism👍👍👍👍😊😊😊
Pls don't rely on western explanation or vdo on sanatani, most of it is misinformation and their tinted views, indian civilization was not only limited to indus valley , recent exploration of rakhu gari and ganga planes tells otherwise. And no this theory of migration from outside has been debunked by recent discoveries still want to peddle lies . Talk to people who know.
India Vallay Civilization is Hindu Civilization
Kya galat hai bhai? Sahi toh bataya hai
I believe the video has correctly summarised the concept for any beginner to understand.
You are doing really good. All the best.
❤It was very nice for beginners. Lubna🙏
I feel so blessed to be a sanatani, aka Hindu.
Always appreciate your videos ❤❤❤
constant practice and detachment to the worldly things leads to a state of mind where you can experience the eternal bliss or have a glimpse of it.
Already started liking you lubna…..
Keep exploring and keep trying to find your self…..
All the best for future endeavours 😊
There is no one untouchable in Hinduism..
You're most welcome!! I was sure that it'd help you. Please keep it up and thanks for your reaction! ✨
It took a name of Caste system a term imported from Portuguese "Casta."
Even Caste system is slowly going out in most states of India except a few.
Overall good video.
Sari Prakriti ki respect sirf Sanatan Dharm Mein Hoti Hai Jisko Ham Puja ke Madhyam se Dete Hain Duniya ke kisi bhi Cult Mein Aisa Nahin hoga🙏🕉
Dear Lubna GOD bless you
Caste system is the introduction by the British. Hindus believe in Varna-System and not the caste system.
Ramayana and Mahabharata, both were composed by those who fall in the category of Shudra, as per the present Christian/Muslim standards.
The video is praise worthy.
Chalo aapne hamara sun liya. Thanks👍🙏
Great job lubnaji...
Excellent analysis.
There are many points that are not covered in a single video.
It's informative for everyone including Hindus as Sanatna is a way of life, so it looks dynamic everytime.
Nice reation. Please also see "16 Indian Philosophies Explained Like Strategies in A Game".
Cogito makes good videos. Though the video is old, but it gives a rough idea of the religion. And as always love your videos.
Even the words of The Bhagvad Gita can have multiple interpretations based on your own experiences.
well said ...
Lubna ji, You are in right direction. It is brief of Hindu Dharma.Sprituality is the science to realise ATMA.
The term Aryan in ancient Sanskrit refers to a person of noble character who faithfully observed the traditions and civilised norms.
keep it up!
Good analysis
