I'd much rather lose my Muse to removal when other players get scared of it and not outright be made to lose, than effectively say "the only way you can get rid of my Seedborn effect ASAP is by making me lose ASAP".
I play a lot of things like arbor elf and utopia sprawl in my kenrith deck already. The +1 of this teferi is insane enough for this kind of mana ramp and the ult makes it even better
I don't think there's any Teferi planeswalker that I'd be happy to see across the table from me, but THIS one in particular... I think I'd be the least upset about it.
Just letting you know, tapping the creature down, does nothing in this case. It gets to untap on their turn. Taping a creature down is meant to be used offensively. When the control player is ready to attack, tap the enemy blocker to guarantee you hit.
Oops I missed that. Oh well, 2 out of 3 isn't so bad. I guess there's always a turn 1 creature that could be left there to block, and we can get a free swing off if we really wanted to utilize the creature tap/untap. t5feri +1 to hold up lightning helix/counterspell to protect himself was a decent tempo play. He doesn't offer himself creature protection if he does that route and yet it's still a nice play, so maybe it might work for new teferi too?

Awesome episode! I've been excited for this card. I run Sisay for commander and thought to mention Vorenclex, Monstrous Raider as an excellent doubler also. The best part in Sisay is that she can search for Vorenclex as a legendary and guarantee a way to insta-alt planeswalkers.
To be fair Teferi does ramp a lot. Untapping a land and rock in the same turn you play it can allow you to keep up action to kinda protect it or interact. Imagine T1 Land Sol Ring. T2 Teferi and can play a 3 drop the same turn. Then T 3 8 mana?

On the bright side, this card seems outright awful and overcosted for its mediocre non-ultimate abilities. For people that like Teferi and like this art, it'll be a cheap pickup!
I know this is a commander channel but since it’s coming in a standard set and actually looks really strong for blue/white strategies in a newly rotated standard. So I actually expect it to probably be one of the chase cards for the set and be fairly expensive as a result.
@@absolutionis why not run both? And yes the goal is to ult every walker...thats why Vorinclex and Carth and Doubling Season and Chain Veil and Oath of Teferi...
How is it overcosted if it can basically generate mana the turn it comes in ? If you have say just a mana rock and an elf, it basically cost you 1 mana to put him on the board and heal 2 life.
